"AWWW THOSE CABO NIGHTS"
We arrived at The Cabo Inn not knowing what to expect, we were a little nervous because we had never stayed anywhere but our resort before. It did not disappoint, I mean it is what it is a quaint little joint in the heart of Cabo, we took full advantage of the rooftop pool and lounge area and it didn't take long for the other guests to join in to our […] dance and laughter. I give Cabo Inn a high five, we certainly were not expecting the Hilton but what we got was an amazing expierence at an awesome beautiful little joint. LOVED IT!!! "A little bit of Mexican warmth in a sea of resorts"
I like Mexico and Mexicans - and Cabo Inn es muy de famillia (is very family-like). The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, the hotel was 2 blocks from everywhere, it was clean and safe.Genuine Expedia guest review
Nice location for being close, but not in the action. Lovely setting.Genuine Expedia guest review
"The lovely Cabo Inn"
This is a unique little hotel. Probably not for everyone but if you're searching for quaintness, central location, affordable and lots of personal touches, you are looking for the Cabo Inn. We had the Palapa 2 room which is gorgeous. It has a big patio with a hot tub and lots of greenery. It's a large Palapa room well hidden yet wide open to the world. […] There is a comfortable library and a small pool to cool down in. It's surrounded by a lot of great restaurants and only a couple of blocks from the marina. We spent 7 nights and I would go back there in a heartbeat...just bring your ear plugs! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"inexpensive and close to Marina"
The Cabo Inn Hotel is very basic. it meets your needs but has limited comforts. the hotel is safe and well located, very close to bus stops and Marina and shopping. Bathroom is tiny. room 12 is quite noisy. check out the Polle de Oro down the street. inexpensive and excellent.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"A Real Gem"
What a find. This small family owned hotel in Los Cabos is only a short walk from the beach, restaurants, shopping. Amazing oasis. Too bad Los Cabos is just one continuous high pressure sell zone.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Clean, Safe, Friendly"
My Mom and I were up to a bit of an adventure away from the 5 star, all inclusive easy holiday. The Cabo Inn provided an awesome spot to experience a taste of old Mexico with daily walks to surrounding restaurants and markets. We enjoyed the friendly staff, clean facilities including the library and swimming pool. We both started out in separate, regular […] rooms and then my mom upgraded to the rooftop bungalow. It was a delight for her. She felt like a Queen and has taken home some beautiful photos of her whimsical surroundings. The Cabo Inns' boast is not centered around brand new. It does not claim perfect condition. I have some friends who would only feel comfortable in 4 or 5 star hotels and I would never suggest they stay at the Cabo Inn. On the other hand, if you look for beauty in the colors and textures of Mexico you will find it here. We would go again in a heartbeat. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

It was an inexpensive hotel, so I wasn't expecting a lot. I was really impressed though with the staff, they were very helpful.Genuine Expedia guest review
Excellent 10-15 min walk to beach, malls, marina. Great location. Lots of great character in layout and appearance of building, unique ambience, artful decor. Very economical choice. Felt very safe as a solo female traveller. Got great tips from owner on unique sights and even where to find economical groceries nearby. Bring ear plugs as neighborhood […] traffic can be noisy at night if you are a light sleeper. Very chill and relaxing atmosphere. Really appreciated the experience and would definitely come again!! It was a very good price for the location! And the staff were friendly too. If you're looking for value accommodation right in downtown Cabo, without the associated noise, this is the place.Genuine Expedia guest review

"A disappointing experience"
08/12/14 Bella_Hart San Diego, California
The Cabo Inn is well situated, which is the most positive thing that I can say about it. It had it's charm 20 years ago and has been poorly maintained over the years. Our 1st room was minuscule, no windows, more like a monk's cell. The 2nd room shared a wall with the pizza/sushi restaurant next door and blasted music until the late hours of the night. 1st room had a non-working fridge; 2nd room had no fridge; fridge in common area was very smelly. We were woken up every morning by loud music blaring from delivery trucks and never did get a good night's sleep. I don't like being negative but this was very disappointing.
"Cute place, with old school charm. Just needs a little more..."

We booked Cabo Inn at the end of weeklong stay in Los Cerritos. We really just wanted a no frills place in the center that had a little old-school character. We got that for sure! You can tell Cabo Inn is an original centro place for lodging. It's tucked away off of a grid of busy streets. Getting to the main door/entrance might take a few times driving around the one-way only grid. Despite all the laps you might do trying to find the place, it's kind of nice when you want to take off and go somewhere = you just crawl off the sleepy street and zoom! you're off. Parking is street-only and although there are some reserved spots, you'll be fighting for open curb during certain times of the day. Refer back to the one-way grid pattern: you might have to take some laps to find an open space and then walk over. Small front door entrance opens to a classic courtyard. Reception service was standard. I wouldn't say our greeter was especially enthusiastic. The common space is in the outdoor courtyard: a few small tables and chairs, a TV, and a little strip of a kitchen with silverware, etc. Rooms are fine, but bathroom area was a little tight and took some maneuvering. There wasn't any ventilation, so the shower curtain had seen better days. It was really warm out during our stay so the AC was blasting and a welcome relief (although it smelled moldy). Kind of a bummer when the power went out during the day for a solid stretch of time = no AC, no World Cup. They got the power back up, but the wi-fi was out the rest of the stay. Again, reception person was kind of grumpy about it all when we asked if he had heard any updates on when the wi-fi might be back.. a full day later. I guess there's a "pool" up top, but boyfriend said it was more like a hot tub and the water wasn't looking to clean. Overall, a decent place to hang your hat and put your head to pillow, but I wouldn't expect too much more. A good mix of international travelers was refreshing. It just seems a little bit of oomph here and there can make Cabo Inn really shine

