Nice time
"They should call it the A...."Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
For the price paid this hotel is totally worth the money. Free breakfast and no resort fees! Location right on fremont. Hotel staff were very nice compared to some higher priced hotels. Front desk was friendly at check in. Valet guys were nice. Breakfast was awesome. Room was a little dated and tired but for the rate paid it was clean, quiet and safe.
"Great Price, Poor Hotel Upkeep"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
The room was a steal at the price, and it was right on the strip. Only complaints /i had were poor lobby lay-out (had to ask where the check in desk was) and poor room and elevator maintenance, the elevators shook so bad i thought we could plunge to the bottom at any moment.

This area has more lodging variety than The Strip. East of the Strip features both gaming and non-gaming properties that range from budget to luxury accommodations. Key attractions here include the Las Vegas Convention Center, the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, the McCarran International Airport, several office parks, and the Restaurant Row along Flamingo and Paradise roads.

There were a few issues. The shower control was installed upside down, and there was no way to get warm water - only too hot or too cold. They did not call for the requested wake-up call that was promised. Rooms were very nice with updated appliances.
"Very decent"
It was a great experience. Front desk people were cool and friendly. Only hiccup was that the rooms seem quite spacious in the pictures, and they include a love seat or couch. Unfortunately, we only had two small chairs and a desk. Other than that it was a good visit.
"great location for a great prie"
I had a great time. The staff was very kind and helpful. I will definitely stay there again!
"Nice place close to the strip."
I got exactly what I expected here. Nice clean place for 30% of what rooms were going for at the casinos this evening. Wouldn't mind staying here if I had the same circumstances again. Very friendly staff too.

"Blair House"
Kind of loud. You have to go ask for Shampoo. They have a "Leisure fee" they hit you with after you get there.
"Great for conventions"
Room was clean and comfortable. Some of the furniture was broken (kitchenette drawer off track, dresser drawer stuck, wardrobe door stuck). Front desk is EXTREMELY slow. Took 25 minutes to check in, and there was only one person ahead of us. They do a lot of stuff on sheets of paper. Free Internet worked great. Overall, worth what we paid, especially […] for the proximity to the convention center. Read more
"It is what it is. A place to crash."
Needed a kitchenette and a place to sleep. Room was clean, but dated and in need of an upgrade. A place to crash for business on the cheap.
"Acceptable"
Family of 4. Room cleanliness and upkeep are on the budget end of the spectrum. There's a news station nearby with a helipad at the level of the 2nd floor - ouch. Internet login is only for 1 device. However, bedroom suite was roomy, had MW stove fridge and sink. Don't expect anything glamorous but it is a satisfactory roof over your head.

couldnt understand the girl at front counter, stayed 2 nights , beds sucked, had upper sheets for lowers sheets and not covering feet area so my feet were directly on mattress, came to room second day room not cleaned and no clean towels, cleaning lady said they showed it as a checked out room, and when i did go to check out they tried charging for […] 3 nights not 2 Read more
"Blair Hotel"
Hotel is old and not worth the price.
"Run down room"
The room was cheap, and they allow small dogs, which was good, but it was run down. There were chipped and stained tables, wet carpets, a bad / weird smell in the room, and I don't think the AC worked. It blew air that was just barely cooler than the outside temp. In addition, my front door latched like it has been broken in to a few times. On the plus […] side, the bed was pretty comfortable. I know they're in the process of remodeling. I sure hope they improve the rooms as part of it. Read more
"10-28-11"
It was an enjoyable stay. decor and furnishings in room could use an upgrade. Lots of junk at the back of hotel didn't really that the area was safe. Bottom line staff was friendly, room was clean ,shower had good pressure and it was a good price. Thanks
"Lots of Space"
Friendly staff. Big room. Convenient to strip. Could use of makeover.. New bedding. etc. Good value
Everything was fine. An older property and the showers need some attention and they have small older televisions. There was a nice big refrigerator and stove.
"IN VEGAS"
THE ONLY PROBLEM THAT I HAD WAS THE AIR CONDITIONER IN THE ROOM WAS REALLY LOUD EVERY TIME IT WILL TURN ON. BUT, THEY ARE REMODELING THE AREA AND HOPEFULLY THIS GETS FIXES. REALLY CLOSE TO THE STRIP.
"Walking distance to Convention Center, Strip"
The location is good; housekeeping is friendly and excellent; kitchenette is handy, but could use a microwave. (Though there is a full range and oven, there are no cooking vessels or utensils in the room. I didn't ask at the desk -- maybe they're available.)
"Blair House Suites"
Close to everything. GREAT housekeeping.
"Blair House -- STAY AWAY PEOPLE!"
I don't expect luxury from a budget hotel. I do expect that it advertises honestly. Blair House is not such a place. Unfortunately I booked late and didn't read all the reviews, otherwise I would have stayed away. Don't let my fate befall you. The hotel advertised a "deluxe king" room with either "two double beds or a king." Mine had only one bed and […] it wasn't a king. It was 60" wide. Queen? Full? I complained to front desk and the girl said if I had a room with only one bed then it was a king because that's what they advertised. Well they can call it what they want, it was NOT a king. I left the "clean room" sign on my door from 11 am until 10 pm and no one cleaned the room. One of the reasons I booked hotel was the wifi service. They provided a code but it expired after 24 hrs. So on my second night, at 2 am local time when I needed to be logged into an online meeting with European colleagues, I couldn't access wifi. Repeated calls to the front desk with no answer. I was out of luck. I have stayed in a fair number of hotels booked throgh hotels.com and I have found them all to be as advertised...until now. I would urge hotels.com to drop Blair House from their listings. Another experience like this and I will book through another service. Read more
"Blair House Suites"
Very good room for the price on a Saturday night. Nothing fancy, almost like a small apartment. It did the job
"Blair House Suites"
First they tried to put in a room in the very back of hotel right next to a room that had the windows broken out. That really makes you feel like your in a safe place. Also that room had two lumpy beds, I had booked for a king. Then they charge an extra fee and called it "Resort" fee. For the use of pool, laundry room &I etc. None of these did I use. […] They charged $50 room deposit plus $50 pet deposit and $5 fee for a pet. Bed was hard and lumpy. Bedding had funky odor and the carpet was lumpy aslo. NOT HAPPY WITH THIS PLACE AT ALL!! Read more

