My son and I booked in for a pop concert. Hotel is spotless as are the rooms, beds beautifully clean and comfy, probably the best hotel I have stayed in. Staff were brilliant ,helpful and polite. Nothing was a bother and when we left 4.00am for an early flight home, breakfast was prepared for us in the foyer with toast, cereal, fruit, yoghurt etc. The receptionist even sorted the taxi out when he had to wait for us for 10 mins and we didn't pay extra waiting time. This hotel is the best. Definately would stay again, didn't want to leave!

The hotel was very accomodating and checked us in immediately upon arrival - and our flight got in at 8 am local time (I thought this was wonderful!). We were tired from our overnight flight and went straight to sleep. It was an important trip as this was a mother-daughter trip to Europe (Mom's first trip to Ireland). Our room turned out to have no air conditioning and Ireland was unseasonably warm. The next morning we asked at the front desk for help with the room and after a bit of difficulty with clerk, the manager came to our assistance. He moved us to an upgraded room, ensured the A/C was working, provided us with a balcony, robes, and fruit and water for our incovenience. Also, the hotel is ideally located across from Kilmainham Gaol which just happens to be on the double decker bus route as well as supported by a never-ending queue of taxis. Heuston Station is within walking distance - though I suggest a taxi due to traffic whizzing by. What else? The pool and spa at the Hilton Kilmainham is wonderfully relaxing. The staff at the gym/spa are helpful and friendly. For a nice nightcap and chat with the locals, walk across the street to the Patriot's Pub - good grub and great chats. When next I travel to Dublin, I'll happily stay at the Hilton Kilmainham.

We stayed in 4 different hotels while in Ireland. Our first and last night was booked at the Hilton. The first night was great, we got the room for a very good price, $77 for a saturday night and it included breakfast. The room was clean and comfortable and it was quiet. Finding it was a nightmare though but that's because driving in Dublin is a nightmare. You are much better off discovering the city on foot. Anyways, the last night was a thursday night and we paid $134! Very expensive but we thought well it's our last night and we should treat ourselves. Well I was upset in the morning because apparantely breakfast wasn't included. I don't know what the difference was from the first night and the last. Also parking was not included. That was another 10 euro plus the 40 for the breakfast! Ended up being a very expensive last night :( I wouldn't stay there again for that price. Also, if you're going to walk into the city centre wear comfortable shoes. I would recommend that instead of driving. Why aren't there any visible signs!!!!!!

The hotel was very nice, with great staff and the breakfast was fine for the classic hotel buffet. The staff even got us a taxi in the strike. We did get a great deal on the cost, which always makes it seem better. The hotel had a great spa pool, steam room and sauna. The only downside is that hotel was a bit far off the main area. We walked one day over three miles to the city. You can taxi for 10 euro or bus for 1.60 euro. There was an Italian restaurant next door that was fine for a dinner. Don't miss the good tour of the Gaul (prison) next door. Fascinating history. Dublin Castle also was a good tour. Skip the Dublina it was basically a maze of signs. I was very disappointed.

Stayed in the hotel for one night and had a lovely relaxing break. The hotel is located on the outskirts of the city but only 12EUR by taxi into town. Ideal location in my opinion if you have a car as parking in city centre is expensive. The hotel car park was 10eur which was great value. Kilmainham Jail & the Modern Arts Museum is across the road, Bus stop & LUAS also nearby. Wouldn't hesistate to recommend this hotel.

The Hilton Kilmainum was clean, modern, and very nice. Given the high cost of Dublin hotels, I think this hotel is priced very fairly. Its location across from the Kilmainum Gaol provides a nice tourist experience, but it is not located near many restaurants or cafes. One very nice little Italian restaurant is located across the street. My only complaint is the small-time gouging for 'extra' services that should be included in a premium hotel. For example, the extremely high per day fee for internet service is ridiculous. Also, use of the 'business center' (for printing things such as boarding passes) was also at at highish fee rate. This seems unprofessional to me and resulted in some inconvenience. My other hotels in Ireland provided wireless internet at no charge. Except for these moderate issues, I was not dissatisfied with this one. The restaurant was quite good and I found the staff friendly and helpful.

I have stayed at the Hotel Kilmainham in Dublin before on a previous trip to Ireland; hence why i chose to stay there again. my previous stay was enjoyable and this time was no exception. The check in was very smooth and friendly, the hotel itself was spotless and the food was quite delicious. The hotel cleaning staff were virtual "ghosts" but in the good way. Whenever we left the room (even for 15 minutes) with the 'Please make up the Room' sign, we returned to a cleaned and re-stocked room and we never once saw a cleaning staff member. I call that excellent service! The only issue we did have was on a Saturday night, we went out for a few drink at a local pub and upon return to the hotel, the doors were locked. We had to literally bang on the glass to get someone's attention and apparently (according to one of the at least dozen people also locked out that night) that this happens every night and it is very difficult to be let back in if no one is paying attention. Other than that, my stay was very enjoyable and I would highly recommend the Hilton Kilmainham to everyone.

A four star hotel in a 0 star location. A brisk 45 min walk from Dublin's attractions though a desolate and somewhat unsavory neighborhood. Even for a 4 star hotel the carpet in my room was soiled and the shower drain flooded within 1 minute. Save your hard earned travel money and stay elsewhere. My stay at the Ardmore hotel at nearly half the cost was a much more pleasurable experience. I plan to return to Dublin, but not this hotel.

The hotel was great, especially the hydrotherapy facility. Being a new hotel, of course it was very striking and modern but, the downside was it is located in an area where there is no shopping or real entertainment to speak of. Also, the food in the hotel was very expensive and not easily available after hours. For example, there are no ice or vending machines on the floors. This meant calling down to the front desk for everything after hours. The staff was very professional however.

I had the pleasure of travelling to Dublin for my birthday in April. We decided to stay at the new Hilton Hotel in Kilmainham (close to the famous Guinness factory) The hotel is located in a Square directly opposite the old Kilmainham jail? The hotel was immaculate in every way ! & the seating outside is a little sun trap ! ?Upon arrival the underground parking (10euro per day) was ample and the staff greeted us in a friendly & very professional manner. Our ?deluxe? room on the 4th floor overlooked a quiet wooded/park area & the quality and cleanliness of the room were outstanding?a large LCD TV, mini bar, comfy seating & a balcony (refundable 15euro deposit for the key) a stunning marble & tiled bathroom with bath & shower. Also a huge separate power shower with a shower head the size of dinner plate ?fabulous !!! Breakfast was delivered to our room bang on time (at our request & as late as possible) to the room, it to was great, beautifully cooked & presented ?however on the second morning as breakfast was 15 mins late ?so 2 free glasses of bubbly ?not bad ! Taxi?s, trams, buses all accessible from the hotel to the city centre?we strolled - 25mins approx All in all this for me was the perfect stay in the perfect hotel?with the perfect person. ?If you are travelling & staying in Dublin this is your hotel?.no doubt !
