"The Coolest Quirkiest Awesome Hotel, ever"
The Cabo Inn is wonderful! It is brightly colored with wonderful plants and decorations. Each room has paintings on the walls. There are several types of accomodations varying from rooms with twin beds, to multi bed rooms and larger Suite units on the 3rd floor. There is even an outdoor lounge on the 3rd floor and a small pool. There is a central courtyard […] that has a communal table and a small kitchentte for guest to use. The coffee is brewing early in the morning for guests... It was such a wonderful experience meeting people from all over the world. Best of all it is walling distance to the marina and all the wonderful restaurants. Thanks Cabo Inn for making my Cabo vacation enjoyable! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"AWWW THOSE CABO NIGHTS"
We arrived at The Cabo Inn not knowing what to expect, we were a little nervous because we had never stayed anywhere but our resort before. It did not disappoint, I mean it is what it is a quaint little joint in the heart of Cabo, we took full advantage of the rooftop pool and lounge area and it didn't take long for the other guests to join in to our […] dance and laughter. I give Cabo Inn a high five, we certainly were not expecting the Hilton but what we got was an amazing expierence at an awesome beautiful little joint. LOVED IT!!! "A little bit of Mexican warmth in a sea of resorts"
I like Mexico and Mexicans - and Cabo Inn es muy de famillia (is very family-like). The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, the hotel was 2 blocks from everywhere, it was clean and safe.Genuine Expedia guest review
Nice location for being close, but not in the action. Lovely setting.Genuine Expedia guest review
"The lovely Cabo Inn"
This is a unique little hotel. Probably not for everyone but if you're searching for quaintness, central location, affordable and lots of personal touches, you are looking for the Cabo Inn. We had the Palapa 2 room which is gorgeous. It has a big patio with a hot tub and lots of greenery. It's a large Palapa room well hidden yet wide open to the world. […] There is a comfortable library and a small pool to cool down in. It's surrounded by a lot of great restaurants and only a couple of blocks from the marina. We spent 7 nights and I would go back there in a heartbeat...just bring your ear plugs! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"inexpensive and close to Marina"
The Cabo Inn Hotel is very basic. it meets your needs but has limited comforts. the hotel is safe and well located, very close to bus stops and Marina and shopping. Bathroom is tiny. room 12 is quite noisy. check out the Polle de Oro down the street. inexpensive and excellent.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

What a find. This small family owned hotel in Los Cabos is only a short walk from the beach, restaurants, shopping. Amazing oasis. Too bad Los Cabos is just one continuous high pressure sell zone.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Clean, Safe, Friendly"
My Mom and I were up to a bit of an adventure away from the 5 star, all inclusive easy holiday. The Cabo Inn provided an awesome spot to experience a taste of old Mexico with daily walks to surrounding restaurants and markets. We enjoyed the friendly staff, clean facilities including the library and swimming pool. We both started out in separate, regular […] rooms and then my mom upgraded to the rooftop bungalow. It was a delight for her. She felt like a Queen and has taken home some beautiful photos of her whimsical surroundings. The Cabo Inns' boast is not centered around brand new. It does not claim perfect condition. I have some friends who would only feel comfortable in 4 or 5 star hotels and I would never suggest they stay at the Cabo Inn. On the other hand, if you look for beauty in the colors and textures of Mexico you will find it here. We would go again in a heartbeat. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

It was an inexpensive hotel, so I wasn't expecting a lot. I was really impressed though with the staff, they were very helpful.Genuine Expedia guest review
Excellent 10-15 min walk to beach, malls, marina. Great location. Lots of great character in layout and appearance of building, unique ambience, artful decor. Very economical choice. Felt very safe as a solo female traveller. Got great tips from owner on unique sights and even where to find economical groceries nearby. Bring ear plugs as neighborhood […] traffic can be noisy at night if you are a light sleeper. Very chill and relaxing atmosphere. Really appreciated the experience and would definitely come again!!

"Well worn, well kept, well liked!"

