Where do I even start to explain how amazing this resort was. We were thoroughly surprised by the attentive butlers that were at our disposal. We were very glad that we opted for the all-inclusive option because it was well worth it. One thing is you have to be one with nature which did not bother us much since the room has three walls. It was very […] soothing to wake up to the amazing views and sounds of nature. Having the infinity pool was the icing on the cake. It gives you the option to just relax and absorb all the visual stimulation in front of your eyes. We would love to visit again in the future! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
It was Fantastic!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
As a general rule we do not return to the same island or resort. However, Jade Mountain and St. Lucia/Soufriere are a destination that begs a return visit. People are wonderful, resort remarkable and the food, ooh la la. The only downside is that it is a bit of a haul to get there from the Vieux Fort airport but what lay at the end of the transport […] is lovely. If you can, chose to take the helicopter transport for a great view of the island a you land at the resort! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Jade Mountain is a magical place. The staff is very friendly and accommodating, to the point where you don't have to worry about a thing. If you are looking for a romantic place to escape and relax, this place is for you! You are surrounded by the lush rain forest and gorgeous Piton mountains. The beach is a bit of a walk, but not to worry, if you don't […] feel like walking they offer shuttle service on demand. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Jade Mountain Resort is located in a beautiful part of St. Lucia with an amazing view of the Piton mountains. We enjoyed the stay, but there were several disappointing issues: 1) The internet was slow and unreliable. 2) The tennis court was always wet, they would need to change the surface. 3) They fruit they offered was not local and did not taste […] good. This is particularly annoying in an island full of delicious fruit trees. 4) The area below the bed was very dirty. 5) The resort offers some rooms with pools, but if you do not have one, there are no pools outside. 6) The room are in the open, and it can get really hot during the day. Be prepared to sweat. 7) The food and very item you may need are very expensive, there are no low cost options. Overall and for the reasons mentioned above, the hotel is overpriced. "Beautiful Hotel on the Mountain"
We got a free upgrade to the Galaxy sanctuary, the best room in the hotel - no the best room in the world. The service here is exceptional, we didn't have to lift a finger. The staff were awesome. They are very friendly, professional, helpful and knowledgeable.Genuine Expedia guest review
From the start this is a special experience. You are greeted by resort staff from the moment you arrive. Every detail of your stay is carefully orchestrated. If you're a "free spirit" you may find the attention to detail a bit intrusive but you will grow to appreciate it. The music and fun is located down the mountain at Anse Chastenate. Look for server […] Fillicia to make it a special event. She was great and really made us feel welcomed. The service is extraordinary. My wife requested Kahlua on the Sunset Cruise. They had none on the boat but had some sent out by ferry to satisfy her request. It was her 60th. birthday and they were more than willing to accommodate her. Now that's great service! Dinner at Jade Mountain was good but not great. Too much pretense and not enough quality for the price. Other than that the food was very good and presentation was extraordinary. The rooms are a knockout. For any special occasions it will be well worth it. We kept pinching ourselves to make sure we were not dreaming! We were upgraded from Sky to Moon when we checked in. On the last night we were upgraded to Galaxy room JD1 at no extra charge. Please, give me a break. What a room. Just magnificent. For a special trip, Jade Mountain can not be beat. "most amazing Romantic spot in the word"
I surprised my wife with a weekend getaway, little did I know how blown away the 2 of us were going to be. From the minute you get there you are pampered from the cold peppermint towels to your own personal butler ( mervin and teddy thanks so much) that takes you and your luggage directly to the room, no waiting to check in you go directly to your room. […] The no worry no problem attitude was soo refreshing from our everyday that it took about 5 minutes to get used to. The BENTLEY was so amazing after a long plane ride and almost an hour ride it couldn't have gotten any better. The room ..........not sure how to describe the feeling all I'm going to say is pictures can not capture the beauty. Just go. You need to experience it yourself. My love for jade mountain started on may 17 2013 when I arrived. Thank you to the unbelievable staff and creators of this astonishing master piece.. Me and my wife will renew our vows there in 2015 with our family. Can't wait.love this place Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

Not only did this hotel have great service (thank you domo Teddy) but it had the most fantastic views of the Pitons! Even when it rained you couldnt be disappointed about your day.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Get the room with the infinity pool inside it - it is amazing. When I booked on Hotels.com it wasn't clear that the hotel I booked did not have an infinity pool. We later upgraded after we arrived. The views are great, the temperature was warm. The jazzy boat tour was great fun and so was the volcano mud bath. Teddy was an amazing butler. Excellent […] service, food, and the room (with the infinity pool) was great fun. Note: There is no tech in the room - no TV, no iPhone docking station, etc. So if you want music, bring your own playing device. We will likely visit this hotel again. "The most romantic hotel on earth"
