Stayed in March (early fall), and the rooms and lounges were very hot and stuffy. Poor ventilation. Not very clean. If possible use the showers and toilets located in the stairwell, they seem to be less busy and therefore slightly cleaner. Lots of street noise with construction and bars below. We were greeted with HEAPS of energy from the staff and immediately felt welcome! We arrived well before check in but they were able to hold our bags in the mean time. Our room was as we expected, pretty tidy, spacious and had a window. Communal kitchen was great, showers were nice but there was only one toilet for the whole floor which may cause issues […] for some people. I like the friendliness of the staff including the service. Unfortunately we did not enjoy our stay due to the air con in the room was very noisy. Every 10mins there was a loud bang. We did not complain about it 'cause we thought the noise was coming from outside. I only realise the noise was coming from the A/C in the room the next morning.

it was well below our expectations, the room was dirty the shared bathroom was discusting, could see into the next room due to a large gap around the airconditioning unit. curtains just covered the window but were so thin let in the light very noisy place to stay in, would never stay here again and would not recomend this place to anyone.

Our room/kitchen/bathroom was not very clean. There was not enough room for the amount of people there was, there was no room in the kitchen/ fridge for our food. Also the kitchen did not have clean utensils and other things that are needed such as a jug. The toilet was not clean either. Shared-dorms looks OK of money value. With the individual rooms it is hard to say you get value for money. My room was really cold and small, not so appealing to stay. It was mostly clean, although hard to reach spaces were not as clean as the rest. Staff really friendly, but not necessarily helpful.

They say you get what you pay for but I've been travelling around New Zealand staying in hostels/backpackers and this was by far the worst. Loud traffic and roadworks noise outside and very thin walls between rooms. The facilities were alright but little things like the soap dispenser not working and there only being one bathroom/shower for a whole […] floor of people. My stay was ok this time, better than previous, but hostel is very basic. Rooms are still too small for all the people allowed in there. バックパックで旅行してるので金額的には満足な感じですが、ちょっと汚い感じでした。 後は時期にもよると思いますが、一日目は静かで良かったのですが、2日目はクリスマスってこともあってかなりうるさかったです。 スタッフが注意しにきてくれたりしたし、スタッフ対応は良かったです。 後は貧乏旅行者にはフリーディナーが魅力的でした。
