The Cove On Ormond Beach

A few things you should know is that this is not a hotel, it is a time share which they rent out to you. There is no daily straightening up of your room or replenishing of your towels, tiolet paper,or other usual supplied items. You will have to go to the main desk in the lobbly to trade out your towels or to ask for another roll of t-paper. These are […] not dreadful faults and the staff is way above average in kindness but it was annoying since they would only give one roll per day when we had a reservation for nine days; obviously, we would be using several rolls during our stay. We also decided to just wash and dry our own towels since the washer/dryer were in the room. Overall, the stay was pleasant, the walls were thick enough not to hear anyone in the room next door but we could hear chairs moving above us. The appliances were in good order and everything was there to cook almost any meal. The biggest plus to us was the washer/dryer in the room. We could keep our clothes clean and beach towels dried for the next day. Overall, a good stay for us and extremely family oriented for children with a great pool area, the slide was especially enjoyable to the young ones. Read more

This is a condo so no housekeeping service, not a problem for me. The room and pool areas were terrific. I stayed in the north tower, one bedroom. The biggest problem was the noise, the walls are extremely thin and we had neigbors that stayed up very late. You can also hear chairs dragging across the floor above. Ours had a washer /dryer in the room also. views are not direct beach views as the building sits sideways however we did have a decent beach view from our balcony. The room and facility provided a great trip for our family and the lazy river pool with slide was a hit with our son....FYI the deck around the pool is thick paver stones and can get quite hot. we totally enjoyed staying here. The only downfall was them selling time shares, but i have to say they were not pushy in their trying to sell at all. They do offere a great benefit to listen to their sales pitch, which we did not do. Next time i think i would. If you have young children, this is a great and fun place for them to stay. We had a wonderful time at The Cove. We had 4 adults and my 2 children in a 2 bedroom condo in the North Tower. It was spacious enough that we didn't feel cramped and it was very clean. My children loved the water park and slide, and our views of the ocean from both of our balconies were fantastic. Also the beach is absolutely amazing. Very pleased with our decision to stay at the south tower at The Cove on Ormond Beach! The reviews are generally right on for this one. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the building itself has been very well maintained. The only complaints we had was the fact that the south tower only had one elevator. There was a bit of a wait at times but nothing too major. The second complaint was the fitness room. They even offered activities (like mini spas and massages, clay art, cupcake decorating, etc.) and food throughout the day to those who wanted to take part in them. Beware if you are a smoker. They don't even let you smoke on the outside balcony. They have an area out front by the door for smokers with only one chair. Also thought we were booking an ocean front room. They don't have any.

My family loved our two bedroom suite. The beds were comfotable and the rooms were very clean. I was even surprIsed to find that there was NO mold in the bathrooms. The kids loved the pools, the waterslide and the games the staff put on poolside. The location is great...minutes from daytona boardwalk and other must-see sights. We will back again!!

I loved the one bedroom condo at the Cove. The location was great. The only problem was that the hotel is not oceanfront. It is ocean VIEW and I specifically wanted an oceanfront hotel so we could look out over the sand and ocean. But everything else was great.

This was a great location for family fun. We have stayed here before and were not disappointed with this stay. Being right on the beach was a huge positive for evening walks. While the condo is on a busy street, the noise level was totally acceptable even with the patio doors open. It is definitely on our list for a return stay.

We were looking for lodging that was just outside the craziness of Daytona Beach during spring break. Ormond Beach was just the ticket. Bikers week was the week prior to when we arrived. We arrived on Sunday night 4.18.12 after driving a couple of days from Minneapolis. I knew we wanted a place with a kitchen, pool and was on the beach. The Cove on […] Ormond Beach was fantastic. We were in the south tower in a 1 bedroom unit that overlooked the Atlantic. They have both an indoor and outdoor pool. The outdoor pool had a water slide and jacuzzi. The Cove put out lounge chairs on the beach with umbrellas. First come first serve. You need to go to the front desk and get beach towels which you sign in and out on a daily basis. Bring your sunscreen! We upgraded to VIP status by agreeing to attend a 45 minute timesharing presentation. It was worth it. The Cove has several activities/breakfast or lunch offerings that are available to VIP's free of charge. There was a Publix grocery store about a mile south of the facility which was very convenient. Our room had an over and under washer/dryer which we used every day. They stock the room with dish and dishwasher soap, 3 rolls of tp and a roll of paper towels so depending on your stay you may need to buy more. Bring your own shampoo. Look up Mike at the Conceirge desk he was VERY helpful. He had great ideas for things to do in the area. The price was right and we had a wonderful stay. We would return again. Read more