I spent 14 days at that hotel. I was there for diving. Probably the cheapest hotel you can find in town. Just few steps from the marina, the beautiful "Puerto Paraiso" mall, fishing boats and 15 minutes walk from the dive centers. Very well located. I have nothing to say against the staff but the rooms and the amenities need some updates. My room had a small rusty fridge and I couldn't set the AC's temperature because the controller was broken. The room was set with towels and bed sheets having holes in. On the web site it says "free access to great amenities such as free wireless internet, drinking water, a rooftop social pool, coffee, a fish freezer, a full kitchen set-up, our universal gym set, library with reading area, and so much more"... Personally, I haven't seen many of them: Yes there is a pool as large as a Jacuzzi and the kitchen has what you need for cooking including a small double burner but there is neither gym nor fitness gear. About the WiFi in the room... In fact, you never know when you will get it. AT LEAST once a day, the WiFi is down otherwise it's very slow... Absolutely not reliable.
"Real value in Cabo"
Great location, nice staff, surprisingly comfortable and clean room, and good value. I had friends staying at an upscale hotel. I hung out during the day there, and slept in my in town room at night. Great food next door and nearby!

Wonderful small hotel. It's not fancy, but extremely clean and comfortable. Located a couple of blocks from the main 'strip', and close to many authentic Mexican restaurants. Would definitely return in the future.
"Excellent Hotel and Staff"

Cabo Inn is an excellent hotel to stay at while in Cabo San Lucas. Victor, the owner, is very helpful to book tours, give useful insights of the area, and friendly. His parents, Stanley and Maria, are also very helpful in booking tours and friendly. Orneida, an employee, wrote me a detailed and useful email in how to get the correct shuttle from the airport to the hotel. The rooms are attractive and practical with a high quality air conditioner which feels great when it's hot out and one can sleep well. The common area is very warm with tenets and I met a lot of new people over complimentary morning coffee and conversations. The common area has lots of wonderful plants and foliage which bring in a very natural and pleasant feel to the hotel. I also enjoyed the swimming pool on the third floor and relaxed. Another attractive feature of the hotel is it's just a block away from the downtown area, marina, and shopping mall. I highly recommend Cabo Inn for your next visit in Cabo San Lucas. "Cute little place"
07/16/14 jordan r Oakland, California
The Cabo Inn is an unpretentious, cute and charming place that worked just find for my daughter and I on a 6 day visit this June. Plusses: it's not a big commercial resort that could be anywhere, it's real and it's in a real mexican neighborhood; it's cute and has an authentic charm; it's close to everything; it has A/C and comfy (though small) beds; staff are sweet and you won't feel like an ugly american staying here. you feel like you're actually traveling! Coupla minor negatives: rooms are tiny; A/C is loud; the towels are badly needing replacement (ha! i read about it and dismissed it but then there they were, all worn out and stained!); amenities are kinda lacking (but is that what you came for? for cable TV and a big pool?). Overall I would recommend it for anyone who likes an authentic, charming and comfortable place that does not require the ostentatious type of american luxury that has come to take over Cabo.

Staff friendly and helpful. Basic rooms but if you are just looking for a bed because you want to spend your time outside enjoying Cabo then this is your place. Close to the beach, bars, clubs and the pier. Cool little sitting area on the roof complete with an outdoor pool (little but does the job) as well as an outdoor library. Definitely reccommend for backpackers!

"Loved our stay, very helpful staff"

If you are looking for luxurious rooms and great views, this is obviously not the place for you. But this will have everything else, including things that the best resorts do not offer. My boyfriend and I stayed here after a few days in an all inclusive resort on the Corridor and after this stay, and this is way better than any resort. The rooms are small and old fashioned, but I thought it was clean and just what we expected for something this cheap. It was also pretty artsy: we stayed in the Picasso room, and there was a Picasso painted on the wall, kind of cool. We had some mosquito problems in the resort in the Corridor but there were no mosquitoes here. The shower was hot and pressure good, there was a fan as well as air conditioning which is definitely required in Cabo. There were several different receptionists during the 3 days and they were all super helpful. The first guy helped us call a bunch of places because we were looking for tours on a Sunday, and apparently very few tours are available on Sundays. So he called a bunch of different places for us. BTW we stayed at a nice resort before this, and when we needed to urgently contact our tour company that didn't show up on time, the resort charged us 14 pesos per minute to dial from their phone in the lobby. Not only did Cabo Inn receptionist not charge us, but they called the tours for us to find the information and did so repeatedly. Then the next day we realized we were low on sunscreen and the receptionist let us just borrow one for the day. We were pretty grateful because we were on a schedule and probably wouldn't have had time to shop around for sunscreen before going on a fishing trip, during which we were sure to burn. They also had all kinds of games that we borrowed to play during down times. And on the day we left, they told us another guest was leaving for the airport around the same time and coordinated for us to share a cab, which really reduced the fare for everyone. We stayed at two resorts in Mexico before this, and the resort staff has NEVER been this helpful. They may be all manners but when we really needed something they never provided. And in addition to all this, we really liked that there is a kitchen available. We had caught a marlin on a fishing trip and all the restaurants were charging 10-20 to cook it. We though eh it's a fresh fish, it practically cooks itself. So we went back and cooked it on the little gas stove they provided. The kitchen is fully stocked, and there was a little bit of oil, salt and pepper, just enough for us to cook up a delicious plateful. Again, this is something we would not be able to do at another hotel. The common areas are also clean and nice to hang out. If you're looking for a super nice room to stay at and enjoy the view, this is not the place for you. But if you're not high maintenance about your sleep but need a bit of help with everything else, this is way better than any hotel I've ever been at.
