Good room conditions, modern decoration, but too soft matress. The food from the restaurant, at lunch time or dinner time was delicious. I didn't go for breakfast. I think is too much expensive (16 EUR) and was in a hurry. The shuttle worked very well, mostly on time. Too problems: my shower fell in my head once, since the hanger wasn't that good and THE INTERNET ACCESS in the room = VERY EXPENSIVE. In a country like German you should have internet free on the hotel 4 stars. I paid 12 EUR for the specific time from 6 pm to 9 am. If you need to use during the day you will pay 12 EUR for 2 hours. Beside that I had problem with speed and connection through my wireless.

I called the hotel for the shuttle service. they stated it would be their shortly. After waiting 30 minutes, I called once again and after over 50 minutes of waiting the shuttle bus finally showed up. The driver then awaited at the pickup point for another 10 minutes before we got on our way. Also on the way to the hotel he stopped to fuel the bus which took yet another 10 minutes or more.I have never had that experience before. It took well over an hour after first arriving to the pick up point until I reached the hotel. Furthermore, The staff at the hotel were unsensitive to the trouble they put us through. On my next stay in the Frankfurt Airport area, I will take the train the center city and stay at a hotel there. At least them, I can count on consistent service

The hotel is conveniently located near the airport and is clean and well-maintained. Our only beef is that we couldn't remember if breakfast was included so we asked the desk person who indicated that it was. While we were eating we were presented with a bill for 34 Euros for the breakfast. The hotel insisted that we pay this since we ate the breakfast. We felt this was unfair since it was their error. for this reason we would not stay there again.

The hotel was located in close proximity to the Frankfurt airport and the hotel's shuttle service ran conveniently between the airport and hotel. There is a wonderful market located within walking distance of the hotel where you can purchase fresh fruit, drinks, snacks or other grocery items. There was also a restaurant nearby, although we did not eat there. The hotel has a restaurant but it seemed a bit pricey. The hotel has a workout area and a pool if you are interested in that. If you are looking for a place close to the airport, this would fit the bill.

I was very pleased with this hotel overall. However, they really really need to improve their internet access, and it should be free. As is, you pay for access and each time your computer is idle a couple of minutes, you have to re-navigate a ludicrously complex sequence of steps, one of which even requires that you give your full name, address, etc.! Also, the in-room coffee/tea machine was surely contrived as a challenge piece for aspiring rocket scientists! But the room itself and the hotel service was excellent. The restaurant was also very good, though the ambience could be improved by lowering the lighting. Very good value for the money. Other than the noted caveats, I highly recommend.

This was our second visit to the Mercure. The first visit (late last year) was very good. This was less so. Our room lacked towels (one for two people) and shampoo, conditioner etc. When we pointed these things out to the desk person, we were given what we needed. We also ate dinner in the restaurant. While the food was ok (not spectacular)we were surprised that we had no bread and butter plates (other tables did). These may seem like picky complaints but they made us wonder a bit. Bottom line: we'll probably return to give them one more try.

For the price I paid, this hotel was very nice. It exceeded all my expectations. The room was very large and so was the bathroom. The bed also very comfortable. I arrived later in the day, and found that the complementary airport shuttle picked up passengers until 11:55pm, which was good considering the time at which I arrived. Upon my arrival I found that the bar was open late and sold snacks. I was not expecting much being a bar and all, but was pleasently surprised by the quality of the food, very good. They picked us right up in front of the airport with no waiting (it is the fist pick up spot to the left when you come out of the airport)and it only took about 5 minutes to the hotel. It was faster to get to the hotel than it was to drive in the airport shuttle bus from the airplane to airport! The rooms were quiet and clean, nice pool and sauna, nice restaurant with good food. My son went down the street to get Chinese food, but we wished we'd just eaten their fooda as it looked better! The only disappointment was that it was too far and too expensive to get to downtown Frankfurt for sightseeing in the evening!

The telephone number printed on the telephone that is supposedly your number directly to your room from the outside is incorrect. I mentioned it to the front desk after my husband attempted calling several times and the person at the front desk attempted to argue with me. Perhaps most disturbing was their primitive internet system. With a 4 star hotel I expected at least the basics. After much confusion it turns out that if you are using the cable LAB connection (their wireless is worthless)), then your telephone will not function. I was logged in to catch emails from work, but had I not received an email from someone trying to reach me by phone with no success, I would have not received my morning wakeup call and I would have missed my return flight to the US. The hotel does not tell its guests that this connection will preclude you from recieving calls.

Prices were commensurate with the type of hotel that it is, and I have to say that too many young people with less than adequate communication skills were working the desk. However, that was a minor problem. Breakfast sure looked good, but it was expensive by our standards: $30. The room was very adequate and the bed was especially comfortable, with the Euro-cover feeling very cozy. It merits the four star rating. If used as a place to stay and sightsee, it is 20 Kilometers from the city, a possible inconvenience. There is only a Supermarket within walking distance, along with a very good Chinese food restaurant. The hotel dining room looked inviting, but I didn't use it.