Three of us stayed in complete comfort in this hotel. Accomodations were spacious, beds were probably the most comfortable I have slept on at any hotel in the past 3 years! It was nice having a kitchen too. The staff provided dedicated bike parking, not covered, but at least they roped off a good portion of the lot to accomodate. They also allowed […] for one vehicle OR trailer. Understanding that in order to accomodate every gues they could not allow for both vehicle and trailer, this was totally acceptable. Staff also had a good lead on a third party for extra parking, which was expensive ($20/day), but again, very acceptable. We did not use any of the amenities so I cannot comment on that. Next year I'll try to find a place with covered parking for the bikes, but if I cannot find it then I will definitely come back here!! Read more

The cove at Ormaond Beach was a fantastic stay. I was upgraded at no charge and completely by suprise. The room was spacious and clean. Jennifer at the desk took care of me like I had been a loyal customer for 10 years . . . that's how you get loyal customers for 10 years! There was not one staff member I encountered that did not smile and say "Hello" […] or tell us to "Have a Good Day." When the Daytona was cancelled on Sunday, Jennifer and the manager on duty went out of their way to get us another night's stay at a discounted rate. We got an ocean view room but it was really close to being ocean front! Very nice views and comfortable for our family's stay! Loved it! The staff even recognized us and called us by name, and were extremely helpful! Was upgraded at checkin to a 2 bedroom( King and 2 Doubles). Nice full kitchen, large fridge, 3 good quality TV's, 2 balconies facing w/ ocean views. Very nice MB w/ 2 person jacuzzi tub and seperate shower plus a jetted tub/shower in 2nd bedroom. Can't comment on pool and deck as it was closed for repair all 9 days I was there.

We were only there for two days - ahead of our time share an another resort. The rules and regulations remind you of a prison camp - clean up after yourself - but practically cleaning the room before your 10AM required departure […] - is ridiculous - plus the fines for "noncompliance". If you do not turn in your beach/pool towel by 9PM of the same day - $10 fine for each towel. (No consideration if you are conservative and will use it the next day.) Animals - we do not travel with animals on flights - but found it curious from their information on the animal rules: "Absolutely no pets allowed, with the exception of service animals. If a pet is found to be in your villa, you will be assessed a $100 fee. You must remove the animal from the premises within one hour and fine alternative accommodations. You must present a kennel receipt to the front desk. You will be billed fro cleaning the carpets, drapes, furniture, upholstery, and bedspreads. You will be billed by an extermination company to perform an extermination of the villa. This is the 4th stay of a week or more at the Cove and we had a nice time. The location on the beach is great, and it seems to be in a quiet area, although this was the shoulder season for us. We like the room, which was in good shape. The indoor pool area could use a refresh, as things are getting a bit rusty in there.

Everything was fantastic - the only complaint was only one parking spot assigned per room, additional vehicles had to be stored off site even though there was a lot of unused parking spots. We stayed in the North Tower so this review is based on the North Tower. I did not go in the South Tower which must be where the photos on their website were taken. The North Tower is in dire need of repairs. There were broken floor and wall tiles throughout. The elevators were in disrepair. The shower stall in our room looked like it has been there […] for 50 years (though I'm sure it has been less). The grout in the tiles was stained and dirty, the door was rusty and leaked every time we showered. The area rug in the room should be thrown away!!! The kitchen utensils, pots and pans were the cheapest one can buy. The coffee maker was stained and old. The freezer had a problem because although it made ice, there was a layer of water frozen on the bottom. This place just needs a lot of overdue renovation. Although the proximity to the beach and the pool area were great, I would not stay there again nor would I recommend it. Read more

Great hotel for the money. We took our two young (1yr and 4yr) children. We were on the back of the building but still had a great ocean view so it's safe to say all rooms have a great view. The staff was great, the room was clean and a good layout. The hotel condition is fair, but once you get to the room it steps up, which wasn't an issue for us. […] The hotel wasn't dirty, but was just what you would expect from a place that has kids running in and out. The beach was also clean and not to crowded. Overall, we had a very good time. We'll most likely go back to this place. In and Out is easy, they have luggage carts for your use. The actual hotel has a lot of stuff going on for the family and is kid oriented. I was surprised to see the calendar of stuff they were doing out by the pool or beach for the kids. My only complaint was the elevators were a bit slow but not a problem. Oh, and the pool; GREAT pool. Look at it on Google Maps.. you'll see that they have "THE" pool on the strip. The water slide was "fun park" class. Really great. As for the surrounding area, no issues. People were jogging the streets and the beach. There are not a lot of touristy spots right near you but within 5-10 you can find a bunch. Daytona is close by if you really want to get out to eat or party. Read more
