This hotel was soooooooo noisy! The girls at the front desk were so rude. They acted like they could care less if we stayed there or not, and when I asked about why my wireless would not work, she said, "must be something wrong with whatever you are using can't do anything about it" We will never go there again or recommend it. Our stay was very nice and I will return in the future. The rate of the room was good, and for a 2 room hotel room with a full size fridge, a 2 burner stove, microwave, was very roomy, beds were comfy, even the open up sofa was very comfy. I have to admit, I was a little weary at first because I had not been here in over 15 years. The location of the hotel was in the better part of Wildwood Crest. The homes in the area were beautiful and well kept. The restaurants were easily accesible too. But this hotel had everything I would need to be comfortable. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Our room was very clean. The pool was opened already in early May. Extremely clean, inviting and heated. The beach was at the end of the building which was a great plus. I would definately come back when we have a whole weekend or extended stay. Well worth it!

OK. So I was a little nervous. We found this hotel on Expedia, and frankly, there are so few hotels on Expedia on the Jersey shoreline, I was pretty sure the place would either be 8 blocks inland or a dive. What a shock! We got the key from the VERY nice lady at the front desk, went to our room and behold! there was the largest living room/dining area […] I have seen... even at the top of the line hotels. Pass through a door by the smaller bathroom, and there were two double beds, with a wash basin, TV, and closet. I WAS PLEASED! The room is a lot like the rest of the New Jersey shore locations; older construction, furniture, etc. Yet this hotel was very clean and well kept I can't say the beds were the most comfortable I have ever slept in, but for my old back, they were very respectable. The linens were clean and fresh. The bathroom was cleaned even into the corners. There were two TV's. The hotel was right on the beach at the end of the block. In Wildwood the ocean is quite a distance out from the beach edge, but we sat every AM with our door open, watching and listening to the ocean from the couch (also a Queen sleeper). The dining room had table, chairs, dishes, pots and pans, even wine glasses in the cupboards. The fridge was a full sized fridge. There was a 12 cup coffee maker that pleased this coffee addict! They even had three Weber barbeques that we used with friends who came over for a Chicken Barbeque one night by the pool! Yes, we will be coming back! Read more

The only problem that I encountered was the poison ivy growing on the railings of our deck. Unfortunately it was dark the first night that I leaned against it and did not realize it was there. Sort of misleading. For less money I have stayed in a much nicer resort on the boardwalk in de. It is not in walking distance of wildwood Boardwalk. Oceanfront room had 2 very uncomfortable double beds. We hardly slept the first two nights and decided to check out the last day early. For more $$ it is worth it to stay in cape may proper. I found this hotel on the trip advisor website. I needed a hotel right on the beach with facilities for my mother who uses a wheelchair and walker. The elevator was very convient and not something you find at most Wildwood Crest hotels. An added plus was the walkway that started at the street and enabled me to wheel my mother's chair half way onto the […] beach. I had a two room suite as mom's aid was along with us. The room was large and very clean. The beds were comfy and the bathroom large enough for mom's walker to fit all the way in. I loved having the full kitchen which let us eat breakfast in and store fruit and water. The staff was friendly and helpful. Speacial thanks to the young man who helped us close our beach carrier. Convenient - on the beach, but far from "downtown". Taxi cost $16 to go from the hotel to the main area downtown. We went for the Roar to the Shore motorcycle rally so obviously a pretty rough crowd - not sure if this is typical or not. The lady at the check in was delightful, the room was huge with a large sitting area, large fridge, microwave and […] stove (no oven) with plates and cutlery. We enjoyed the hotel for two things: the peace and quiet and, the beach. The hotel's next door neighbour is another hotel but in front of it are privately owned condos. Less traffic. The hotel practically sits on the beach! We had an efficiency unit. The unit was quite clean and had two double beds that were comfortable. The only suggestion that I would make is that the hotel take the time to invest in repainting and removing the rugs on the floors. The rugs should be replaced with tiles or linoleum as not everyone is clean and rugs keep odors for a long time. The room did have a musty smell to it. Unfortunately this tends to happen as over time with the sea so close and guests who are often negligent in keeping a room clean, the room keeps the odors...much like the rugs. The beach is beautiful and very clean. The sea was at approximately 75 to 80 degrees. Wildwood Crest is much quieter than Wildwood proper due to the fact that there is no boardwalk. So if someone is looking for a quiet environment while sitting on a beautiful beach...Wildwood Crest is the place to be and at the Acacia Hotel. Read more
