After suffering a party, with food and drink, taking place in the room over the corridor, my husband made a complaint. Finally after complaining again, at 1am, the hotel's solution was to offer us a different room, a smoker's room. As we had booked for four nights and this was the first night we were not happy with the fact that we were being asked […] to move or that the room on offer was a smokers room. We finally spoke to the hotel manager who arranged for the party to move to a function room. We were told that this often happens on this particulary night. If so, surely the hotel should have a contingency plan so the rest of the guests are not affected. The rest of our stay was okay. Read more

I have used this hotel in the past and I have never had a problem. I did request a accessible room and was told when checking in (after 11:00PM) that it was. The room was fine as was the bathroom except for the fact that it had a bath instead of a shower. Strange. I did mention this when checking out.

Hotel staff kindly let us check in early as we needed to change before attending a funeral. Room was a good size, clean and comfortable - the only slight niggle was that the radiator was noisy. Over all we enjoyed our stay the staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was very warm and the hotel had no fans when requested but otherwise comfortable. The food and alcohol was expensive in the hotel.

Overall while the Maldron is not a plush Hotel but it is extremely convenient. Right beside the Dublin motoroway and 20 minutes from the Kildare Village. Although perfectly OK in terms of comfort and facilities, the Maldron is a bit isolated, being on a service area just off the motorway and a couple of miles from the town. Its not far from town and is in a retail park with restaurants etc, the hotel has a great leisure complex and is an excellent venue for conferences as it has a free large carpark. enjoyable stay will go again

This was our third time to stay in this hotel so that must say something in itself. The staff are very friendly and helpful, rooms are clean and comfortable. Food is excellent. Will stay again.

First impressions count for a lot and our first impression was a cheerful smiling receptionist, Amanda, who gave us her full attention. The foyer was pleasant with a seated area to relax in while waiting for friends or a taxi. We specifically asked for a quiet room and were given one on the first floor (116) which was large and very clean. Our room […] only had a view of the roof but this was not a problem for us. The bar area was spotless and we found that the breakfast staff were also helpful and cheerful. There was a wide choice for breakfast which was more than adequate. The leisure facilities were also excellent, again very clean with friendly helpful staff. There are no locks on the clothing lockers so leave your door card at reception. I hope the Manager at The Maldron realises that the staff are the most important asset and continues to employ helpful and friendly people. We could not find any complaint about The Maldron at all and would recommend it at once. Read more

Hotel was ok. Rooms great size and comfortable. Very noisy hotel and a lot of noise from room to room. Fire alarm going off at 5.30 in the morning didn’t help. No hot water for shower in the morning, very disappointing.

I was happy with everything but the fact that there was no plug for the bath. I did contact reception and was advised that there were no spare plugs but they could move me to another room. I was at this point settled and and it was late so did not take this option. This one thing would be enough for me to say that I would not recommend this hotel. […] This has happened in another hotel and I think this might be about cost savings i.e. rducing use of hot water.