As most of the reviews say, this is a small hotel in a great location within walking distance of the Marina, touristy areas, beach, main drag, and about anywhere else you might want to go - including to some more 'local' areas of town. Not much from the street, but you walk into a courtyard and all the rooms walk out to this courtyard or the veranda above. Rooms are small, bathrooms even smaller, but adequate. Tables and chairs outside each room give you a community feel...friendly! I was in two different rooms during my stay and the beds were FABULOUS!!! I ALWAYS have trouble sleeping on hotel beds, but these were unbelievably good....both rooms!!! Thank You Maria! Staff was extremely friendly and HELPFUL! They give you a small bottle of cold water on check in, have free coffee in the mornings, and they lock up evenings (you get a key). I felt very safe both in the hotel AND in the surrounding areas! And yes, they speak English quite well, though I really wanted to practice my spanish! Muchas Gracias!!!
"Cute hotel with a hostel vibe"
01/16/15 Coonears Sioux Falls, South Dakota
This is an inexpensive hotel in the heart of downtown Cabo San Lucas. We have stayed at the Cabo Inn five times over the last 8 years. The rooms are small and somewhat dated, but perfectly adequate. The hotel overall is very charming, warm and welcoming. The bed was super comfortable, and that is where you will spend most of your time while in the room anyway! Best TV channel selection of any hotel we have stayed at in Cabo. Very nice upper deck area with plunge pool. Common kitchen area was very useful, and the morning coffee was quite good. Excellent, free, wifi and helpful staff. There is a heavy traffic in the area around the hotel. My wife was fine with turning on the A/C to cover the noise, while I chose to use ear plugs. Only 1 and 1/2 blocks from the only Churro cart in Cabo - we hit it every evening. Lots of good local restaurants nearby.
"LOVE everything about this place!!"

Everything positive you read on trip advisor is true! This place is amazing. We stayed here for 5 nights and I am already wanting to go back. Some of the highlights: 1. We stayed in one of the Palapa suites on the 3rd floor - totally open air, thatched roof, private balcony. AMAZING! It's not that much more expensive and totally worth it. If you can spring for this, do it. You won't be sorry. It is noisy - nightclubs and such nearby - but we didn't mind a bit. 2. Walking distance to SO. MANY. THINGS. Great restaurants, convenience stores for cheap beer, the beach, bars, the marina - everything. 3. The front desk staff was super helpful - we got a discount on a glass bottom boat tour and saved quite a bit of money compared to the prices we were hearing down near the marina. 4. Other guests were very friendly (of course you can't guarantee that but we lucked out)! We spent some time hanging out in the communal areas on the main, second, and third floors and always ran into friendly folks to have a conversation with. 5. This may be the best part - we stayed here over Christmas and on Christmas Day - the owners, staff, and their families hosted a huge, family style Christmas dinner for all of us. There was a small fee to eat the food (only to recover their cost of the food, I'm sure) OR you could bring a dish and eat for free! 6. The Cabo Inn had the best coffee I had in Mexico. I had several cups of coffee in various restaurants and the Cabo Inn was the best! (Wouldn't have been a deal breaker if the coffee had been bad, but good coffee is always a plus!) Overall, this place is amazing. I would go back every couple of months if I had my way! It's cute, charming, unique, SO much more special than any hotel I've ever stayed in. If I ever make it back to Cabo again, I will absolutely be staying here. Thanks for an awesome vacation, Cabo Inn!
"Cabo Inn Hotel--Colorful and Friendly"

Seven wonderful nights here tucked in a neighborhood a few minutes walk from anything you need in Cabo. First, the place reminds me of some beautiful jungle bird, painted and furnished in brilliant colors and lush with trees, vines and thatched palapas on the rooftop level. It is like living in a beautiful painting. The owners and staff are low-key, friendly and helpful. I had small room that opened on to a central court. What the room lacked, the entire hotel space made up for. The price was very reasonable and because of it the hotel attracts interesting and adventurous travelers from everywhere. There was always the opportunity explore, eat, go to beaches with fellow travelers, sharing stories and making new friends. The hotel is located in a neighborhood filled with small taquerias, local shops and working families. Fresh seafood was on every menu and many local restaurants feature regional Mexican cuisines that showcase the seafood very well. Do yourself a favor in Cabo: Avoid the timeshares, mega hotels, marina eateries and other cruise ship tourist traps. This is a much better Cabo experience.

