As a general rule we do not return to the same island or resort. However, Jade Mountain and St. Lucia/Soufriere are a destination that begs a return visit. People are wonderful, resort remarkable and the food, ooh la la. The only downside is that it is a bit of a haul to get there from the Vieux Fort airport but what lay at the end of the transport […] is lovely. If you can, chose to take the helicopter transport for a great view of the island a you land at the resort! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Jade Mountain is a magical place. The staff is very friendly and accommodating, to the point where you don't have to worry about a thing. If you are looking for a romantic place to escape and relax, this place is for you! You are surrounded by the lush rain forest and gorgeous Piton mountains. The beach is a bit of a walk, but not to worry, if you don't […] feel like walking they offer shuttle service on demand. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Jade Mountain Resort is located in a beautiful part of St. Lucia with an amazing view of the Piton mountains. We enjoyed the stay, but there were several disappointing issues: 1) The internet was slow and unreliable. 2) The tennis court was always wet, they would need to change the surface. 3) They fruit they offered was not local and did not taste […] good. This is particularly annoying in an island full of delicious fruit trees. 4) The area below the bed was very dirty. 5) The resort offers some rooms with pools, but if you do not have one, there are no pools outside. 6) The room are in the open, and it can get really hot during the day. Be prepared to sweat. 7) The food and very item you may need are very expensive, there are no low cost options. Overall and for the reasons mentioned above, the hotel is overpriced. "Beautiful Hotel on the Mountain"
We got a free upgrade to the Galaxy sanctuary, the best room in the hotel - no the best room in the world. The service here is exceptional, we didn't have to lift a finger. The staff were awesome. They are very friendly, professional, helpful and knowledgeable.Genuine Expedia guest review
From the start this is a special experience. You are greeted by resort staff from the moment you arrive. Every detail of your stay is carefully orchestrated. If you're a "free spirit" you may find the attention to detail a bit intrusive but you will grow to appreciate it. The music and fun is located down the mountain at Anse Chastenate. Look for server […] Fillicia to make it a special event. She was great and really made us feel welcomed. The service is extraordinary. My wife requested Kahlua on the Sunset Cruise. They had none on the boat but had some sent out by ferry to satisfy her request. It was her 60th. birthday and they were more than willing to accommodate her. Now that's great service! Dinner at Jade Mountain was good but not great. Too much pretense and not enough quality for the price. Other than that the food was very good and presentation was extraordinary. The rooms are a knockout. For any special occasions it will be well worth it. We kept pinching ourselves to make sure we were not dreaming! We were upgraded from Sky to Moon when we checked in. On the last night we were upgraded to Galaxy room JD1 at no extra charge. Please, give me a break. What a room. Just magnificent. For a special trip, Jade Mountain can not be beat. "most amazing Romantic spot in the word"
I surprised my wife with a weekend getaway, little did I know how blown away the 2 of us were going to be. From the minute you get there you are pampered from the cold peppermint towels to your own personal butler ( mervin and teddy thanks so much) that takes you and your luggage directly to the room, no waiting to check in you go directly to your room. […] The no worry no problem attitude was soo refreshing from our everyday that it took about 5 minutes to get used to. The BENTLEY was so amazing after a long plane ride and almost an hour ride it couldn't have gotten any better. The room ..........not sure how to describe the feeling all I'm going to say is pictures can not capture the beauty. Just go. You need to experience it yourself. My love for jade mountain started on may 17 2013 when I arrived. Thank you to the unbelievable staff and creators of this astonishing master piece.. Me and my wife will renew our vows there in 2015 with our family. Can't wait.love this place Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

