"Its all about location"
Great location and price so we were not disappointed. The hotel and room itself did not have any bells and whistles but the location in relation to the ski lift and other amenities was great. The trick is the common check-in so don't go straight to this hotel, but stop at the common check in as you enter Panorama and head for the hotel area.Genuine Expedia guest review
"We will be back!"
The experience was great! The staff were very nice and the village is very entertaining! I would love to have had a micro wave and small fridge in the room. There were few features besides the coffee maker.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Just what we needed"
Friendly staff, and a good price. This isn't high end, but it isn't priced as high end, either. Our stay was very comfortable and pleasant. There's no A/C, but despite the heat (~35 degrees), it was reasonable in the room. We had a good night's sleep and great access to the hill.Genuine Expedia guest review
The price was the cheapest for accomodation but i found that it still is not very reasonable. I think i would rather pay the extra 40 dollars next time. Without the airconditioning or even a fan , it can get really hot in the room. At 3 am, it is very loud outside the room. It nat be inevitable to get respectful guests but it went on for quite awhile. […] Otherwise staff were great welcoming and answering questions when called. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Clean and convenient."
Walking distance to everything we wanted to do. Service people were very nice. Room was clean but the beds were a bit hard. It would have been nice to know there was a boil water advisory before we left home. We could have brought our own water and saved some money.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Pretty good bang for the buck"
The hotel was conveniently located near to the only bar in town, this is great if you fancy food or a beer with family or friends. I guess it could be a little noisey if you were directly above the bar, though, we weren't so I have no complaints. The views were pleasant and we were located near to both the gondola which takes you to the lower part of […] the village (Open until 10pm) and the gondola which takes you to the top of the mountain, perfect for sight seeing or mountain biking (12 bucks a day pass - I think!) The resort is near to the best of the swimming pools and hot tubs which is ideal for kids (no alcohol allowed) and for a lazy day. There were 2 hot tubs, 2 pools (both ideal for kids) and 2 water slides and the views from there were stunning. Our room was no air conditioned, but none of the condo's were either where our family stayed, we requested a fan and a large high power fan arrived at our room within minutes. You need to pay for the internet access which is a little annoying, we paid $20 for 3 days because we needed it and the wireless works on 3 devices which was pretty cool and covers most of panorama village. The room is basic but had a large TV and the decor was good, it was all clean and the comfy. Personally I wouldn't think twice for the price about staying there - it was ideal for our needs but involved eating out daily (obviously!). Golf isn't too far away if you have a car and staying here you are local to the evening nightlife. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"would have loved air conditioning"
Hotel was a little older and needed some repairs. Probable my own fault but did not realise the hotel would not have air conditioning. 30 something degrees outside and 100 in the room, we were there during a boil water advisory and bottled water was provided in the room. however when we went to purchase a cold drink from the vending machine in the lobby […] it was warm!! "Disappointing stay :("
Great location, great scenery...unfortunately we requested a move 2X as the first room had a clogged tub, the 2nd room we had to deal with noisy guests above us. And due to circumstances beyond our control the management could not settle the guests down and only offered to move us after the 6th call to the front desk....at 2 am. So I would say if everything […] goes well it's a good place to stay, if anything goes wrong or of you have complaints, I wouldn't expect a lot in return for your troubles. "Need to know where to check in"
The panorama village is beautiful, but when you arrive at night and have to drive up this twisting road it can be unnerving. Plus you NEED TO KNOW that the check in building is at the beginning of the village!!! If you plug the address from hotels.com into a gps you arrive and drive around and around trying to find the front of this hotel to check in! […] Then you call the hotel number and are told " well you need to check in before you go to your room" ... No really? So hotels.com for ALL the hotels, inns, cabins, etc in panorama You have to CHECK IN in a SEPARATE BUILDING!!! And the 'check in sign' is SMALL!!!! Other than that, the building was very nice, and the pub was great. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