This is a place to put on your bucket list. Book a sanctuary with an infinite pool, get the all inclusive package and arrive by the helicopter. You will not regret it. The open air rooms with the amazing view is not to be believed. The four poster king bed with the mosquito netting is so romantic. The only bad thing is having to leave. There is no elevator, […] lots of steps to the beach and no tv.....but that all made it BETTER. My husband and I went for our 25 th anniversary and it was the trip of a lifetime. It was simply breath taking. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
This resort is a perfect romantic getaway. It sits on a hilltop with a perfect view of the ocean and the Pitons (twin mountains). I would recommend getting a star or moon suite to really experience the fullness of the resort. The major domos are amazing and make you feel very comfortable. The food on the resort will stand among some of the best cuisines […] I've ever had. Most of the sought after activities in St. Lucia are nearby the area. The only downside is getting to the resort can be quite a hike. Very bumpy and scary roads, but all the drivers are great. Make sure you bring plenty of bug spray and cover any exposed skin if you want to head to the beach. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"This is upscale camping, great food, ambiance..."
The hotel staff here is amazing, there is nothing they won't do for you. My only complaints are you need to walk 151 steps to the restaurant on top of Jade Mountain, so if you have any restrictions and cannot do this it's a challenge, no elevator. They may drive you if you cannot walk it, but I don't know this. The hotel does not have airconditioning […] the rooms are very nice, but at night it's very noisy due to the crickets, birds, howling dog on the bottom at the beach. I wore ear plugs and a mask so that the light would not wake me up. The comfort of the room is okay at night, but during the day was humid and hot. I am sure the summer is extremly warm 95 degrees and humid. I loved it as an experience, but if you like activity and pool this is not the place for you. Like I said it was very nice, but I think I would do Sandals were it's not so quiet and hot. I would recommond it, if you like camping and don't miind spending alot of money for great meals, romance, quiet and being hot. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Great but not the best hotel in St Lucia"
The hotel overall is great but lots of hotels in St Lucia have the same view and I was expecting the room to be a bit more special. The view is what makes the room. The service is good but could be better, all the staff are greeting you all the time with "welcome to paradise" each 5 min.. Which we found a bit annoying. You have a phone in your bedrooom […] to call the butler, in our case, the phone did not work. Lots of features in the room look a bit dated. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

It's rare that you visit, or should I say experience, a resort that even though your expectations are elevated based on press and word of mouth they are exceeded. The staff is outstanding from the minute that you are greeted at the reception are to the minute that you leave. Nothing is left to chance, the staff motto, " not for you to lift a finger" is appropriate. The food and restaurants are very good and the variety of the menu changes from night to night. The freshness and variety of foods are amazing. The trip from the airport is via some very curvy and mountainous roads and that is an experience in itself. But once you are on the property that quickly fades. The sanctuaries are an architectural design wonders and every attempt was made to blend in with the environment and the wonderful view of the pitons. I would highly recommend that you get a sanctuary with the infinity pool as it is a refreshing water feature that adds so much to the experience. It's true what people have said that you could stay the entire time in your sanctuary and be satisfied but why not experience all that is there to offer? The celestial lounge is amazing in the evenings with the stars and the candlelight. I have been many places in the world but this is one of the most romantic and restful resorts that I have ever had the pleasure of experiencing. Ok, some of the lows if one would call it that. Don't leave any leftovers out unless you want avian company to visit you frequently. The price is not without questioning initially but after you are immersed in the environment it was worth every cent to me. Just go and experience... You will go back

FYI. We were at the resort November 2011. You can't select that far back, so I just put 2013 so that you'd know what time of year we were there. It's taken me a while to write this. Sorry!! I will say that my memory is good. My husband and I were fortunate to stay at Jade Mountain for our honeymoon. We got upgraded twice, which was sensational. Even the rooms we had without the infinity pools were lovely. They had a beautiful fruit plate set out for us when we first arrived. In fact, they left us an afternoon fruit plate every day. The first night we were in a the base room, which was nice, but once we received two upgrades I really felt the majesty of the property. The 2nd night we were moved to an open air room with a huge soaking/Jacuzzi tub which allowed you see out onto the lush forest and ocean. The 4th wall was removed and the breeze was wonderful. You'd think that the open air concept would invite bugs and bites, but neither of us experienced that. The third night they upgraded us again to a room with an infinity pool. That was amazing! What you see