Not only did this hotel have great service (thank you domo Teddy) but it had the most fantastic views of the Pitons! Even when it rained you couldnt be disappointed about your day.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Get the room with the infinity pool inside it - it is amazing. When I booked on Hotels.com it wasn't clear that the hotel I booked did not have an infinity pool. We later upgraded after we arrived. The views are great, the temperature was warm. The jazzy boat tour was great fun and so was the volcano mud bath. Teddy was an amazing butler. Excellent […] service, food, and the room (with the infinity pool) was great fun. Note: There is no tech in the room - no TV, no iPhone docking station, etc. So if you want music, bring your own playing device. We will likely visit this hotel again. "The most romantic hotel on earth"
This is a place to put on your bucket list. Book a sanctuary with an infinite pool, get the all inclusive package and arrive by the helicopter. You will not regret it. The open air rooms with the amazing view is not to be believed. The four poster king bed with the mosquito netting is so romantic. The only bad thing is having to leave. There is no elevator, […] lots of steps to the beach and no tv.....but that all made it BETTER. My husband and I went for our 25 th anniversary and it was the trip of a lifetime. It was simply breath taking. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
This resort is a perfect romantic getaway. It sits on a hilltop with a perfect view of the ocean and the Pitons (twin mountains). I would recommend getting a star or moon suite to really experience the fullness of the resort. The major domos are amazing and make you feel very comfortable. The food on the resort will stand among some of the best cuisines […] I've ever had. Most of the sought after activities in St. Lucia are nearby the area. The only downside is getting to the resort can be quite a hike. Very bumpy and scary roads, but all the drivers are great. Make sure you bring plenty of bug spray and cover any exposed skin if you want to head to the beach. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"This is upscale camping, great food, ambiance..."
The hotel staff here is amazing, there is nothing they won't do for you. My only complaints are you need to walk 151 steps to the restaurant on top of Jade Mountain, so if you have any restrictions and cannot do this it's a challenge, no elevator. They may drive you if you cannot walk it, but I don't know this. The hotel does not have airconditioning […] the rooms are very nice, but at night it's very noisy due to the crickets, birds, howling dog on the bottom at the beach. I wore ear plugs and a mask so that the light would not wake me up. The comfort of the room is okay at night, but during the day was humid and hot. I am sure the summer is extremly warm 95 degrees and humid. I loved it as an experience, but if you like activity and pool this is not the place for you. Like I said it was very nice, but I think I would do Sandals were it's not so quiet and hot. I would recommond it, if you like camping and don't miind spending alot of money for great meals, romance, quiet and being hot. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

Our vacation to Jade Mountain was wonderful. Everyone was extremely helpful and nice. The rooms were very spacious and nicely decorated. We worried about not having any air-conditioning, but it wasn't an issue at all. With the constant breeze, we stayed comfortable. The major domos were very personable and saw to all our needs. Vito and Teddi were our […] major domos and they were great. The beach was very relaxing and once again there was always someone there with a smile to help you. The food was delicious. We tried something different each night and were never disappointed. Staff throughout the resort were always courteous and friendly. Without a doubt one of the most stunning hotels I have ever stayed at, the view is breath-taking, you will miss the Pitons when you leave. Waking up to the view is like nothing else. The architecture is so unique, at nighttime it feels like you are on another planet. We had alot of massages and they were all amazing, we also did the massage class which we enjoyed too. We did one walk-in scuba dive which was great, the reef just at the bottom of the mountain had a lot of fish and coral and it was nice not to have to get on a boat to travel to a dive-site. We splurged on the Helicopter transfer to and from the hotel and I would do that again, it was worth every penny - seeing the island and rainforest from the sky - WOW. Our butler was always keen to book dinner reservations for us but we preferred to dine in our amazing room with the sounds of nature and water, what could be better? the only super sad part of the stay was that the water in the hotel room balcony pool was much too cold to swim in, if it was heated then this could be the best hotel in the universe.

Worth every penny, trip of a lifetime. Take lots of pictures as you will want to reminisce about this trip forever. Beautiful view of the Pitons, amazing food, gorgeous beach, spa on the premises. A lot of exciting activities. THe rooms are unreal, the staff create a romantic atmosphere every night by lighting candles around the room.

The resort was absolutely beautiful. The staff could not have been more accommodating. They seemed genuine in their interest to provide us with the most fantastic vacation. I have traveled all over the Caribbean and stayed in some very luxurious resorts. However, Jade Mountain just topped my list. The all-inclusive package is the only way to go. The food and drinks were unbelievable and by having all-inclusive, prices for individual items were not an issue. The half-day sailing excursion was a must. The volcano tour was interesting and we made some beautiful pictures at the botanical garden/mineral springs. But I would not have paid for it otherwise. If you take this excursion, take money because they do have local souvenir stands throughout this trip. The massage was spectacular, as was the snorkeling excursion. My husband loved scuba diving (I did not try it). We stayed in a Sun Room and the pool blew my mind! The view was breathtaking. Although it did get a little hot at times, there were adequate fans throughout. My only word of warning is be prepared to walk. There are no elevators, just stairs. But the journey up or down is beautiful. I can not wait to return to Jade Mountain!

