The only thing this hotel has goign for it is the location. It's conveniently located but the beds are as hard as a box spring and the rooms are very uncomfortable. If you're looking for a good hotel in Venice, unfortunately this is not it. Look elsewhere...consider yourself warned.

This hotel was a dream in Venice. I was located close to the main square, but farther away from the crowds. The view of the bridge was breath taking. And I felt as If I had gone back in time staying in the fabric covered and canopied bed room. The staff was super and friendly. I would most definately recommend this hotel.

This hotel is very close... about 3 minutes walk to St. Mark's Square and 15 minutes to Rialto bridge. There are plenty of lively shops and cafes around. However, the service is not what I consider good. I got a room that, while quite large and lovely, was very warm. The air conditioning was working well. I reported the issue 3 times and was told there […] was nothing they could do as my room is too large with high ceilings to properly cool. That is bogus as my friend's room has just as high a ceiling and it was so cool in there. What's more, the bathtub would not drain. Everyday, the three of us has to take a shower with water up to our ankles because the tub is clogged and drained very slowly. All and all, it's a nice hotel but stay away from room 151. It happens to sit above a cafe and it can get noisy too. Read more

My wife and I ultimately did not stay in this hotel. We were not happy with the rooms offered to us. The staff, which was excellent, moved us into a room at The Donna Palace Hotel, a sister chain. I would recommend the Donna Palace Hotel.

Our first destination in Italy was Venice. The hotel was very easy to find, right around the corner of St. Marco. Staff was very helpful, recommend us great restaurants. The staff was very helpful in arranging tickets and water taxi transportation to the theater and Murano. The rooms were small, but nice and clean. We were in Venice for a Romantic Vacation and were looking forward to staying at the hotel. On getting to Piazza san marco, we were not able to find the hotel as no one knew where Calle San Marco was ( could be due to our late arrival). Located near St. Mark's Square and reasonably close to Alilaguna (airport) and Vaporetti stops. Personnel pleasant and very helpful. Large clean room, beautifully appointed. Large clean bathroom with wonderful shower water pressure. Very adequately air conditioning. Hotel internally very quiet, but street noise really can't be helped. Only complaints […] for us involved the beds. Main bed was unbelievably hard. My thin wife actually had bruises on her hips after three nights. Making a "pillow top" by placing an extra blanket under the sheet helped slightly, but my back might never be the same. The extra bed (also harder than a brick) cannot be used for anyone over age 6 because it is unusually short. Our 13-year-old's feet extended nearly a foot off the end of her bed. They provided a discount coupon for nearby all' angelo Ristorante, which had excellent food and service. Read more

My wife and I spent one night at this location that is very close to St. Mark's Square. Ton's of shopping and eating in the surrounding areas and this slightly off beaten hotel location is a great stopping place. The staff was friendly; not overly so, but understandable considering the amount of tourism in the area. One thing to remember, this is Europe […] and coming from the US we're use to large rooms, air conditioning, or screened windows. The suite was nice and roomy for my wife and I, the bathroom was also spacious. The downsides, if any were that the Air Con wasn't on in early May; and leaving the windows open only let in the evening mosquitoes. Venice doesn't shut down till late; but the hotel is built solid enough to muffle out the sounds from the surrounding streets. The bed was an European spring mattress (not the most comfortable), still I got a solid night sleep. I never trust bed linens, but everything looked clean, just old... in a charming way. We'd stay here again, but if I was staying longer than a couple of nights I may look for other accommodations for additional comforts. Hard to beat this location for 1 or 2 nights though. Read more

The Hotel was nice, smaller than we expected and the employees very helpful. The building was old as everything is in Venice so we didnt get dissapointed with that. The breakfast was average. The location was good and the only problem we faced was that we had to carry our luggage from the vaporetto to the hotel among the crowded streets.

The hotel is on a side street just off St Marcs Square next to the canal that runs along to 'The bridge of Sigh'. Some rooms even have a view of the bridge. The lobby is small but in our opinion this only adds to the feel of the place. The staff were very attentive and were on hand to answer any questions we had. This hotel is a little unusual in that it does not have a bar, lounge or dining room. However, the rooms are excellent and beautifully kept. I paid extra for a canal view and had a lovely room with an excellent bathroom. The view was over the canal which the Bridge of Sighes crosses and which you have a view of. Breakfast is served in the Hotel Donna […] Palace, a sister hotel, which is only two minutes (if that) walk away. There you can have a continental breakfast as well as bacon and scrambled eggs. You are likely to be attended by Rhaffael and Angela who could not be more helpful or accommodating. The staff at the Al Ponte dei Sospiri are similarly extremely helpful. One morning the boiler had to be repaired so there was no hot water for a few hours, but that evening there was a complimentary bottle of prosecco in my room! Ferry taxi dropped us off at the door of hotel which was really convenient but not cheap. Reception area small but staff friendly and helpful. Room on 3rd floor so went up in the tiniest lift ever, we had to stand one behind the other. Corridors looked tatty and in need of some work. However the room was big, clean and decor traditional with huge chandeliers. […] Prosecco and fruit tart waiting for us and everyday something was left such as biscuits which was a really nice touch. Breakfast could be ordered to have in the room or you could go to the nearby Dolce Palace hotel for a buffet breakfast. We did the latter most days as only a couple of minutes away. Great location, but obviously being so near the main square it is noisy outside all day and into the evening...only the sounds of Venice though which is great. We paid for a room upgrade for our honeymoon to get a 4-poster room with a canal view but though the room was very grand looking it had a […] small bathroom and there were a few things that needed looking at in the room. Main plus-location, main minus-no facilities in hotel at ALL...so, if you like your breakfast in your room everyday (not great standard of food either) that's fine, but if you like going to a breakfast room within your hotel, this has none. サンマルコ広場のすぐ裏にあり、観光にとても便利なホテルです。通りに面した方の部屋でしたが、バルコニーから運河の一部を見ることができました。ベニスのホテルは高くてもお湯があまりでない、部屋が狭い等の噂をきいていましたが、その通りでした。お湯がでないのはホテルのせいではなくベニスのインフラのせいでしょうか。快適な部屋ではありましたが、エクストラベットが安っぽく、もう少しいいベッドを用意してほしいと思いました。朝食はエクストラチャージなく部屋でとるか、ドナパレスホテルのレストランを選べます。が、朝食の内容はあまり期待しないほうがいいです。