in the photos is truly what you get. We were fortunate to stay in that room for 2 nights. You'd think all the changing would be annoying, but it was fine because we were able to experience the different levels of accommodations at the resort. The rooms come with a butler. Our first butler was A+. He was friendly and really seemed to enjoy his job. I honestly wasn't comfortable calling him. I think we called him once to ask for beers and then one other time to ask him to make a reservation. I only did that so he didn't think we were snubbing him. I figured that there were enough high maintenance people for him to deal with and since we are self sufficient and fairly low maintenance, I wanted to give the guy a break. The activities were a lot of fun. The three activities we selected were mountain biking, snorkeling trip and the massage. I will say that the included massage was not good. I've had a lot of massages in different countries and I have to say my complimentary couples massage was one of the worst. I have a feeling it's because it was part of the package, so the masseuse didn't care. I did go back to the spa for a 30 minute head and neck massage, which was much better. I definitely enjoyed that one. The mountain biking was fun. We went in the rain. They take you on a mini loop where the plantation once stood. It was good for me as a novice bike rider, but I could see how an experience mountain biking thrill junky may find it just ok. The bike tour guide was super cool. I also enjoyed walking around the plantation. I would have also, enjoyed doing the nature walk, but we didn't' have time. The snorkeling would have been fun if I hadn't been sea sick. My husband is an avid diver and said he enjoyed the scuba diving trip they went on. The best part for him was talking with the dive master who has the record for most dives in the world (something like that). The water is warm and blue. I loved swimming in it. It was definitely paradise. The fancy restaurant we took most of our meals at the top of the resort was okay. They view is beautiful. The service was great, but the food itself was mediocre. I expected more. There were no stand out dishes. Since were guests at Jade Mountain we could also dine a the restaurants at Anse Chastanet. We had dinner on the beach one night which was ok as well, but it was nice to eat on the beach. There was a cocktail at the beach bar that I really loved. It was like a pina colada. The name escapes me now. The burger bar on the far beach was excellent. They made the bread on the grill. It was juicy, well seasoned and just darn tasty. That was our favorite thing to eat at the resort. The architecture was special. I loved the web of stone stairs and bridges. I felt like I was on Pandora (Avatar). I loved it. Over the staff was great. My one gripe is that they charge you if you need a tooth brush. Most nice hotels have throw away, travel toothbrushes for their guests. That was definitely annoying to spend $4 on a toothbrush. I would have given them 5 stars if the restaurant had been better and had they supplied toothbrushes. Howeve, we will definitely be back. Oh! Side note, it's an adult only resort, which I liked a lot. I love kids, but I must say that when you're spending that kind of money you don't want to worry about screaming kids. Anse Chastanet is the sister resort just below Jade where kids are allowed. Since I'm having a baby soon, I imagine we'll have to stay there next time.
"Cocktails at Jade Mountain"

Just came back from a stay at Anse Chastanet ( see my review). We were offered a tour of the spectacular Jade Mountain, which is just up the mountain from Anse Chastanet. Channel was our tour guide knowledgeable tour guide. She showed us everything including an actual "3-walled room". Quite spectacular! She also arranged for us to have cocktails in their lounge. Kerwin was our server and did a great job. He was fun and he's studying photography on the side-which translates into some beautiful pictures he took of us. Nearly professional!
"The Room is the Star!"

As others have mentioned the rooms are spectacular, unlike anything I've ever seen. So....some minor pet peeves. And I want to repeat, minor. We stayed in JD2 for five nights last week. Used the ironing board and iron the first day and house keeping never returned it to the closet, got folded up and leaned against the wall for the rest of our stay. As well re housekeeping, one day they cleaned the hot tub and never emptied of sudsy water. There is a little bit of a mercenary vibe coming from the butlers and concierge concerning booking day activities and dinners. Other wise the butler service was exemplary. The restaurants are all great with one exception, we at lunch on the beach one day and the service at the restaurant was slow to non-existent. The service at the restaurant at the top of Jade was spectacular as was a solo guitarist. Service in general from the concierge was lacking. Not returning phone calls in a timely manner and sometimes not at all. The last night of our stay had heavy rain and there was a leak in the ceiling that left a decent amount of water on the floor. As well that same night there was a pause in the rain and the room filled with small fly like insects. Hundreds of them, they didn't bight and probably less than a half hour, but unsettling anyway. We like to eat in the room, and because they are so spectacular, I'm assuming that a lot of people do. Two issues with that, a limited room service menu although you can order of the Jade Mountain Club menu, but it leads to not many choices. And it you leave food unattended for even a moment the birds are in there snacking (and pooping). We finally took a cab into Soufriere and stocked up with some light snacks and wine from the grocery store. Again minor peeves, but when you're spending that kind of $ they can add up.