Everything everyone says is true - it's fabulous. So I'll stick to details and helpful tips. Jade Mountain specializes in romantic getaways and full service stays. Our butlers - Filina, Al, and Mervin - were great. Nothing was too much trouble, and every request was fulfilled in a friendly, relaxed, and totally professional way. Our room, a Star level room (JB2), was superb. The views of course were stunning, but the comfort and the décor of the room were also great. We chose the Romance package (strongly recommended!) and so enjoyed tours and activities, all meals, massages, a range of restaurants, and best of all, Pina Coladas and fresh fruit platters delivered on request at 4:00 each afternoon. Some of the fruit we fed to the beautiful little birds that come to the terrace and dance around the pool. Not everyone loves the little birdies, but they were a highlight of our visit! Some tips: On arrival at Vieux Fort airport, a porter will take you to the Jade Mountain desk, where your driver will meet you. Tipping is expected and each person who helped us thoroughly deserved a tip. Bring lots of cash; you can't get $US there easily. We ran short, and so couldn't tip our fabulous butlers as much as we would have liked. I think US$100 per butler (delivered on the last day of our 5 night stay) is a good figure. We gave our guides, boat skippers, masseuses, and drivers about US$20 each per service. The drive from the airport to the resort is a bit long and the road is pretty curvy. We were fine, but if you're prone to car sickness, take a pill beforehand. There is a lot to see between Vieux Fort and Soufriere (including some poverty), but the drive is worth it and our drivers were happy to talk to us about St Lucian history, culture, and politics. And it's good to remember that these neighborhoods are where your servers, guides, and butlers live, so we visitors do have a connection to everyday St Lucian life. Soufriere is gorgeous in a gentle, Caribbean way. Ask your driver to stop briefly on the way in (or back) so you can take some photos of the old colonial architecture and local life. At Jade Mountain: Here's our surefire restaurant guide. Breakfast - the Tree House (at Anse Chastanet - walking distance back down the hill) for the breakfast buffet (everything you could possibly want) Lunch - the beach (either in the bar or delivered to your beach hut) Dinner - the Jade Mountain Club (the food and service are AMAZING!) We tried the Jade Mountain Club for our first breakfast and first lunch, but were much happier with the alternatives for the rest of the trip. Dress up a bit for dinner at the JM Club. Breezy maxi dresses, fabulous jewelry, and heels for women; long cotton shorts, linen button downs, and leather loafers for men. Go up to the roof bar for a drink before dinner, and watch the sunset over the ocean. Activities: If you do the volcano tour, take a bandana with you. I'm pretty tough, but the sulfur smell was even too strong and overwhelming for me. The botanical gardens after the volcano are BEAUTIFUL. Absolutely have a massage! Absolutely do the snorkeling trip! I opted to stay on our terrace, but my husband brought back great photos and just loved it, so I regretted not going with him. Generally ... Allow some time for things to happen. The service at every aspect of the resort is superb, but it's not as lighting fast as we're used to in the US. Relax. You're going to miss this place when you leave, so soak up every gorgeous minute.
"The Most Romantic and Peaceful Place!"
06/28/14 Kim S Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
My husband took me here as a surprise for our 20th wedding anniversary. We stayed in a Sun Room. Our room had the most stunning views of the Pitons with one of the largest plunge pools, which was worth the extra money. We had the all-inclusive Romance Package, which included 3 meals + high tea, and a fully stocked fridge, as well as couples massage, guided snorkeling, sailing, scuba lesson, and tours of the volcano and mineral springs. A typical day for me included waking up to the sound of birds and looking at the Pitons from my beautiful bed, a full delicious breakfast brought to our room or mango mimosas and nutella french toast at the restaurant, a walk down the mountain to the beach, relax under a shaded cabana while nice people brought me towels, fresh juice and water, and fabulous burger for lunch at the other beach, an afternoon excursion sailing or snorkeling, walk back up the mountain for cocoa tea and "cheesecake of the day" in my room, plunge in the pool, shower, relax in my peaceful room, eat a fabulous meal again, then go to bed to the sound of crickets and tree frogs. This is a place for romance and rejuvenation, not for families and constant sightseeing. I am usually a very active and busy person, but for one week, it was nice to relax and be pampered. The pace is slow and simple and never crowded. The highlights for me were the sailing trip with Captain Kerwin and two adorable newlywed couples, guided snorkeling where I saw a school of squid and a puffer fish, a walking tour of the Anse Mamin Plantation with our guide Meno, and drinking Mangotinis in the Jade Mountain Club. On the day of our Anniversary, we returned from dinner to flower petals, a bottle of chilled wine, a hot tub filled with bath salts, candles everywhere, and chocolate cake in our bed! Our favorite places to eat were Apsara on the beach during sunset for dinner, where the food is more spicy with local flavor, and the Burger Bar (don't remember the name) at the Anse Mamin Beach for lunch. I loved everything about this place! However, you need to be in pretty good shape to stay here as there are no elevators and lots of stairs to get down to the beach. You can call your Butler for a shuttle at anytime to drive you up and down the mountain as Jade has its own set of drivers. Expect that you will be sitting down to eat for at least an hour as the food is cooked to order and served on Caribbean time (not NY). The plunge pool is not heated, but feels really good after a day at the beach or walking up the mountain. The wifi is slow and spotty, but who cares, you're on vacation, but if you MUST upload those pics and check your email in a hurry then you can go to the Registration desk where the wifi is better.
"Second Time...Still Amazing!"

