It's no wonder this hotel maintains the highest customer satisfaction rating in KL. The location must be the finest of any hotel in the city - splurge on a tower view room; you won't regret it. I also found the premium for a Traders Club room well worth it - the breakfast was nice (you could enjoy a large continental spread in the club with eggs cooked to order or go to the large buffet in the 5th floor restaurant (very crowded however)) and cocktail hour was well catered with substantial nibbles and an open bar. Ordered room service one night for dinner and it was quite tasty and quickly delivered - a great bargain too! Location was fine - a five-minute walk through KLCC park to the Suria Mall and Petronas Towers; five minutes further to the KLCC metro station. Would certainly book this hotel again without any hesitation.

The hotel itself is perfect for tourists and I would assume business travelers as well. The rooms are very large with very nice bathrooms. I have nothing bad to say about this hotel. If I am ever back in KL I will definitely stay at Traders. I will also consider this chain if I am in other places were they have hotels.

The hotel was very clean, staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the service was excellent. Breakfast is a must. I was very impressed with the quality and variety of food. Much more than the normal continental breakfast offered by most hotels. There is a beautiful park beside the hotel with a magnificent shopping centre by the Petrona Towers. Excellent taxi service outside hotel.

The only downside to the whole experience was the speed of the internet. Whether by cable or by wireless it was painfully slow. Despite this, however, I cannot think of a better place to stay in KL. I stayed one night in the Traders Hotel and found it to be an excellent hotel. Having travelled into KL on public transport to KLCC I gratefully jumped on the free shuttle trolley that runs from KLCC Suria to the hotel. Check-in on arrival was quick and efficient. My room was situated on the 15th floor by the lifts, initially I was concerned that this may be a little noisy however my concerns were totally unfounded the room was peaceful throughout my stay. I had a good sized room with king sized bed, lcd tv, seating area by the full length windows and a great bathroom with separate rain-style shower and bath. The only in-hotel facilities I used was the gym which was well-equipped with a good range of cv equipment, free and fixed weights. The whole hotel was spotless and the staff were genuinely helpful and friendly. I thought the location was particularly good being right in KLCC. This area has a more relaxed feeling than Bukit Bintang or China town making a pleasant area to have a drink or meal and of course right by the iconic Petronas Towers. and KLCC shopping centre. Public transport is easily accessible but it's easy to walk round the main sights.

On our first visit to KL, this hotel was an ideal choice. Excellent service from an efficient and friendly staff (eg opening up the business centre at 2 in the morning to enable us to book our flight seating) Our room was city view (not garden view overlooking Petronas Towers, which cost more) but we did not regret making this saving. Fabulous views of these Towers can easily be seen from the bar or the sky lounge. This latter would not be to everyone's taste, with loud pounding techno-style music detracting from the laid-back pool-side, cushioned ambiance, and the narrow walkway over the exposed pool to the best seating is not for the unsteady (or inebriated!). Our room was extremely well equipped, and very well sound-proofed, making for great sleeping. Drinks and food were pricey, so we did not utilize very much. Overall, we would definitely stay here again

This is the third time I have stayed at The Traders, and all three times have been a thoroughly enjoyable experience. The rooms, gym, and meals are just excellent. The breakfast room and its offerings must be seen to appreciate. Its location next to the Suria KLCC shopping center, and the tram that takes you there, are extremely convenient. Last, but certainly not least, is the service. These people really know how to run a hotel, and are there for every beck and call. If there is one ding, it would be its club -- excellent view of the Petronas Towers, but the smoke and the booming music overwhelm the sensual experience.

Only drawback was pool & spa were under construction, it was not advertised and we had to be taxied (free) to a sister hotel (which was more upscale. I recently stayed at the Traders Hotel on Kuala Lumpur. It is very well maintained and in a great location, approximately 10 minutes walk from the Petronas Towers and the very large and modern shopping mall and movie theater at the base of the towers. Because of the heat, many buildings are connected with underground or above ground tunnels, and KL is the same. In the base of the Petronas Towers is the link to the metro, and so in about 20 minutes, one can be on the metro and get to the old part of the city, which is fun as well. This part has a distinctly different character from KLCC (Kuala Lumpur Convention Center, to which the hotel is attached by an above ground walkway and the name of the region in general.) Additionally, the roof of the Traders Hotel is home to the Sky Bar, which is fairly upscale, but also fun and offers great views of the Petronas Towers at night. For the amount of money I paid, I was more than extremely satisfied. One thing, though, for whatever reason, seemingly everyone in KL prefers to move around via cab or car and so the traffic is horrendous. The concierge often said it was easier to take a cab, but I often got stuck in traffic, so I would recommend a good map and water and walking. It is much faster and generally easier, plus the air quality was quite good when I was there, end of August, typically one of the worst times.

The only negative I would have to say would be when we asked to book a taxi to go on to Frasers' Hill, they first quoted us a price, then added MYR 100 on top then wanted to charge an extra MYR 100 until we kicked up a fuss, so I would say, if you get them to book anything, make sure it is done in writing.
