Hotel Wolne Miasto - Gdansk

Rooms are very specious and clean but have one bed side: windows are not sound proof. This on weekend can bother poor sleepers. Also the bed size wasn't to big. Otherwise everything was perfect. I would recommend the breakfast. I will recommend this place to my friends

I stayed by myself on Friday and Saturday nights in January. The hotel is about a block from the main street so the location was perfect in the snowy weather. My flight was very delayed and the hotel was very responsive to my email checking that the reception would still be open after midnight. I had booked a Mansard room, which is actually in a separate […] building just around the corner and on a floor that doesn't have lift access (which wasn't a problem for me). The only complaints I have are that I was able to hear people in another room, which wasn't particularly pleasant and I would have preferred a double (rather than single) duvet on the double bed. On the whole though, it was a great place to stay, the people were lovely and their English good. I also ate in the restaurant (not the breakfast) and thought the food was good and reasonably priced. We had a lovely time at this hotel the room was small but very cosy and felt like a home from home. The staff were efficient and friendly. My wife had a very enjoyable and reasonable priced massage in the hotel arranged at short notice on a sunday afternoon. I booked a mansard room which had a very spacious bedroom but this space comes at the cost of the bathroom. The bathroom was tucked into the eaves & so could only fit a half height shower (this meant you have to sit in bath when taking a shower) and a demi-bath. If the bathroom space is really important to you, you should book another floor of the hotel. […] For me the extra space in the bedroom made up for the smaller bathroom. It's a very nice, well kept, cheap and supremely located little Hotel. Really couldn't ask for much more. It's a bit small and coasy, but we weren't really looking for something HUGE in the centre of Gdansk, just suites the place to stay in a nice little Hotel like this. This hotel is an absolute gem, it's charming, clean and affordable. The room was large, with lovely high ceilings, and a huge spa bath. The staff were friendly, enthusiastic and more importantly multi-lingual. In addition there was free wifi in the rooms. I will definitely be back.

The hotel is located at the edge of the Old Town and within easy reach for both the riverside restaurants and modern shopping centers. The room was nice and the breakfast buffet OK. The only negative thing was some loud music at night. Don´t kow if it was from the hotel bar or some other place. Gdansk is really a nice city!

Hotel was clean and warm, especially good in bracing New Year temperatures! There were loads of photos of old Gdansk on the walls, and one sent us in search of 'Beer street', which turned out to be just around the corner (look for 'Piwna' on the map) and had lots of places to eat or just get a drink. The next street is Long Market (look for 'Dluga') […] for Neptunes Fountain etc., and it's also close to the market and several impressive churche so, overall, a great location. Breakfast was typically continental buffet style, but served until mid-day which was a great bonus on New Years Day. We've agreed we'd like to go back to Gdansk and explore some more in warmer times and see the cafe's, shops & streets in full swing, and would certainly consider the same hotel again. Read more

Fantastic location. Easier to take a cab with lots of baggage, but literally within walking distance of the rail station. Hotel is two building that are joined, unfortunately, no connection, so it has two receptions - guess which is yours?! Ha! After eventually finding the correct entrance, (just around the corner), we accessed our top floor hotel room. Great […] space, well decorated, and plenty of furniture to store your bits. The main let down was the bath/shower - in the sense that the curtain was insufficient, so we had to do a bit of mopping up. The bath is a fnormal full size tub, but the curtain was non existant. The city centre was literally two minutes walk away from the hotel. Great food, bars/cafes too. Plenty of things to see and do! A must - and cheap too! Read more

Vet ikke hvorfor hotellet har høyere ranking for vi syntes dette var meget bra. Rommet var stort og fint. Renholdet flott. Beliggenheten superb. Betjeningen bra. Reiste tidlig om morgenen og fikk en kjempefin bag med mat til reisen. Stedet kan i høyeste grad anbefales.

Gdansk er verdt et besøk. Var ikke innstilt på luksushotell. Men bekjennskapet med hotellet klarte allikevel riktignok å gi opplevelsen enda et perspektiv. Et vakkert hus, stort behagelig rom og bra frokostbuffet og hyggelig service, knall beliggenhet. Vann og te på rommet. Helt topp for en byferie!

perfect location! the only comment is that there is no kettle can be borrowed hence I needed to get to the hotel restaurant every time to get hot water. Anyway, staff at hotel restaurant showed their helpful attitude assisting us for the hot water.

Hadde nok en gang et veldig bra opphold på Hotellet. Bra beliggenhet i forhold til gammle byen og tog/buss stasjonen. Alltid hyggelig og behjelpelig betjening på hotellet. Har bodd på dette hotellet 7 ganger, og anbefaler dette til alle kjente som skal til Gdansk.

Jeg bodde denne gangen sammen med mine døtre som er meget kresne på valg av hotell, men de skrøt dette opp i skyene. Jeg har bodd der før og kommer absolutt tilbake. Hvis man skal klage på noe må det være at minibar savnes og dusjforheng på rom 329 var altfor lite og dårlig praktisk.

Hotellet ligger nær hovedgaten, og gangavstand til alle severdigetene i sentrum. Vi valgte å kjøpe frokost første morgenen, men den sto ikke i fohold til pris. Meget liten frokostbuffe til ca 60 NOK. For denne summen får man en skikkelig rett ute på resturang. Ellers anbefales dette hotellet på det sterkeste.

Hotellet ligger i hjertet av byen.Noen få skritt til gamlebyen, havnen og shoppingsenter. Vi var på hotellet i 5 netter, og er usedvanlig fornøyd. Hotellet ligger sentralt i gdansk. Personalet er veldig hyggelige og hjelper deg med alt som trengs. Det er også massasje tilbud her, som ikke fremgår av booking. Ett topp hotell!