It was a good experience . Rooms very clean.Hotel location good because we chose the location. lovely surroundings. This is not a negative comment but wondering if the rooms could have small fridges. We were not able to contact the hotel to let them know we would not be able to attend one of the nights we were booked for as the email confirmation had the wrong phone #s and even hotel.com couldn't get through. From the ratings we saw on the website, we weren't expecting much from the hotel and so we weren't disappointed. Would have been good to know […] where the check-in was. You pay for the view but not the hotel...BUt the view is worth it.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Overall the surrounding resort was very beautiful, unfortunately the Pine Inn is in dire need of an upgrade! It was overall quite a revolting room, the sheets were clean but the pillows smelled of body odor and vomit, the bedspreads were gross and the blankets in the closet were placed there without being washed, yuck and yuck! I booked in June for […] a wedding in September and was told there were no other options than the Pine Inn? After finding out that others had booked much later and got rooms in newer buildings I wonder if we were placed there because they knew we would come regardless as we wouldn't miss a wedding? Also the bride was told that this hotel had received a facelift recently or would have before the beginning of Sept. If you are going to Panorama stay away from the Pine Inn! I don't blame the hotel but some idiot pulled the fire alarm at 1:30 in the morning, its cold in the mountains at night waiting outside for permission to return to your room. My family and I enjoyed the stay at the pine inn. It was affordable and very convenient to all the amenities of panorama. The only negative thing we encountered was the tile in the washroom needed to be scrubbed clean. It was kind of gross.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
It was a long ways from home for just one night, but we were happy with our choice just the same. "Clean sheets- lots of amenitites"
My bottom line for a hotel is clean sheets... the room was shabby but functional. The resort, however, was spectacular. There was a water park with slides and hot pools. The quad chair would take you up the mountain to hike (included in rate) there was a small amusement area for kids with a bouncy castle and bungee trampoline. Restaurants were excellent […] and it was the best breakfast sandwich i have had anywhere. They were very family friendly and fulfilled all of our requirements. I would go again. an excellent location for those seeking outdoor activities, summer or winter. A few steps from restaurants, the pool, the chair lift and a family friendly bar. The room was clean although a bed sheet was stained - the hotel staff were quick to change it. "no air and at the time couldn't drink the water"
We really enjoyed our time at Panorama. the only BIG draw back was we couldn't drink the water once we used up the little bit of boiled water they gave us we had to buy water to brush our teeth and so on which was really not good, we paid for a room ,thought that meant utilities came with the cost of the room!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Bad times in Panorama"
07/17/14 Cam S
We travelled to Panorama July 9th - 12th. The resort is in a beautiful location. It's about a 20 minute drive from Invermere and 4 hour drive from Calgary. We booked a one bedroom condo thru Expedia. The resort is under a BOIL WATER advisory - which the Resort did not communicate on the Panorama website or our confirmation prior to booking. The resort gave us a complimentary 4 litre bottle of water, which lasted 8 hours. The resort refused to give any more water and made us pay for additional clean drinking water. The resort placed us in a 1 bedroom suite in the Skitip building. Skitip is in a great location its on top of the hill, close to the tram and swimming pool. However, the building is in rough shape - it's worn-out. The room was incredibly small, old and dated. The building and it's rooms needs to be updated. Additionally, they have a rodent problem - a mouse scurried across our unit's floor. Due to this, the resort placed us in the Panorama Springs building which was a little bit nicer than Skitip - but not much. Overall, my kids (5 and 2 yrs) had a great time. The pool was a knock-out hit. But seriously, that's the only good thing about Panorama resort. It looks like a lot of fun during the winter but I think there are better alternatives in the Windermere Valley during the summer.
"Price is right, but it is in dire need of a facelift! Very dated!"

Panorama Mountain Village We choose Panorama as our hub of choice this year for our annual golf getaway. We found the accommodations dated but suitable for our needs. We stayed in the Tamarack lodge as it was close to the hot tubs and pools however the Springs lodge will give you direct access. The amenities of the upper village were satisfactory with a café and lounge within easy reach. The upper village also gives you direct access to the main chair lift if you are into mountain biking. There is also a well stocked general store in the lower village area that will save you a drive into Windermere if you run short. The only major disappointments we found were: 1. Units do not have air conditioning. 2. You are not allowed to use the BBQ located on the deck of your Condo. 3. A bit of a mix up upon arrival, check in is 5 pm so you may end up waiting if you get there early. 4. Room was not as promised – I thought I had booked a townhome however ended up with a standard condo – so double check your reservation and check your confirmation prior to payment – oh and that is the other thing – you have to pay in full two weeks prior to arrival so no chance to cancel if something comes up in the mean time. 5. And the biggest disappointment was that the feature “Hot” pool was closed due to mechanical problems and it did not seem as if anyone was in too much of a rush to get it fixed – it was down for the full week we were there. Overall it was a relaxing week and we enjoyed golfing their local course – the Grey Wolf. Would we come back?... most likely yes.
"No Air Conditioning "