My wife and I visited Jade Mountain in June of 2013 for our 10-year anniversary (see my prior review.) We loved it so much that we ended up returning in June of 2014 for our 11-year anniversary. I won't repeat everything that is included in my first review of the property, but I will just say that we are in love with this resort and its wonderful staff. It was great to see so many of the same faces one year later, especially Bentley our favorite waiter at the Jade Mountain Club. He once again made all of our meals there extra special. Ask for him when you eat there, he is awesome. Dwight and Jerome are great as well. All of the Major Domos (Okeda, Teclus, Teddy) were a pleasure to be around. The highlight of the trip of course, and what separates Jade Mountain from most other resorts, is the room itself. Waking up to that view of the Pitons never gets old. The beach is great, but you could choose to stay in your room all day and be perfectly happy. If we could afford it, we would keep coming back. We would love to return for a third trip someday. This time around we ventured off the resort for a day. We attended a wonderful lively church service at "Christ Is The Answer Church," a yellow church in Soufriere, and had lunch at Ladera followed by some time at Sugar Beach. The rest of the time we stayed at JM, spending most of our time either in our room, at the beach, or at the JM Club for meals. I know some have complained about the rough road in/out but seriously, it's not that bad. This is a beautiful property and the perfect spot for a honeymoon or anniversary.
"A Weekend in Paradise!"
A quality spot of whisking was in order for my fiancées 30th birthday. We flew over for a weekend from the UK staying in a Galaxy Suite for two nights... You might think that's a long way to go for a weekend but it made it all the more special... The room was perfect; stunning views of the Pitons, three sides open to the ocean, and a huge infinity pool... You could easily just stay in your room...!! The food was great, especially breakfast where we had something of everything!! We also went down to the private beach where service was attentive but unobtrusive... You simply put a flag out by your lounger and someone will be there right away... No flag and they'll leave you alone... Maximum Chill... With a spot of sea kayaking thrown in for good measure... Pricy but worth it for those extra special occasions... This was the best weekend of my life...!!

We spent the last 5 nights of our honeymoon here at Jade Mountain in one of their Star Sanctuaries. I have never done anything quite so extravagant before, but I figured that this was our honeymoon so might as well start our marriage off with a bang. This place definitely blew us away with its beauty. The staff here were awesome, the views spectacular, and the food was truly delicious. The beaches here were amazing. Never been to a black sand beach before, so this was a pleasant surprise. The service on the beach was AWESOME! Never so easy to get food or a drink without running all over the place. The water was so clear and warm and wonderful. We went snorkeling there a couple times at the Anse Chastnet beach and again at the Anse Mamim beach. Beautiful water. The food at all the restaurants were great but the Jade Club at the top of Jade Mountain was the best. The food was always so fresh and flavorful. I can't say enough good things about the staff there. They were all so great! I highly recommend this place. Once you arrive you'll realize that every other place you stay will be a disappointment when compared to Jade Mountain.

We went in April of 2013. It was for our 20th wedding anniversary. It was the luxury honeymoon that we never had. (Broke college students drove to the mountains for a few nights 20 years ago!) I am cheap! I am really into the value of things. we tend to stay in older condos that are cheaper when we travel... I was worried that once we arrived..the cost of the place may hit me like a ton of bricks and I would feel it wasn't worth it... That NEVER crossed my mind. Definitely stay in one with the plunge pool. It was just an enchanting experience, relaxing in that pool with that INCREDIBLE view!! (Hint: we stayed in Marigot Bay for 5 nights in simpler accommodations and then drove across the island for our last few nights at Jade!!! I would recommend doing this.) AND - The tree house restaurant at Anse Chastanet was every bit as good as the rooftop restaurant at Jade.
