      This is a wonderful place. You turn off the highway a couple of miles from Bar Harbor, drive through some trees until you come to the back of the main building, and turn around to the front. There are a dozen or more rooms opening on to one continuous porch; the rooms are comfortable, with refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker. The view is down across a broad lawn to trees and out to the ocean; there is no interruption of the view. There is a hot-tub, a swimming pool, and equipment for various games. One of the entrances to Acadia National Park is nearby.

      Everything was fine. My wife ran in the Mt. Desert Island Marathon and the location of the hotel is close to the starting line. The friendly manager of the hotel was also running in the race, and we had quite a nice chat while we were checking in. The room had a nice king size bed. It was a bit oversize for the room, but comfortable.

    We arrived on a cold drizzly day. Our suite was cozy & inviting with 2 wing chairs facing a warm fireplace in one room & a comfy sleigh bed in the other..... Althougg this was not a bed & breakfast establishment, good coffee & delicious muffins & yogurt were provided each morning. Staff was very helpful & friendly.     The room was well appointed and fairly modern. The room came with a great patio and was a 5 minute walk from downtown Bar Harbor. The prices was reasonable. I don't see why we wouldn't stay here again next time we go to Acadia. A very nice inn.

    This hotel is situated near the harbor area and shops and dining with quick access to Acadia Park. The hotel is well maintained; we had a room in the "hotel" part. It was quaint, not fancy but clean and reasonable with a large bathroom. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We would stay there again upon our next trip to Bar Harbor.

I went online hoping to find non-chain hotel accomodations in Bar Harbor that were clean and modern and centrally-located, and within walking distance from shopping and eating - and reasonably priced. Bar Harbor Manor was it, and am I ever glad we took the chance. My wife often chooses […] chain hotels for our travel accomodations because she's comfortable with the consistency of their rooms and service.     The room e stayed in ha a great view. It was on the fourth floor. There is no elevator. They notified us offered to give us another room before we could even comment. The room was off alone and very quiet.

    My husband and I planned a mini weekend getaway and picked Bar Harbor Manor. I was not disappointed! It is conveniently located, only a couple blocks from the Harbor and area restaurants. Our room was exceptionally clean and the bathroom was fairly good sized compared to other places we stayed at. I highly recommend Bar Harbor Manor.

    The hotel is close (walking distance) with the main attractions. The receptionist was very nice and helpful. If you look for a quiet, clean and very well positioned hotel for vacation, this will be a very good place to spend time and enjoy your vacation. I recomand it and I will go back soon.

    Nice accomodations and atmosphere. We had a small second floor suite. Location was fine. We just needed a place to get away and relax, enjoy the food, see the great sites, and do some shopping. Booked this without knowing much about Bar Harbor or Maine and it worked-out great.

    We had a huge room in the annex. It was very comfortable and clean with a lovely shower in the bathroom. Being in the annex was no problem - in fact it had the advantage that we could park our hire car right in front of our block. Although there is no breakfast at the hotel, there is a great place a few minutes walk away called Cafe this way.