"Anniversary Trip of a Lifetime"

Never have I experienced hospitality like this. From the moment you walk on the resort to the depressing day you need to leave, everything is taken care of. Our "spoilologists" (Mervin, Filliner, Alllain) were amazing! They were attentive, helpful and super thoughtful. Then the room itself, unbelievable. You could spend your entire vacation without leaving your room if you wanted to. The view was amazing, the pool was refreshing and the food served in the room was great! (Just be mindful of the birds). I will say, you should be very comfortable with the person you're traveling with as the bathroom is completely open. I would highly recommend the all-inclusive package... We ate at the Jade Mountain Club every night as the menu (including even the bread and butter) changed every night. Lester, Bentley and Kerwin were some of the best wait staff we had as well! At the very end of our stay, they had the entire kitchen staff sign a note for us and gave us the chef's email in case we wanted any recipes. The second beach also has some great hand-packed burgers. It's also a much quieter beach for relaxing and swimming. We also did the half-day sailing, which was absolutely worth it. Our Captain Kerwin was a pro and it was nice to sit out in the open ocean with a cocktail in hand and munching on some local snacks. In short, 5 diamonds just isn't enough to describe this place. They have ruined vacations for me as any other trip will certainly pale in comparison!

Simply incredible. The ambiance alone is like nothing I've ever experienced anywhere else in the Caribbean, possibly the world. Be prepared to be completely pampered in the massive, modern, open concept rooms. I also found the dining to be above and beyond expectations - everything from the locally sourced food to the STELLAR staff. Totally top-notch.
"ABSOLUTELY PERFECT FOR OUR HONEYMOON"
07/19/14 FLtraveller2014 Tallahassee, Florida
We actually stayed at Jade Mountain in 2010 - but I just started writing reviews on Trip Advisor... it was worth circling back around to say this property was a perfect choice for our honeymoon! It is very romantic, laid back, easy, delicious, private, excellent service..... I've seen some complaints about the heat. Of course it's hot in St Lucia with no walls! But there is a refreshing infinity pool with amazing views right in your room. At night we were comfortable, and the joy and freedom of sleeping in the open air is awesome. Our "suite" was huge and really its own villa! We ate in our room many times, and they delivered each corse whenever we were ready. I would heartily recommend Jade Mountain to all honeymooners who enjoy unique, romantic, secluded experiences. I wouldn't recommend it for families, etc -- to me, that is missing the point and distracting to other guests.
"OUTSTANDING & ROMANTIC - Don't let the missing wall deter you!"
07/11/14 idohoneymoons Charlotte, NC
I'm a travel agent and we went here for part of our honeymoon. Here are my thoughts. Getting there you have to go up a winding and dirt road, but our driver Elvis (who comes HIGHLY recommended) made it a perfectly enjoyable ride. I sat in the back and didn't feel sick, which is odd for me. Go for the taxi or private transfers. Elvis also stopped along the way so we can get snacks and drinks to keep in our room. As soon as we pulled in, they were waiting with a cold peppermint towel. (So refreshing) even though the car had A/C and the ride was comfortable. Once we got there, she brought us straight to our room and we checked in there. They took all our departure info so our check out was a breeze. Get the romance package if you can and at least get the MAP meal plan for sure. THE BUTLER STAFF Was amazing! They were there for anything we needed. We mostly had Filina and she couldn't do enough for us and was so on top of our every need. So professional! And she left us to ourselves when we didn't need her. We called to get a shuttle to breakfast or the beach and we had it as soon as we walked out. I don't think we waited more then 3 minutes! I didn't feel rushed or intrusive at all. She was wonderful! And then there was John that helped with ice, luggage, etc and he was there for us as well. ROOM We had the Moon Sanctuary - JB4. Splurge for the room with the pool. You'll regret it. We were blown away by the natural beauty of the room. The view was breathtaking! The 4th open wall made it feel like we were outside with all the comforts of an upscale hotel. It was a warm 88 degrees during the day, but the 6 fans in the room and the sea breeze made it seem a lot cooler. And the sun doesn't get in the room, so at night, the temperature goes down to about 70 which made it fine. There is a fan right above the bed, so we slept good. The beds were very comfortable!!! And there is a netting around it if you're afraid