Hotel Pueblo Dorado - Tamarindo

Book there if you don't have any other options, it's a budget hotel. The room was small and had just the basic necessities. The only part that was positive was its location. It is located in the touristy area of Tamarindo close to shops and restaurants on the main strip.

Nice little hotel, the rooms are small, and the bathroom doors are angled vents, so they are super not provide. They could do better to change the doors on the bathrooms to the rooms. Otherwise its alright, not a far walk into town, maybe 10 minutes. Its pretty cheap though, so you get what you pay for.

Nice location, with easy access to the beach. However, it seemed a bit overpriced, especially because there is no restaurant or cafe/breakfast at the hotel.

At first I was upset because the hotel wasn't fully booked and I had made a reservation weeks earlier and they still gave us the LAST room at the far end of the hotel. I felt like I was sent to the butt of the hotel. But after sleeping perfectly every night during our stay, enjoying the perfect complimentary breakfast for long days of exploring beaches […] and being treated so well by all the hotel staff we were sure we had made the right choice. The hotel is located SUPER close to the center of the town of tamarindo, which makes it walking distance to a bustling night life, but also far enough to be able to get a good nights sleep. Walking distance to the beach and the staff is really helpful about helping you get around other beaches that are close by. I would definetly come back!! Although I must make the warning, our room had lots of ants, and they were sort of big. They didn't bother us at all but some people might not be as tolerant. Read more

This hotel is decent for the price. Definitely, would not stay there again. Location is ok. it's right at the beginning of tamarindo. Everything is close by so you can walk to the beach which is across the street. Would not go back to Tamarindo beach. There are other better beaches in costa rica.

booked this hotel as xmas week and a lot of other hotels were charging a lot more.The staff were good, had a nice swimming pool.The room was clean if not a little small but had an adjoining door to the next room and could hear a lot.Breakfast area very very small so staff struggled to cope with only a small number of customers at a time.But it was all […] ok and we have stayed in a lot worse than this in central america at a higher price.we also had free high speed internet which was good but were charged for the safe in the hotel room ! Unfriendly service. We staid there for too long and it partly ruined our vacation. All the other hotels that we staid in Costa Rica, were really nice, had excellent service and were half cheaper! But here the service was just so unbelievably rude. Front desk woman speaks english, but I don't think she understands it very well. Before we booked this […] hotel, we slightly laughed at the comments like: "the front desk lady, she did not smile". But after a while it really got innoying: front desk, cleaning ladies and other personal looked unhappy and they had long days at work. Do not go there if want to have a nice vacation. Las habitaciones son muy pequeñas, nó deberían de parmitir más de dos personas , ligeramente cómoda para 1 personas no más, estoy insatisfecha porque reserve una habitación para tres personas la cama matrimonial sólo entraba difícil en la habitación la tercera persona me colocaron una camita pequeña plegables , pensé que para lo que cobraron mínimo […] era una cama normal individual. La atención de los empleados es buena,sin embargo a la hora del desayuno es un poco tensa pues no tienen una buena administración en el momento de servir el desayuno,las señoras se estresan pues no cuentan con lo suficiente para atender a los turistas,Y expresan su descontento. El lugar es precioso, y en general fue lindisismo ir a Tamarindo.
