"New property, good staff, great location"
This place is very new. Photos are representative of the luxurious design aesthetic. Although not every desk person spoke great English, they all tried hard and were effective. The Condesa location is walking distance to lots of great restaurants and shops. If you are a dog lover, the park across the street is wonderful dog watching.

"New Hip Hotel in Condesa"
Very hip hotel in the heart of Condesa. The staff was very nice and welcomed me with a complimentary beverage. The front of the hotel is hard to find so look carefully - it looks like a regular apartment building which is kind of cool because it makes you feel like you are just another resident of Condesa. The rooms are small like a hotel in NYC but they were very well designed and I didn't feel like the size of the room was an issue. Definitely will stay here again.

"Stylish hotel in DF's coolest neighborhood"
The Hippodrome Hotel in Condesa is brand new. The rooms are stylish and super comfortable. The location of the hotel is also perfect for anyone looking to explore Mexico City. La Condesa is my favorite neighborhood in the city. You can get yourself to 50+ restaurants/bars/cafes/shops within 5 minutes on foot. The only drawback to the hotel is that there's no bar/restaurant, but there's plenty of night life in the area to make up for it. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Mexico City. It's a good deal for the comfort, style, and location.

"too much design, too little service & function"
Arrived at about 23H30 [night], the night before our wedding. With no-one at reception, we waited for about 30 minutes before a sleepy eye'd man dropped in from an upper level. The elevator wasn't working so our heavy bags got carried up the narrow step, by us, while he stood and watched. Once in the room, all was good, comfortable, plush. Except for the bathroom vanity where there's no space to put anything. Too much design, too little service and functionality.

No había elevador.

"BUENO A SECAS"

"Boutique hospitalty"

The Hippodrome offers everything you'd want in a boutique hotel in this bustling capital city: quiet environment on a side street, you can keep your windows open undisturbed by traffic noises; proximity to great restaurants in the Condesa neighborhood; comfortable, contemporary rooms and a friendly staff with great hospitality. Keeping it on our list for the next visit.

"Great Staff, Beautiful Room"
08/19/15 7ScottM77 Corpus Christi, Texas
If you like to be made to feel genuinely welcome when away from home, this is the place. The staff go all out to ensure all needs and questions are addressed and handled. We were here the first week of July 2015 and loved the evening rain showers, the upbeat locals, and the fantastic neighborhood. The rooms are very well appointed and tastefully decorated. The in-house restaurant features fresh expertly prepared food. If you are fortunate, Benito will be on duty. He is warm-hearted, knows his business, and enjoys being helpful. The manager, Leo, went over and above for us. When we arrived, my partner was not feeling well, and when he heard about it he came and asked me to view another room one floor up. It had a huge double window that opened to the crisp evening air. He felt like it would help my partner get well quickly, and he was right. She and I were both grateful. By the way, it was a room upgrade, and Leo offered the move at no charge! In short, the Hippodrome will be my go-to hotel when I return to Mexico City.

"Best Boutique hotel in Mexico DF"
08/10/15 Carolina V Washington DC, District of Columbia
My husband travels for businness to Mexico DF very often and discovered the Hippodrome almost a year ago and felt in love with the hotel. Since his first visit he kept talking about it and insisting me to join him in one of his trips for the two of us to stay here. I finally came to mexico for a week and can only agree with him. This boutique hotel at the heart of one of the most trendy neighborhood in Mexico DF is worth visit! Beautiful ambiance, superb service and hospitality. Staff makes you feel at home (Leo and Benito, among many others, are the best!). . Rooms are very comfortable with a modern decoration but keeping the special style of the art-deco building where the hotel has been built. A real gem in one of the most special place in Mexico which nowadays is the " the place to be" ( which on top it is very safe, something important in a big city like the D.F).

"Beautiful hotel and wonderful staff."

I was there with a small group working in Mexico City. We were automatically impressed with the staff and the neighborhood. Everyday we were given bottles of water, hot coffee and offered breakfast to go for free. The area has some fantastic restaurants and a huge park covered in old growth trees. Great place for a walk or a run. The biggest surprise was the restaurant in back. It's very unsuspecting. We didn't even venture back there till our 3rd day. It is a 5 star spot with professional wait staff and the architecture is unbelievable. It really is a special place. Worth checking out even if you don't stay at the hotel

"Second to none venue and service"

Spent a week in this hotel in Mexico City in June 2015. I had never heard of the hotel but came recommended through a friend. The venue, staff, food and service are second to none. The hotel is located in one of the most important and upcoming neighborhoods in town. I highly recommend it.

"A gem in the DF area!"

This hotel is a gem in the México DF area. It’s cozy and modern and the staff were always very friendly and helpful, they made us feel at home. The rooms had been recently renovated when we were there in December 2014 and the location of the hotel is the best we could look for. It’s a highly reccommended place to stay if you are planning to spend a few days in México DF. We loved it!

"Excellent service oriented boutique hotel in great location of Mexico city"
06/30/15 DRJDL Phoenix, Arizona
This is a well maintained trendy boutique hotel in an excellent location/neighborhood of Mexico city. The staff were all genuinely nice and courteous going out of their way to ensure a great stay. Leo, the day manager made himself readily available for questions regarding things to do around the city, restaurant recommendations, etc. He even arranged a private driver to take us to visit the Basilica. The cost was very reasonable and comparable to a taxi, without the benefits of a personal driver and tour guide. Benito, the bell boy was extremely helpful assisting with everything from drinks delivered to the room to running down the street to a pharmacy to get mouthwash to assisting with luggage. The personable service from the staff was incredible. The head manager, Mari visited with us out front of the hotel while we waited for friends. She was so nice and hospitable. We will definitely be returning to this hotel on our future trips to Mexico City.

"Great location!"

This hotel has everything you want in a big city....the location is an absolute advantage. Centrally located, in a beautiful historic area that has trees, parks, local shops, restaurants and cafes-you get a neighborhood feel right in the heart of the city. The modern upscale decor affords a metropolitan feel without compromising room size and comfort. I have recommended this hotel to other friends traveling to Mexico City!

"Two Thumbs Up"

I travel to Mexico for business & pleasure at least 4 times per year and have always stayed at larger hotels on Reforma in down-town if one can define such an area in this massive city. A friend of mine suggested this place to me and while skeptical at first (not being the safest city) I fell in love and will never give this hotel a miss again. The location is brilliant. It is green, safe, affluent. Great restaurants and bars around (some of them can easily compete with the world's best). The hotel is perfect for what it is. Small, cozy, modern, simplistic. Rooms are comfortable and practical and remind me a bit of the Room Mate hotels just better. Clean, designer toiletries, comfortable bed, good wi-fi, friendly and more so efficient staff, easy and quick check-in/ check-out. I haven't tried laundry and am not even sure they have it but for me, as a business traveler with spouse, this hotel is just simply brilliant. The good news is - no traffic in the area so you get quickly from A-B! Those who are frequently in the city know too well what I am talking about....

"Boutique Gem"
06/23/15 Ibilia Dubai, United Arab Emirates
Am not usually the reviewing type of small hotels that I book for a couple of nights while travelling from city to city while on a sightseeing holiday but this place deserves a special mentioning. We stayed in a room on the top floor in this recently renovated boutique hotel. The interior design simplistic but very tasteful. Cleanliness impeccable and I have a thing for spotless hotel rooms as I work in this business. The staff were super attentive and went out of their way to highlight to us the top places to eat in town. The quiet and from what we gathered very safe and very upscale neighbourhood reflected well on the hotel´s location which is ideal and central. My hats off to the management for running such a perfect little piece of heaven in an otherwise very chaotic city.
