Close to train and city life and transport.Great excellent staff and Stephine is wonderfull.

Just back from a 3 day stay at the Abode. The hotel was a lovely modern hotel that was very clean. The staff were spot on and really went out of their way at all times to insure our stay was the best it could be. I would highly recommend Michael Caines Res down stairs. The food was fantasic and the service brilliant. It was not too stuffy, a lovely atmosphere and great food. Only minor annoyance with our stay was the noise from house keeping everyday. I think the building itself in one that sound and noise seems to echo through it. So when house keeping started it felt like they were constantly banging doors beside my head. No chance of a sleep in! Over all my stay was great. I found Manchester slightly difficult to get around. The different areas seemed to be so spread out. Try to avoid staying close to the hotel at nigt because there is alot more out there. Get a taxi to the Deansgate area and take it from there. The hotel staff are fantasic at helping you out and giving you advice on where to go. They also put you on the guest list to places which we did not do because we were not interested in clubbing.. If you are though I would advise putting your name down on the guest list. There were long q's outside most places on Sat night. We found one bar two streets behind the hotel that was great. I forget the name but it was young and trendy with good music. Enjoy your trip.

We were really impressed with the Abode - great location (close to the station and town centre) Very nicely decorated - traditional in the communal areas and modern in the bedrooms. Staff very friendly and helpful. Would definately stay again.

Only visited for one night. Room was large enough, quiet, clean and very comfortable. Great location. Nothing to complain about at all.

We stayed at this hotel when it was the Rosetti, before it was taken over and 'totally refurbished' by Abode. At that time the rooms looked a little tired, and it didn't live up to the image presented on its website. We tried it again as Abode had supposedly refurbished the whole hotel. It is clear to see what has been done downstairs, but the room we stayed in was exactly as it had been before, ie, it looked in need of updating. The location is great, the room was clean, but a little tired. So if you're happy with that for the money, go for it. Personally, I would recommend Malmaison or the Macdonald, both closeby, instead.

The hotel is very central. The room was small but very comfortable and the staff at the hotel were phenomenal- very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay there again

Booked this at the last minute just for one night, the hotel is in a brilliant position right in the centre of Manchester so we got the train into Picadilly and walked 5 mins down the street to the hotel. It has been renovated recently so the decor was very nice and the staff weren't the best on arrival but were helpful in the end when it came to asking where to go and they kindly looked after our bags the day we checked out so we could walk around the city. We visited Michael Caines restaurant under the hotel and it was absolutley fab would deffinatley go back but it is quite expensive (£100+ for 2 x 2 courses and a bottle of wine) all in all a very good experience. thanks

No tea and coffe facilities in the room meant I could not have an early cup of tea unless I was willing to go to the tea and coffee sation in the corridor which had run out of coffee anyway. Wooden floor in rooms looked good but I prefer carpet under my feet when I get up.

We arrived on Firday afternoon, not really sure where we were going and found it by accident on main road down from Picadilly station into the main part of town, literally 2min walk from Pic station! Checked in with very nice woman at the desk and headed up to our room. Although my girlfriend struggled hugely with the card key in the door (not that there was anything wrong with it), we let ourselves into a beautiful double room. The ceilings were very high and the room was almost a sort of open plan appartment, with huge windows and even larger curtains. Bed was fantasticly comfy, nice linen and plenty of nice towels in the very spacious bathroom - in which the shower was fantastic. The room had a decent sized flat screen tv as well as a dvd player and promise of a handsome collection of DVDs if we asked for Oscar at reception. Alas we didn't but i'm sure Oscar would have been very happy to help had we done so! I can't recommend this hotel enough...beautiful rooms, and something a little bit different from your standard hotel room! Restaurant looked great as well, although we didn't eat there so couldn't really comment properly! Book a room...NOW!!!

Great location for canal street etc, and possibly the best hotel bed I have ever slept in...

Generally everything satisfactory except that the lift is not working when we stayed there for 3 days. Efficiency for repairing work is extremely slow and unacceptable. Bed is too high and a bit small for double bed though it's callled king size.

