Very well located in the old harbor area, within walking distance of a great variety of restaurants, fit for all budgets. When the esplanade is completed the pluses will come along. It is missing a remodelation in the bar.

I think it should be disclosed that there is major construction going on in front of the hotel. also it has lots of road noise. I needed ear plugs. The staff was not very helpful with my lack of french speaking. I asked about a cab to the airport and how much they told me 40-45 euro, the cab charged me 70 euro and all I had was 50 based on hotel. It […] was a big issue with cabby and me at 4am. This is an old hotel, so don't fool yourself. But the location could not be more central in the city of Marseille. The staff were great, and the rooms were large and clean. Not modern, but that's to be expected. Everything worked fine, though.

The hotel is very nice with furniture from 17-18 century. It is in front of the vieux port, there are nice rooms with the view on the sea. It is not cheap, but it is worth what you pay for. Extremely nice and helpful staff.

What a charming and beautiful classic hotel right in the most spectacluar location in all Marseille. The view of the port was amazing and the staff was beyond helpful in every possible way. They anticipated all our needs and provided recommendations for restaurants and sightseeing. The room we had was beautiful, immaculate and we loved the shower (lots […] of water pressure). I travel extesively and am not usually impressed with most hotels. This one is one of my favorites and the price was reasonable to boot. the town is such a DUMP! great amazing hotel, but it's in a dump. the hotel is located in the heart of the port, so maybe that is it, but it was terrible. worst city i've been to in europe. the surrounding areas' are sleazy. you can definitely get robbed there. the food was terrible. did not enjoy anything except hotel. very nice room.

It's not that the hotel was so bad, its just that it was so apathetic. We couldn't drive to the front of the hotel because there were many one way streets or streets that were blocked off. We had to back down a street to get there. No one offered to help with our luggage and when we asked about parking , the man at the front desk suggested "somewhere" […] on the street. We said that we tried a nearby public garage but it's sigh said: Complete. He said, oh the sign is broken there is plenty of room. ( and there was) . When we asked for directions to our resturant - he said he had never heard of it and that it probably wasn't good. ( It has a Michelein star and was fine and located on the water and full). When the internet didn't work in our room , we were told that was too bad because it was a sunday no one would be able to fix it. They didn't care about us and so we don't care about them. Read more

After driving through the crazy Marsielle traffic we were thrilled to arrive at our hotel and find that they had valet parking. The service was wonderful. We were just staying the night because we had an early plane to catch the next day. They offered us a wake up call and told us they would have our car ready and waiting for our departure - and it […] was! The location of this place can not be beat - right at the top of Port Vieux. Although we did not have a room with a view we could simply walk out the front door and be a the port in less than a minute. The hotel was quiet, clean and comfortable. The Internet write up on Hotel did not advise of the following points. 1 Construction site right outside of Hotel, if you want a seaview or balcony I had both but there are workmen everywhere around the harbour its a mess. 2. No Restaurant - Room Service yes but very ltd. 3. No wine etc in Minibar 4. Basically a bedroom no other facilities. Good point […] is the staff are very friendly and makeup for the hotel. General condition of the hotel is good looks the nicest at the harbour from the outside but has nothing inside to want you to come back, stayed in nicer the following evening but staff were not as nice. Very nice hotel with a great location. Shame there is a lot of work on the Vieux port at present so the view is over a bulding site , then the "Port" but the windows kept the noise away. This is the case for all hotels in the area anyway. I had mentioned it was our anniversary and we got upgraded which was a nice gesture. The room wasn't on the large […] side but had high ceiling nice decor and everything you need (bath robes, slippers, kettle, safe, etc)The staff were all very polite and helpful. Very nice breakfast room,the breakfast itself was fresh and varied, it was included in our room rate otherwise it is not cheap if you pay for it separately but If you are on a budget there is a bakery right next to the hotel. Hotel was in a great location adjacent to the Vieux Port and easy access to many reataurants. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. My room was beautiful but did not have a view and there was very little natural light. Service was very good.

Overlooking the Vieux Port, so centrally located, with good restaurants nearby. Pleasant breakfast room with harbour view. Room rather small but you are paying for the location. Staff very friendly and efficient. We would stay there again.

A great choice! The staff were friendly and very helpful. The location was perfect, right at the port, the tourist office next door and the metro around the corner. Great having a safe in the room so I did not need to worry about my valuables when walking around the city. The breakfast was fine if you are happy with a French breakfast.

Well located hotel in Marseille. Staff really helpful, and speak English well. Our room was spacious as was the bathroom. Room and bathroom really clean and bathroom modern.
