No cell phone service in room. Check in an out at another location is a hassle. Room smelled like smoke and two phone calls were made but no one ever came to fix it. Did not have enough towels in the room. Extra wash cloths were asked for but never brought. Workers by pool area were rude.

Overall, our stay was pretty pleasant. The most inconvenient part was checking in. Pulling up at the hotel, walking up to the front desk to check in, and then being told that I have to get back in my car and drive to a completely different location to check in than the actual hotel just doesn't make sense to me and it really does nothing but grate at […] my nerves after I've been driving for 7 hours. We also weren't able to check in on time and had to wait an additional hour before we could get the key cards to our room. I tried to be understanding because it was Spring Break and all, but the hotel should have been a little more prepared for that as well. Once we were finally able to get into our room and settled, everything was fine. The room was nice, and everything that we needed was included. My kids had an awesome time sitting on the balcony and watching the boats and everything go by. It was also nice being so close to everything; most shops and restaurants were within walking distance. In the future, I will consider staying at the Shores of Panama again. I was not completely sold on it, but I will not count it out as a possible place to stay. Read more

Though the manager was extremely rude and before the check in charged us an extra 545 dollars because it was "in the fine print", we got all that money back because when we finally got to our room it was trashed!! I arrived at 5pm to find that I had to travel about 2 miles to get to the office park where you check in for the condo. Then they charged me an additional $118 for the stay even though my reservations said "paid in full". I get to the room, the carpet is stained multiple spots, the light fixture on the fan is missing the globe, the lampshades are terrible, […] the bed cover was worn, old, and had terrible pillows, the drawers in the kitchen didn't work well. I called the maintenance number. They said they would have someone clean the carpet, nobody showed up. Nothing was ever done or corrected. I needed internet access. The reservation said that wi-fi was complimentary. OK, so I assumed this would be actually in the room. When I called to find out why there was no wi-fi, they said that the unit did not have it, and I would have to go to the "business center" for access or I could go to walmart and buy a connection cord. Ultimately this was a very bad condo unit, terrible service recovery, and I learned my lesson to not adventure out from what I already know or come to expect with other major brand hotels. Read more

Geez I don't even know where to start with this place - it was SO awful and ridiculous!! If it weren't for the view and the fact that I was a half mile walk from the start line for Ironman Florida, I would have refused to stayed there! DO you want me to start with having to drive a half hour across town to pick up my key? Or being hit with an additional […] $200 charges for "resort fee" and "cleaning fee" once I drove across town away from the beach for a half hour to pick up my keys? Then there were the rooms - definitely privately owned condos - not a hotel. When I did arrive at the hotel, I was informed there are 2 different management companies there - one through hotels.com which requires an additional resort and cleaning fee and the other was on site - and was much better managed. The room floors were covered with dirt and the toilets had mold. I complained and they did clean the floors and looked like they may have tried to vacuum the carpet. With the cleanliness issue aside, then there was the furniture. The furniture in the condo looked like someone had gone to a flea market, bought the cheapest furniture possible, spray painted it white, and then threw it into the rooms. The mattresses were all really old and sloped downward substantially. The linens were sad at best, but were better than the furniture. I would only stay here as a last resort IF AND ONLY IF YOU ARE DOING IRONMAN FLORIDA. There is no other imaginable reason to stay here!!! It is awful!!!!! Read more

The hotel grounds are beautiful but the comfort of your stay depends completely on the room you are assigned. Ours was horrible. We stay there about 3 times per year and usually the rooms are pretty nice but over my last couple of stays I have noticed a decline in quality.

Spent two hours on the phone trying to change my reservation. The staff that is in the car port as you pull in is completely unhelpful and unfriendly. On a positive note, it's nice to have the snack bar by the pool and the pool area is beautiful and perfect for young kids. My family also enjoyed the hot tub.

The hotel service was terrible. When we arrived at the Hotel, there were a bunch of hotel staff at the lobby but no one helped us. We even have to ask where the elevator since it was not conveniently located in the lobby. We never received a phone call to ask if we were okay with the relocation. Booking was for 3 bedroom but we got only a two bedroom […] with a bunk bed instead of a three bedroom. Hotel staff were not helpful at all. Wouldn't recommend this stay to anyone. While the location was good and the pool area well maintained we experienced a number of problems starting with check in . We could not check in at the property. We had to go to a Winn Dixie plaza 7 miles away. Then we were hit with an undisclosed mandatory cleaning fee of over $100. and learned they would not clean until after we left. So no new towels […] , sheets etc. This turned out to be a privately owned condo unit instead of the motel we expected. The unit was old, old dirty carpet. Only one set of sheets, two pillow cases (5 pillows), one roll of toilet paper , no blanket. Couldn't see the TV from the bed. No on site management to call and get help. First of all, it was a condo, not a hotel. You had to check in and drive 7 miles to the condo. We did get hit with $160.00 cleaning charge that was hidden in their fine print. Therefore, only one set of towels for the weekend, no daily cleaning of room. Pool and location to beach was great.

my family really enjoyed our trip to Shores of Panama Oaseas. The pool was incredible and clean. The staff was very friendly and the beach BEAUTIFUL!!!!! Our room was very clean and the hotel was within walking distance to restruants, shopping, and fun. I will be back here again.

Received NO maintenance at all and no clean towels. Had to wash our towel daily. We went in October and pool was freezing not heated but they do have an indoor heated pool. Was nice enough I guess but will not be staying there again.

The Oaseas management company if awful. This resort has two management companies, Oaseas and Resort Collection. Pay more for the onsite property management, Resort Collection. Oaseas is offsite 3 miles down the road and does not answer their phone or return messages. Do not stay here on a busy weekend because the garage parking will be dreadful if […] you have an SUV. Tip: the rooms are floors 1-23 and garage levels are 1-12. Stay on the lower levels to avoid frequent uses of the elevators. I counted 6 elevators but all are a 5-10 minute wait during busy weekends. Walmart is across the street. Pineapple Willy's is next door for lunch or dinner on the beach. The pool and beach are gorgeous. Read more

Well besides the fact that this hotel was pricy for "one" night they also charged me a $70 cleaning fee plus $30 of I don't know what right before receiving my keys. This was the worst experience I have ever had on a vacation. They charged more fees upon arrival, This was no small amount. The resort is conviently located to so many tourist places many within walking distance. This is a plus. We had a maintaince man come to our room on our 3 day stay of a 5 day stay. He then worked on our door and to our knowledge […] we had no problem with the door. He said it was routine maintaince. As soon as he left we also vacated the room. Upon our arrival no one in our party could open the door. After 4 trips to the front desk and 2 conversations with the manager on duty. We finally got another visitor ( a big man) to push the door in. It was definaely stuck on something. Upon opening the door we noticed it was hanging crucked. We then called the front desk for maintaince another 8 times.We all left the room again.Maintaince never showed up. One of my friends arrived back at the room before the rest of the group she spent a total of 3 hours trying to get into the room. Finally upon our arrival back to the room another quest helped with the door.Where they advised they would send maintaince. I called them every 30 minutes until the maintaince man arrived I asked him to try and open the door, he was no small guy. He had a hard time opening the door also. I left my personnal cell # at the front desk a total of 2 times for the manager to give me a call. We have now been gone for days and still no call from any manager of this property. Read more

The resort was beautiful. Location was great, next to great restaruants and walmart. Staff was nice. Activitiies for kids were cute. Pool was great as was the beach.
