This was an excellent location and hotel to stay in for our first time in New Orleans. Located within walking distance to all of the main sites it made it easy to get around. We enjoyed the friendly service and hotel amenities and although we had booked a King room and received two Queens all of the benefits outweighed this minor oversight on the hotels part.

Room was nice and convenient to Casino and French Quarter. We had handicap room that we did not request. Shower got water all over bathroom floor. We asked for a change but no King beds available if we changed. We learned to cope and enjoyed our stay. We needed internet service so my wife could work a little during out visit. It was pricey and to say it was slow would be an understatement. If you are going to charge a premium for internet it should work well don't you think.

We were very happy with our stay at Harrah's. The rooms were spacious and had a good view.We had access to all transportation with-in a block of hotel/casino.We also found several good restaurants with-in walking distance with wide variety. ( wings to filet mignon)

The hotel staff was very attentive and pleasant. It was remarkably chilly outside, but that was no fault of the hotel. There were no buildings in NO which were able to adapt to the Minnesota type climate.

Hotel itself was great; however, we were not allowed to check in until almost 6:30 p.m.! It was Sugar Bowl night and we wanted to get to our room before leaving for dinner and the game, but no luck. Had to change clothes in the car. Staff needs to more concerned if they really want a first-class hotel.

Our stay with Harrah's was extremely pleasant, the entire staff was so nice and made it a pleasure to stay there. Very helpful!! EXCEPT for the Room Service, we tried to get something to eat after the game around 12:30-12:45...they told us it was going to be a 2 hour wait. Instead we went to bed hungry, because nothing else was open. Extremely disappointed in that area. But the overall stay was pleasant and would like to stay again, but won't be ordering Room Service.

Toilet seat that whould not stay on, a TV that was so old and the screen so bad it gave you a headache to watch, a shower head that was clogged, and lastly blond hair on the floor everywhere. And lastly Charged for handicapped parking too! Never again

We really enjoyed the spacious rooms, bath rooms with separate room with toilet is always a plus when you are married. Also the standup shower with separate tub make a big difference too! The hotel is directly across the steer from Canal Street and it also connects to great restaurants and the casino. Great experience all around.

This was our first visit to New Orleans and we just happened to book at Harrah's. We couldn't have been more satisfied. The staff was excellent; friendly and informative. The room was comfortable and the bathroom was more than adequate. We were within waliking distance of the French Quarter but not bothered by crowds and noise.

I had a request to have all 4 rooms together. 3 were on same floor. I had names of guest pre organized, it took a few phone calls for the person registering to see the notes. And the first morning people kept trying to enter the room, including staff and a stranger - Eventhough do not disturb was on the door - apparently someone had double booked the room and there was confusion. Everyone was nice and place was clean and fun but that level of disorganization /disturbance is substandard for 4 star hotel.

We had a wonderful time for the three days my wife and I spent at Harrahs. The hotel staff was welcoming, polite, and helpful. The Buffet Restaurant at the Casino was fantastic. We were very pleased with our stay and plan to do so again.

Awesome room and location. But the service was a miss. They forgot to clean our room. When we noted it - it was evening and too late. Our room keys were disabled and took a while to get re activated. No reason given. Room service took over an hour for 2 sandwiches. That is ok in general - except they said it would be 20 minutes. All of that was just inconvenience. We had a great time overall and the staff was friendly. Would have been nice, though, if the staff recognized it and offered something in return. Even a complimentary drink or dessert would have meant something.

The hotel is nice on the inside. I had a large room that was very clean. This was a business trip for two nights. At no point during my trip did my shower produce hot, or even warm, water. It was ice cold the entire time. I made six attempts to have this fixed with no success. When it was clear that they were disregarding my request, I asked to switch rooms and was unable to due to overbooking on their end. After I left, I attempted to contact the hotel manger, and assistant managers, no less than 10 times with ZERO response. Completely inconsiderate. My worst hotel experience to date, and a place I will never consider staying again.

All of the personnel at Harrah's were so friendly and courteous. The staff made us feel very welcome with their southern charm. Their concierge helped out quite a bit with getting us to the New Orleans Jazz Fest with several great options. Harrah's made us feel right at home. It was a great experience.

The staff was phenomenal, but the amenities were not the best. The hot water didn't always work in the room and the gym was very disappointing. Also, onsite concessions were astronomically priced (I paid $5.50 for a cup of coffee). In a town full of hotels, I'm not sure this would rank at the top of the list

The Harrah's was a very pleasant experience. The hotel was close enough to bourbon street to walk (about 10 mins), but far enough to get away from the crazy and have some quiet time. The staff was very helpful with everything. They all had great attitudes ( no matter how many questions we asked or how many requests we had). I would definitely go back to New Orleans and I would stay at the Harrah's again. It was a very RELAXING and FUN trip. Worth the money.

Employees not very helpful or friendly. Infacr check in person was very rude never ven made eye contact. There were four employees all chating together adout a club, had to wait for them to finish to check us in. Also charged a 30 early check in fee after telling us they would wave the charge. But the hotel itself was nice and great location. But dont exspect great service

Good hotel by NOLA standards, but no Vegas! We came to gamble .. The casino is a little old, they only comp domestic beer and fountain Sri is. If you gamble for 30 mins they will comp your hotel parking as well($34/night)

Nice Hotel, great room service very friendly staff. one very important note. the hotel is not on the same side of the street. You can take a tunnel under the street escalators down and up again then walk out and cross to a side entrance. not a very far walk. its just you stay at other hotels which also surround the only game in town, something to keep in mind. it's about an 8 minute walk to convention center. 15 minute walk to Bourbon street. great location cigar bar about 4 minutes away.

The main impression is one of poor training and incompetence of the staff. One would go down to the lobby and 10 people would ask if they could help you, but none of them actually did help. 3 separate times I asked for Bell assistance and never received it. I got a smoking room instead of the requested non-smoking room. They said they could switch it, but in when I got to my room it smelled like a cigar bar. Had to wait a day to switch rooms. The Ruth's Chris Steak house in the hotel was also poorly run. Sometimes OK service, often a lot of staff milling around doing nothing. The two other associated restaurants "Grand Isle" and "Mannings" also had extremely poor service and were not focused on the customer. This may be that many of the customers are getting "free food" by using the casino, and so there is no motivation of the restaurant staff of management to provide good service. Overall I would not recommend this hotel.
