This was a great choice for my very quick trip to KL as it put me in the heart of one of the most vibrant districts...Chinatown! My room was on the front of the building and while you can hear the hubbub below, it wasn't enough to keep me from sleeping well. If you are planning to pack tons of luggage or take a taxi to the hotel, this is not the place for you as you will need to walk in from the edges of Chinatown (about 1-1/2 blocks in any direction) due to the mobile stands parked in the middle of the streets and sidewalks selling goods. If you're an adventurous tourist who likes to quickly get to the heart of a city, this is the place for you! Breakfast was great (satisfied both western and eastern appetites), the staff is friendly and helpful in many languages, the room was very nice and comfortable, it's about two or three blocks to a metro station on the main line (going from KL Sentral past most of the sights and out to the fringes), and elevator and free water filling station are small but appreciated perks for the road weary traveler! I would definitely stay here next time I am in KL!

We stayed in KL after a several week trip in Indonesia. We were thrilled with just having a hot shower and Western style breakfast. The hotel is extremely close to the monorail station; there is also lots of sidewalks abound! We found it very easy to walk to the Petronas Towers. Fantastic, high pressure shower. Clean bathroom and room. We would stay here again if in KL.

Stayed for 2 nights during CNY in KL. Location is really excellent. Convenient to Bintang walk and shopping, Petronas towers. I booked a rate that was King OR 2 singles but really wanted a King bed and stated my preference. However, they only had singles due to overbooking of Kings. I understand the policy but in the future I would not book this kind […] of flexible rate with them. The room was OK but the carpets were buckling and the furniture was in need of some repair. "View of the tower and amazing lounge/bar"
We had a tower view room which was amazing! When selecting a room, pick an option that includes access to the business lounge - it's really worth it. You can sign up for it at the hotel as well which is what we did. In the lounge they have free breakfast, plus free drinks and appetizers later in the evening - definitely worth it! The upstairs pool/bar […] is pretty nice too. The breakfast buffet on the fifth floor is one of the best we've had - wide variety of Asian and Indian foods as well as western food. If you sign up for the upstairs lounge, breakfast here is included (at least it was when we signed up). The hotel itself is part of the park with the twin towers - just walk out the side door - there's even a buggy to drive you to the towers if you don't want to walk. Read more
"Fantastics Stay with Amazing View"
The Towers view of the Traders Hotel is absolutely beautiful -- definitely get a towers view and request a high floor (we were on the 23'rd)! But, even if you don't get the Towers side view, you can go into the Sky Bar at night and enjoy the view. Plus, on Friday night it was a nice Club scene with a great DJ -- definitely Club music though the environment […] was one of chilling with some drinks and good company. Luxurious seats line the side of the pool with awesome views of the Petronas Towers! The Bathroom was very luxurious and the Hot showers/bath was awesome! Can't say enough about our experience. Location is excellent, we easily walked across the park in the morning to get tickets for the Petronas Towers tour (show up EARLY at 6:30 am to queue up). Multiple malls (open air and close) are within walking distance. The only downfall is that it can be confusing how to park / enter the hotel upon arrival. However, once you understand it is easy to work around. The actual check-in is located on the 5'th floor (not ground floor). Only concierge is located on the ground floor, so you must pull in to drop off your bags in front -- they will be delivered to your room after check-in -- then go park (or just pay $20 ringit for them to park for your convenience). Finally, you go up to the 5'th floor to check in, and 10 mins later your bags are delivered to your room. But, the concierge was excellent and very useful for directions, map printouts, etc. Can't say enough for our visit to KL! Read more

