STUDIO MOTEL OF LAKE GEORGE - Lake George

The staff was extremely friendly. The room was very simple but spacious, clean and comfortable. It was very nice and it had a little refrigerator. There was a nice area outside and picnic tables. We were there for a conference so we were not at there very much. But, for the price it was a very nice place to stay.

From check in (less than 3 minute process) to check out (just as friendly and speedy) I have not one complaint. Our room (39) was clean, very spacious & even had our very own balcony. Great value but linen/bedding was stained (but clean). Rug had a musty ordor as well. Bathroom was perfectly clean. Very convenient location - out of the hustle and bustle of the village but near enough. No phones in room to contact office. Notwithstanding, great value.

This place is located only about a mile away from the main part of the town but it's well 'hidden' in a secluded area. The room was relatively small, including a small bathroom with standing shower, and there was no continental breakfast (just a pot of coffee available outside the office). On a not so good note - The room was fairly clean, but could have used some better attention when cleaning and a nice wipe down with a wet rag in some places... the window sill was fifthly with dust, dirt, and dead little bugs, there were dead bugs stuck to the ceiling in the kitchenette when you first walked in the door, what looked to be spilled coffee […] was splattered all over the radiator and wall next to the table in the kitchenette, and the dresser drawers were pretty dirty inside. Just little things that seemed to have gone overlooked when the room was cleaned. On a better note - The location was very convenient, one way to town, the other to Great Escape or the outlets. The pool was clean and not busy, so it was nice to relax and cool off. It was quiet and relaxing, didn't have to listen to kids screaming or doors slamming at 7am when we were trying to sleep. A friend and I were in Lake George for some hiking and enjoyment of the immense beauty of the Adirondacks. This little motel was just the ticket for us. It was an excellent value, for a clean room with a few "frills" (fridge, coffee pot, and blow dryer). The pool was crystal clear and there was a place out back to hold cookouts/picnics. The only category that I rated slightly lower (4) was in "comfort." There were two quite bright overhead lights and one lamp. It was pretty hard on the eyes. WE STAYED IN THE OLDER SECTION OF THE HOTEL AND WE LOVED THE FACT THAT IT HAD THE CEDAR PANELING THAT WAS TRADITION WITH THE ADIRONDACK MOTELS OF PAST TIMES YET IT HAS BEEN UPGRADED WITH CABLE TV AND A FRIG! ONLY THING MISSING WAS A COFFEE MAKER AND A MICROWAVE MAY HAVE BEEN NICE. IT WAS VERY CLEAN AND THE STAFF WAS SO HELPFUL IN GIVING DIRECTIONS AND […] HELPING US FIND OUR WAY AROUND. not what we were expcting at all...the rooms were musty smelling and dark. The bathrooms were small and very poorly lit. the shower was hot and beds seemed cleaned but if you looked around there were dead bugs on the floor. This motel has 2 seperate locations. The older units need remodeling. Room was quite small. Shower unit very small. My husband 6 feet couldn't fit in this shower stall. Newer units are newer & quite up to date. Cost is almost double for the newer units.

We had such a great stay at the Studio Motel. The location is off the main rd and craziness of Lake George Village but so nice and close to everything. Our room was nice, we got lots of use out of the kitchen. The pool was great, a nice temperature and was never very busy. I would definitely stay here again!

It is a pleasure to write a glowing review of the Studio Motel. They accommodated us with a first floor room because I was recovering from a broken foot. We enjoyed the quiet surroundings, a restaurant within walking distance, and the beach a five minute drive away. We would have walked there except for my foot. We want to mention John, their desk clerk, […] who went out of his way to help us when our car broke down on the last day. We hope to return again for a longer stay.