of bugs. I think we saw a total of 3 mosquitoes the whole time we were there, so if you're afraid of the bugs, don't. You'll get bit more off property. The lights all had yellow bulbs in them which cuts down on bugs. And I'm sure the ceiling fans help with that too. The only thing that came in the room were the birds and we loved that. Just make sure you don't leave food out! Waking up to the Pitons and the sounds of owls, birds and waterfall sounds from the infinity pool was the most relaxing experience of my life. The room IS the resort. You won't find coconut bowling or ping pong here. This is a true sanctuary. No phones, no TV's just peace and quite. The room had a fridge stocked with drinks, and coffee maker. We did have WiFi in the room which was nice. The bathroom was all open, no doors here, so make sure comfortable with your spouse! They had a GREAT shower with 7 water spouts open in the middle of the bathroom!! 2 sinks and upgraded amenities. A hot tub with jets and lights that changed color! The rich local wood was so beautiful. I've heard complaints about how cold the pool was and I didn't think it was cold at all. It was the perfect temperature to cool off. If you want a warm pool, get in the jacuzzi. FOOD We did the breakfast buffet and it was the best! A great variety and the food was again, the best.. Also, I would recommending getting breakfast in your room most days, but the buffet was a nice change. For breakfast in your room, you just have to fill out a card and put it in the door the night before. The food again, AMAZING! Jade Mountain Club - The best!! Every night, we had a different menu, all GOURMET! Again, top shelf all the way from the salad through the dessert. We had Jerrome and Lester as waiters and they were the best. The staff up there is so professional and again, the food there is an event! My husband, the picky eater was amazed. The chef had the menu down pat and such a great variety. The only thing about the restaurant, is we had to climb 116 stairs which was fine for us (made eating the dessert easier knowing we burned off some calories), but for the elderly or handicapped, it may be an issue. I'm not sure, but there may have been an easier way for them. But it was absolutely worth the climb. You will never eat that good anywhere! MASSAGE Spring for the in-room massage and ask for Verna. She was amazing! It was the best massage I've ever had and I've had my share! They set up in the room and used essential oils and went over the hour allotted. I melted like butter! My husband had Olga and he had a great massage too. Afterwards, get over to the suppler springs and get a mud bath to further relax your muscles. It's a short taxi ride and your butler will take care of that for you. THE BEACH The butler will arrange for you to get the shuttle down to Anse Chastanet Beach. Beautiful and quiet beach with grass huts, plenty of cushioned chairs, wait staff on hand and food nearby. There is a dive shop down there and also water taxi's if you need them. There, they also have catamaran cruises that the butler can arrange. We snorkeled every day down by the surf shop and saw some great fish. It was just a really nice relaxing break in the day. The Caribbean Sea was gorgeous! TIPPING: Tipping is expected but was well earned! Bring lots of small bills. $1's $5's and $10's since they will return money in EC (St. Lucian dollars) Also keep in mind the exchange rate. FINAL THOUGHTS This is a place you will go to totally unwind and relax like you've never relaxed before! And if you want to get out for the day, there are many beautiful places to see. Jade Mountain is an event, more than a resort. The most romantic place I've ever been! I would highly recommend adding it to your bucket list! We will be back again!

Without a doubt one of the most stunning hotels I have ever stayed at, the view is breath-taking, you will miss the Pitons when you leave. Waking up to the view is like nothing else. The architecture is so unique, at nighttime it feels like you are on another planet. We had alot of massages and they were all amazing, we also did the massage class which we enjoyed too. We did one walk-in scuba dive which was great, the reef just at the bottom of the mountain had a lot of fish and coral and it was nice not to have to get on a boat to travel to a dive-site. We splurged on the Helicopter transfer to and from the hotel and I would do that again, it was worth every penny - seeing the island and rainforest from the sky - WOW. Our butler was always keen to book dinner reservations for us but we preferred to dine in our amazing room with the sounds of nature and water, what could be better? the only super sad part of the stay was that the water in the hotel room balcony pool was much too cold to swim in, if it was heated then this could be the best hotel in the universe.