Lives up the 5 star experience from the moment you step out of the taxi till you leave. Only a few minor cravats regarding the organization of their lobby, but once you figure it out, everything is ok. Check in and registration desks are on the 5th floor, concierge is on the 1st floor. Confusing, since they don't communicate well with each other. At […] checkout, registration person was quick to say "Bags are already at the concierge", when it was apparent he had NO clue if they actually were. Concierge apparently also had no clue if we had finished checking out, so the communication was up to me. No problem, but we had to unnecessarily wait for our bags due to this tedious process. Outside of this minor, and possibly isolated incident, the overall stay actually met my expectations. The hotel looks and feels new, and the only time you can tell its aging is in the rooms, due to the almost negligible residual rust or discoloration from dampness on certain areas in the bathroom (tropical country after all). (oh, and the strangely cracked tiles due to poorly designed bathroom. Who designed this thing? getting to the towel rack is like a safari expedition...) Hotel gets aces for location, right on the park, next to the convention center, and across from the Petronas Towers. BUT, if you wanted to go elsewhere, you realize, the hotel is tucked away behind the convention center. Again, just a bit confusing. "Traders Hotel - Watch out they will rip you off"
Watch out for the Taxis, especially the ones the hotel gets for you. I was taken for a 40 minute ride to my destination, but the return was 12 minutes in a legitimate taxi. When I complained to the hotel management they defended the taxi, but refunded the cab fare. I would have to say that the service at this hotel is poor. The view of the Twin Towers […] is wonderful. The place was clean and well maintained. The roof bar was very expensive ($25 for a drink and a beer, similar to the Plaza in New York), and the service is bad. A glass was broken at my table and when we called them over they took the broken glass away but did not wipe up the spilled drink off the table. Although I recommend this hotel for the view and the cleanliness, I would have to suggest that you be fully aware that they will rip you off every chance they get. Read more

As expected and review, the hotel provided a good quality services for us. The location is good, next to KLCC (u can walk pass the garden to there ), however, the other side of the hotel is a lit bit 'deep' from the outside, good for privacy, just a lit bit annoying by those taxi drivers... not many taxi comes in. Even the hotel provide the blue & […] comfortable taxi services, however, it fee is double as other taxi... A lit bit confuse for the cleaning services, when we returned back to the hotel, we found there's a card said due to our request for privacy, they don't clean our room...but we can call the services central to ask for cleaning... We didn't know there's a option for this 'request' , and we didn't put the request for....so maybe a lit bit instruction next time will be better... The bill which sent from buffet breakfast to the check out counter was a lit bit delay, probably due to they don't use the computer system to transfer it at the same time :P Still really happy with this hotel, will definitely rekon to other people. The biggest selling point is the twin tower, u can see that from ur window, as long as u pick the tiwn tower view....took a lot of pic :) BTW, the KLCC shopping center has great food and shops! It's no wonder this hotel maintains the highest customer satisfaction rating in KL. The location must be the finest of any hotel in the city - splurge on a tower view room; you won't regret it. I also found the premium for a Traders Club room well worth it - the breakfast was nice (you could enjoy a large continental spread in the club with eggs cooked […] to order or go to the large buffet in the 5th floor restaurant (very crowded however)) and cocktail hour was well catered with substantial nibbles and an open bar. Ordered room service one night for dinner and it was quite tasty and quickly delivered - a great bargain too! Location was fine - a five-minute walk through KLCC park to the Suria Mall and Petronas Towers; five minutes further to the KLCC metro station. My wife and I stayed at Traders on our way to Bali and we both wished we had planned to stay longer. The hotel is very trendy and is great for the price. We did have time to enjoy the pool, restaurant and some of the spa facilities and were happy with all of them. I would definately stay at Traders the next time I am in KL.

Two individual friends "insisted" that I should stay at Traders in Kuala Lumpur, and I am glad I did! Very nice hotel 4-5 min walk from KLCC and Petronas Towers, but still only 15 min walk to Changkat area and Chinatown for great food stalls and local food. Nice pool and Sky Bar on the 33rd floor with a great view of the twin towers. But the MYR 67 […] breakfast seems a bit expensive, and there are many decent places to eat breakfast at KLCC. Traders also have a free electric shuttle buggy service between the hotel and KLCC. I can also recommend spending MYR 280 on a "Freedom" full hour body massage at the hotel spa - very good indeed! My wife and I stayed at the Traders Hotel in Kuala Lumpur for the last two nights of our recent Malaysian holiday and what a wonderful experience it was for us! It was just great that we reserved the best for last. Not that the three other hotels that we stayed in (in Ipoh, Penang and Malacca) prior to arriving at Kuala Lumpur were that bad but the […] staff at the Traders Hotel just won us over the moment we stepped off our taxi with their warm and friendly welcome. We were directed to the 32nd floor where we received the friendliest check-in process we have ever experienced. They also gave us a comprehensive explanation of the services that were available to us. We were given a beautiful room on the 27th floor facing the Petronas Towers. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves with the friendly service being displayed at all times, whether it be at breakfast, afternoon tea or dinner (at the Gobo Upstairs Lounge). The well-trained and friendly staff made all the difference and we really look forward to coming back to the Traders Hotel when we next visit Kuala Lumpur and we certainly have no hesitation in recommending our friends to stay there.