This was a lovely hotel easy to find with an NCP right opposite. Staff very helpful and friendly. Had a meal in the MC bar which was excellent. Did not have breakfast in the hotel but right next door there is a lovely bar/restaurant which was also excellent.

Abode was well situated, very central and only about 4 minutes from Piccadily train station. Nice architectural features, unfortunately the lift was out of order for a week, and as my husband is disabled, we were put on the first floor, as he can only cope with one flight of stairs. The room was tidy and clean, if slightly worn. The quirky bed cover might have been amusing when originally planned, but as it looked worn and bobbly, it would have looked better without it, but we are only talking aesthetics... The bed was huge! very comfortable and with plenty of pillows. Sufficient tea and coffee in room. Nice flat screen TV (if you like that sort of thing) DVD and CD player incorporated too. We slept well, and weren't disturbed. We declined to pay nearly £14 each for breakfast, as there is a Wetherspoons only a few doors away where it cost about £4...okay it probably wasn't as good, but I would rather save my money for a nice lunch or dinner. Plenty to see within walking distance and there are free city centre circuit buses to and from the near-bye train station, which is a boost for the less mobile...just hop on and off as you tour the city centre. The North quarter is great for arts, crafts and retro clothing, and is my favourite area, especially the craft and design centre for lovely contemporary jewellery. China town is a must, the bakery there is a great cheap place for a snack, especially the hot and sour soup and the crust custard and honey buns...

Me and my wife stayed here for just one night in June. We were so impressed with the hotel that we are returning next year for a city break for 5 days. The staff were knowledgable, the rooms were clean and extremely comfortable and the restaraunt next door was superb. Just wish we were there longer.

stayed for my boyfriends birthday so we could go to a concert and have a few drinks. hotel is right near picadilly station so handy (although expensive) parking close by. room was gorgeous v comfy with a huge beautiful bathroom. we stayed in the cheapest room called 'comfortable' and it was certainly that. everything you might need is in the room eg. hairdryer, iron, cute pink polkadot ironing board, posh snacks (you have to pay for of course!). reception and door staff were lovely and we had a lovely stay (and took advantage of the 12o'clock checkout!)

Enjoyed our stay. Stayed in what was described as a 'comfortable room' (102) and considering this was advertised as a 4* hotel I was very disappointed with the room size which frankly would have been small for a single room. There was hardly roomto walk down the side of the double bed. This was made more precarious as the only way we could plug the kettle in was to plug it in via a power point alonside the bed. Other reviews have been good and hopefully other rooms are bigger but given the risk of getting such a small room I would prefer other hotels on this road such as the city in, Malmaison or MacDonalds and suggest you pop into this one for the excellent gourmet Burger in the Cafe Bar for your lunch!

This hotel is ideally situated for the centre of Manchester and is very smart and well done out. The staff very nice and helpful. Only fault was that the sink in our room would not empty and we asked reception to come and fix it but they forgot. Very minor complaint to an otherwise excellent standard. We would stay there again without doubt.

We stayed for one night in the Abode. The Abode is very modern and bright, in a great location, stones throw away from Picaddily station and a short walk to the shops. The staff were very helpful and the room was clean and spacious (we had booked a standard room but were upgraded to a 'desirable' room). We would definately stay here again. Very good value considering the location.

This is a lovely hotel, tastefully furnished and with great service. Couldn't fault it. Will stay again.

The night staff were extremely rude and insisted we had booked a single room when we had booked a double. after 20 mins of them argueing at us and then them checking they raesleid their mistake but it ruined the stay. They didnt even offer an apology.

Topp beliggenhet i forhold til stasjon og shopping. Dyr mat på hotellet, men mat kan kjøpes i butikker nær hotellet. Praktisk og romslig rom, godt å sove her.

Kjempebra hotell. Store og fine rom som i tillegg var godt rengjort. Bra service av personalet.

Fabelaktig beliggenhet, service, renhold og pris! Kan absolutt anbefales for fritidsreiser.