I know that you do not want to spend most of your time in the room but this is our first night and the room is unbearably hot. No windows open or anything when we came in. I nearly cried when I found a fan in the closet. We are planning on saving money by cooking most of our meals on the room. .. well that might not happen as it's way too hot in here. Hopefully tomorrow is better.
"Beautiful, but there are a couple "catches""
07/03/14 vacationtime_7 Sacramento
Very nice facilities, but layout of the buildings make it hard for the elderly and people with disabilities to move between buildings and even go to/from the condo to the parking areas. Another matter was that when we arrived we found out that the resort was under a "boil water" order. This seems to be an annual occurrence so I highly recommend checking with the resort before making a reservation. There were 6 of us so we had to buy lots and lots of bottled water. With that said, the modern and nicely furnished condo and the beautiful views were fantastic! Many hiking opportunities right next to the resort, a serene environment and lots and lots of deer simply walking around make a stay at Panorama a wonderful experience. We also got to enjoy, at no additional cost, a beautiful heated outdoors pool very cool mini-golf course. Also, Panorama is a short drive away from Radium Hot Springs!!!
"Panorama is a great place summer or winter"
06/30/14 DHSS Calgary, Alberta
Recently spent Canada Day weekend in Panorama Mountain Village. Panorama is a small mountain village about 18 KM's west of Invermere BC. The village sits at the base of a ski slope and in winter people ski here and in summer time they take their mountain bikes up the T-bar and bike down the slopes. There are not any hotels per se but instead this is a village made up almost entirely of private property and vacation rental condominiums. The village has a small store and several restaurants and lounges and is separated between a lower village and upper village. The upper village condos' are a little newer and nicer but as you might expect they cost more. The condo's themselves tend to be very well setup; complete with everything you might need. Our stay was great; the condo was a 1 bedroom but it had a pull out bed that slept two more. Except for food and drinks we didn't have to bring anything, the condo had it all, towels, cutlery, cleaning supplies etc. Made it all very convenient. After your stay; there is a housekeeping service that cleans up for the next guest. The village is quite small and you can easily walk the entire thing (there is a free gondola service between the upper/lower villages if you don't want to walk it). Greywolf golf course is within 15 mins walking distance and is really beautiful. We quite enjoyed our time at Panorama and would definitely go back. The price to stay is very reasonable and all the vacation rental properties are clean and well managed.
"I love this place."

We are not "ski-ers" but our time at Panorama was wonderful. We stayed at the end of season 2014 and a few days after. Certainly the choice of restaurants reduced after season closed, but the peaceful feel without all the people was definitely worth it. The staff were , as we had found previously, super helpful and so friendly. Definitely a place to stop, relax, enjoy the hot tub, go for a leisurely walk along the road and enjoy the amazing mountain views!
"First BC ski trip"

On our first trip to BC we were very pleased with Panorama. The accommodations were excellent and truly ski-in ski-out. They lift system and all the staff we encountered were great. Especially a service called Mountain Friends where you could ski for free with very friendly mountain guides every day. Plenty of challenging terrain for experts but nice groomers for others. I would recommend it to any level skier.

We visited the 1st weekend of April. Their website was difficult to navigate during the booking process. I emailed with the staff several times before arrival and they were helpful and pleasant. Check in process was fine, staff was friendly. They neglected to tell us of the lack of parking in our building 1000 Peaks. We drove to the unit and no parking available. Apparently the parking lot had burned down some time ago. We drove back down to check in to ask where to park. Told us an outside lot which was maybe a half km from the unit. Went back to the building carried our skis to the locker, dropped off our things. Discovered the unit was filthy-garbage under sick, dirty bathtub, musty smell and whole unit covered in thick dust-unit 411B. Called check in. They agreed to send someone up to look at the unit. Waited a half hour. They agreed unit was dirty. Waited another half hour or so for the supervisor to call us. Agreed to move us to another building and give us a breakfast voucher. Waited another half hour for someone else to come up and show us to another room. By this time is was 10:30pm. We got Tanyton lodge room 120. Much smaller than other room, drain in bathroom didn't work, thermostat didn't work but it was fairly clean. 2 options for breakfast, neither sit down restaurants. I had the granola which consisted of plain oats, honey, some jam type substance, couple pieces of pre packaged fruit. Quite terrible. My husband's breakfast was better. I had to rent ski boots. 2 people working - this process took 45 minutes! Cost was $48 for high performance boots- close to double the cost of other places. Lift lines were short. A lot of the runs had rocks and dirt being near the end of the season. I'd classify panorama as more suited to advanced or expert skiers. I'd also classify it as more of a party place than for families. Lunch at T Bar and dinner at Wildfire were okay. Good service at T Bar. Not fabulous food but not bad and not too overpriced. Most of the hot pool area was closed, night skiing closed, tobogganing and tubing and snowshoeing all closed. Any discount for these closures? No. I general the resort seemed poorly managed and maintained. We may try skiing there again but would never stay there.

Stayed in a condo at springs lodge. Great. Took our own food and meals that we could just heat up. Ski in and ski out is great. Very helpful staff and excellent instructors. If you can take yr own food it would help as the store is limited. My friend was a far better skier than me and she took advantage of skiing with the mountain friends who showed her the runs - excellent idea. Will return next year

You have no reason to leave this ski-in, ski-out village. Great accommodations, great mountain, and great staff. Ask as many questions as you want, they have all the answers. Only recommendation I have is bring food if you have a kitchenette the store (understandable) a bit limited!