"Time travel"
This place had not been up dated since 1972! The bathroom floor was coming up around the edges, the ice machines did not work, the common areas were trashed and filthy... not to mention the drugs in the parking lot. I dont understand why they have a resort fee either...
"By Far the Worst Hotel I've Ever Experienced"
Please do yourself a favor and never stay in this hotel. Although the location seems pretty sweet, it is actually located on a street that does NOT connect to the Strip or even to I-15! To get to it, you have to make all these U-turns into heavily pedestrian trafficked streets and end up in crazy neighborhoods. You will get lost looking for it the first […] time, I guarantee it. When I got to the hotel, they told me check in wasn't until 4:00, which is very late. I came back at 5:45pm to find there were only three people working the desk and there was a line out the door for checking in. I literally had to wait over an hour to check in. People were cutting the line and everyone was rioting. Still, the desk staff did nothing and continued to process people inefficiently. They then tell you there's a $14 resort fee and $50 deposit which is never mentioned elsewhere. Finally I got checked in and got to my room. If you want a microwave or any amenity in your room they charge you extra. The bed is extremely small and hard as a rock. The plugs also don't always work, nor did the toilet. When I told the front desk they sent maintenance but they never came. Also, the room is advertised as "environmentally friendly!" as if they were doing us such a huge favor, but it's actually the lights and A/C turning off every time you leave so you can return to a 110F room after you go out. I then tried using the "Free Wi-Fi" but there's a code. I then had to go to the office every day to get a new code. So annoying! Oh, and did I mention when I went to the office these times there was a line again? I waited and when it was my turn the lady told me she'd help me after this guy. Another customer then came in and she began to help that new customer! I was extremely angry. Do NOT ever stay at this hotel. You've been warned. (P.S. I have seen customers leave the office crying. Don't put your family through this). Read more

We arrived at 3:00 P.M. was told I couldn't check in until 4:00 P.M. Then the lines was all back up and people were upset cause everyone had been waiting for a long time .Instead of getting customers check in and given an asign room as house keepers finish cleaning the place from the nite before so un organized it was a mess, we got assigned to a room […] at 5:30 P.M. rediculas . we got a room with a bed with three legs the first time and had to be reasigned another room. need a manger. "Blair House Suites in Vegas-STAY AWAY!"
This is an old complex, and you can do a lot better-the Riveria is close by, and has rooms for lower rates, as does Circus Circus, etc. On check in, they will take a photo copy of your DL and CC--not a good thing. My room was fully pre-paid. They would not check me in without a copy of my id and credit card. The desk person was simply rude, and stated […] I should "go someplace else" even though I pre-paid and simply did not want my id compromised. The hotel has a kitchen, with a full stove and refrigerator-but these are for show--there is not a microwave in the room--just a puny coffee maker . The tv's were mini-sized-and only one had a remote While I fell for the cutesy review they had posted on the hotels.com site--I can say only DON"T STAY HERE! Read more
"The Blair Hotel Suite In Las Vegas, NV"
The Blair Hotel Suite in Las Vegas, NV. It was an excellent hotel for the price. However, I asked for a non-smoking room and was given a contract to sign stating that if the room smelled like smoke or had any signs of cigaret smoke I would be charged $200.00. Well, the room when I got in smelled like cigaret smoke, and the sink in the bathroom had burnt […] marks around it. I called and complained to the front desk. The phone had the wrong room number on it, and it would not dial out no matter what I did. The kitchen was nice but would have been nicer if it had just a bit of dishes to use. The coffee pot was nice but no regular coffee for it. The sink in the kitchen leaked around the faucet, you could see calcuim buildup, I don't see how they could have missed it. But the room was nice. Read more
"Close to MonoRail"
The one draw back is that there is a TV broadcast station right behind the hotel and the helicopter hovered over the station for several minutes at a time at least ten times. The good thing is the hotel is walking distance to the MonoRail, so buy the three day pass for about $28.00 and leave your car parked! The room is a one bedroom apartment complete […] with a kitchen. "Basketball Stay"
Blair met all our basic needs. My son and I did not spend a lot of time in room. We were visiting for a basketball tournament. Room was basic and clean. Do not expect a lot of luxury however the price value equation is a great selling point