We had a wonderful time here around the 4th of July 2014. We could walk all around town and down to the marina/mall/beach with no problem. It was charming, clean and had an authentic Mexican feel. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Room was small but clean. We upgraded to the palapa on our last night and it was wonderful; open-air and spacious. There was noise from the street but we didn't mind. Dynamite ceviche within walking distance. I can't wait to go back.
"Good Experience Overall"
01/03/15 NomadicSky Huauchinango, Mexico
I chose the Cabo Inn for price, location and the uniqueness it offered. Overall my stay there was good. Victor, the owner, a very smart business man who operates the Cabo Inn for the joy of it was very helpful with my many questions. He even provides good snorkeling gear for $ 5. All the staff including his Mother were great. The Cabo Inn was awarded "The Best of Trip Advisor" of which I asked him how that is bestowed. He told me that it was something to do with achieving an rating of 96% overall. So that is a testament to the Cabo Inn. I would like to share a few details for what it's worth. The Cabo Inn is not for everyone. If you are expecting this cookie-cutter type hotel then be forewarned that this is not the place. Some would describe it as almost a hostel type hotel. I would say that several guests were definitely the hostel types but there's nothing wrong with that. The rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable, the courtyard is the usual outdoor courtyard, much of the materials, furniture, thatch roof etc are authentic thus it may seem a bit dusty and dirty. However, I always saw housekeepers cleaning. The Cabo Inn was under some renos / upgrading so check first as that almost eliminates the opportunity to just chill out in the public areas. As for my room, when I arrived, I had stained bed sheets and towels that were gray, frayed and had holes in them. I was taken aback at how back they were. I was in the courtyard and saw the beautiful pure white linens outside the other rooms and so I spoke with Victor and they promptly changed everything. I have no idea how such an oversight could happen. Make sure you are not booked into room 11. It is directly above a pizza place and shares a common exterior wall. The air conditioner is mounted to the outside of the wall so the music comes directly into the room. All day and sometimes until 1 am. Also, the smell (smoke) of the firewood oven (good pizza) lingers in the air and can be stronger in room 11. I like the experiences of Mexico so it wasn't a big deal and I sleep well so the music didn't much bother me. But for most people, it probably will. Lastly, only registered guests are permitted after 10 pm. So if you meet a couple of cool people and want to have a drink in the comfortable courtyard, immediately at 10 pm, everyone has gotta go. No exceptions... Overall it was a good experience.
"Horrible - Now called Norman Diego's The Mexican Inn - Avoid!"
01/03/15 Alexis_Fecteau Renton, WA
Avoid! Booked two beds for two people, with confirmation, upon arrival no rooms. That’s where the fun began. They tried to put us up in a nearby hooker hotel/drug den, but we ended up in their unfinished "la case", miles from the Inn and beach. Topped it off by telling us that the full price we were told we paid, didn't include taxes, so – poof – another $100 flew out of the pocket and into the hands of a huckster. But what’s new in Mexico. No hot water, no internet, far from the water. Cucarachas danced throughout the week, mice and other noises in the rafters kept us awake all night. The second bed (In English that means couch) was half covered in black mold, but it was better than the floor and roaches, or the water-stained pullout section of that couch that apparently sat in water for a couple months (based on mold and growth propagation). Locals told us he always books more rooms than he has, and has to send them to other local hotels. The crack den he tried to send us to was like an East German gulag, except for the gentlemen standing at the gate at night in sunglasses asking us “joo want some-ting buddy”? “Joo just come to me”, (ladies, pecker pills, cigars, drugs…). I might grade it satisfactory if I ventured in from the wilderness living off my own urine, however, since I did not, I grade it - 5 outhouses.
"Cabo Inn Hotel"
01/01/15 Dnthehood Fresno, California
This was a last minute reservation for us, due to hurricane Odiel. Our Cabo home resort in San Jose Cabo had to cancel all reservations for their guest because of structurally being damaged. The Cabo Inn Hotel had vacancies for us and it was a very favorable stay. Management was excellent and the hostel featured genuine Mexico authenticity. Saved our family trip and we still enjoyed every minute of our vacation.
"Location, Location, Location!"

Within walking distance of the Marina and the downtown area. Friendly staff, great communal area. Can't beat the price. Rooms were clean, linens old, but clean. Great location for our fishing trip. Would stay here again for a fishing trip, For us it was funky and fun!
12/23/14 Mio W
Super affordable, great location (quiet because it was a couple streets away from the "downtown" of Cabo, but close enough to walk to there), cheap beer, wonderful cruise/activity options in a binder, perfect for couples/friends looking for a nice place to stay without breaking the bank! Would definitely come back!