"terrible service"
they made mistake twice, they couldn't find a room for us and after half an hour of looking, the register lady finally gave me a key, but somebody was still staying in that room when I opened the door....I went back to lobby, it happened to other customers. I don't know how they keep this hotel working like this...and no ice in the hotel...
"blair house suites in vegas"
Will not stay here again. Staff wasn't very professional. Very rude. Rooms weren't very clean. Could only get 2 towels at a time, only after we turned in the other 2 1st. Just wasn't worth it to stay here.
The living room had filty chairs, which they removed when I complained. The kitchen had no cookware, plates or flatware, but there was a stove and a refrigerator. It was not reasonable to expect that a guest should buy those items during a short visit, therefore the kitchen was useless. There was only one waste basket for 3 rooms. They didn't provide […] shuttle service to and from the airport as their ad indicated on hotels.com. My door cards disappeared after the maintenance person's visit, which was replaced. However, the hotel staff were courteous. Read more
"Four on a king size bed"
Upon late arrival - my room was not yet ready, then the AC wasn't working. The two room upgrade - turn out to be a single room w/one king size bed. Since the hotel was over booked - we had no choice but sleep four on one bed.
"Really it wasn't that bad..."
If you are looking for a cheap place to stay for a night this place isn't that bad. I stayed here for one night because the other major hotels were all five times this hotel's price because of a conference was in town. While, it is a little shady there wasn't a time where I didn't feel safe.
"Only if ALL other hotels are filled!"
The only reason I stayed the night - 1 night - was because I was exhausted from flying in from the east coast. The place was disgusting . Where to start? (1) Roach climbing up wall in kitchen area; (2) Filthy wall behind stove; (3) Dirty cushions on couch; (4) Heater did not work; (5) Bad odor overpowered by carpet fresh; (6) Remotes did not work on […] OLD televisions. I would never return to this dump! Read more

"What a difference 7 years makes"
I am extremely embarassed to tell anyone that my wedding reception and wedding party suites were at this hotel. The check-in agent was so rude, I pretty much told him off. The room REEKED of smoke, chemicals, and just plain oldness. The TV in the room was so old it didn't even have a remote. The A/C unit was broken in the room, but the one in the living […] room worked so we just cranked it to the lowest possible temp. I was seriously afraid to sleep under the covers. I can't believe it has only been 7 years since I last stayed there and the quality of the place had gone down that much. Will not recommend to anyone. The best thing about my stay there was the very friendly check-out agent who greeted me as we left. She was friendly, cheery, and almost made the stay there worthwhile. She is the only reason I gave this place two stars instead of one. Read more
"Worst hotel ever!!"
We were made to wait in line for more than an hour, that totally destroyed our travel plan. Although we reserved Non-Smoking room, they put us in the Smoking room and it was TERRIBLY bad smell. The air conditioner is so loud that you cannot sleep. The wall is so thin that you can hear TV sound from next room. DO NOT STAY HERE.
"Outside of hotel a little scary"
This place appears to be a "pay by the hour" hotel. The inside was VERY nice, and quiet. Although requesting non smoking room gave me the now window view. They have pay washing machines and dryers which was convenient. Pool was small but nice. Hotel staff was extremely helpful and friendly.

"Great Room for the Money!!"
Considering that I had never heard nor seen this hotel I was above and beyond impressed on how cute and clean it was for the price I paid. The room had its own bedroom, a sitting room, kitchen, full size fridge, WOW! I will definately come back to the Blair House Suites because it is affordable and close to the happening spots in Vegas but at the same […] time far enough away from them if I just want to relax :) Staff was also very polite, so thats a major plus!! "Great Room for the Money"
Close to the convention center [reasonable walking distance]. Staff was courteous and responsive. Hotel condition is not great [carpets need cleaning/replacing, showers need recaulking, curtains and blinds were shabby]. Appliances were clean - full-sized refrigerator, microwave, stove.
"Met Expectations"
For the price, this room was exactly what I was expecting. If you need a place to go to Vegas on a budget, this place is great. It even has a kitchen so you can bring your own food. The room isn't dirty, but I wouldn't really call it clean either. I would stay here again if I was on a tight budget.
"Good room for the money"
The price was affotable and the service was good.
"Great room for the money"
The location is convenient however at night walking to and from the strip late is kind of scarry. There are no pedestrians and the street lighting is not as bright as you may want to be comfortable walking. The AC was not well set or it may had been defective. I had to wake up and adjust the thermostat everynow and then. They should consider to have […] that fix. The elevator is smelly, no vent. Over all, its great for the money. The staff were very customer oriented people specially the person checked us in she was super. Read more
