Traveling with two little kids (5 & 1), we had the junior suite. It was very clean and spacious (paris hotels are notorious for small rooms). Staff were very accomodating, friendly and helpful. Location is great with the RER and metro right outside doorsteps. Starbucks just outside, two malls within blocks and a good shopping area while most major sites are within 30 minute walking. Reccomend.

The room was a little small but had twin beds, desk, chair, closet, and luggage stand. The windows opened and there was a fan available in the room if needed. Good cafes in the neighborhood. Metro station very close. We would use this hotel again.

This was our second stay at Hotel de Vendome and it topped the excellent experience that we enjoyed in November 2010. We were upgraded to a corner deluxe suite for an anniversary trip and welcomed with red rose petals in the room. Every detail of the hotel is first class with a very warm and friendly staff. Breakfast in the room every morning was a luxury followed by a walk in the Tuileries just a block from the hotel. If you're looking for the ultimate elegant boutique Parisian hotel, then you'll find it here. We'll be coming back to this one again. Bon voyage.

Good service and a decent area, very convinent location with a market of all food and goods! 2 mins walk from metro! Just a little far from center paris! Good service and polite reception!

we stayed there for two nights. Rooms are small, but it seems that is the standard of almost every hotel in Paris. The room was very clean, modern amenities, with little LED lights (even in the shower head !!) that was very nice touch. The staff is absolutely fantastic. I only have two little remarks: when we got the room, they were wonderful "L'occitane" […] products (rather expensive) in the shower on the first day (small douche gel and shampoo). We used up the products the first day. They did not put new ones in the shower on the second day...do not know why ? Also, the UP channel button on TV remote was not working properly, not big deal... The WIFI worked flawlessly. Besides the little details, I would suggest the hotel to every one staying in Paris. Metro station was a few blocks away, not too far. "Super trendy boutique hotel"
Small but extremely well appointed rooms. Super comfortable bed, clean & modern bathroom with lots of "extras" like the aromatherapy scented rooms, cute little balcony, LED showers, L'occitane bath products, free wi-fi and many others. The hotel staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful.

"Scary Small"
My wife and I stayed at this hotel during our honeymoon and loved the location but the room was so small it was uncomfortable. As Americans we are used to thinking the hotel rooms in Europe are small but this room was so small we had to store our luggage at the front desk. The staff was helpful and spoke English, location to Metro convenient, the Wi-Fi […] signal was strong in our room, and the design of the hotel was great but the size of the room ruined the experience for us. We literally could not walk past each other in the room without somebody having to sit on the bed to make room. Read more

This was the best hotel we stayed at in Europe. The staff was great! We had rose pedals on our bed and it was very modern. Breakfast was also first class, European style. The price was right. Stay here if you can.

My husband and I found this hotel in a Frommer's guide to Paris. After staying in hostels and cheaper hotels while travelling, The Five hotel was a wonderful end to our trip. Staff was incredibly nice and helpful (helped us choose a romantic and memorable spot for our last night in Paris). They also spoke English very well. The lobby, rooms, and the […] general ambiance were all fantastic. The rooms were comfortable and clean (smelled fantastic, too!). The bathroom is quite small but perhaps had the coolest shower experience in Paris with the LED lights and color changing shower-head. The only drawback was the location to the Metro. If the Metro is how you are travelling around Paris, The Five is quite a walk to the nearest station (almost 20 minutes). Not the biggest deal and it shouldn't deter you from staying in this very cool hotel in a beautiful and quiet area of Paris. Read more

The Five Hotel is in a great location - close to the Latin Quarter and St Germain de Pres. Although the nearest Metro is probably a 10 minute walk away. "A great little hotel"
A great hotel in a lovely neighbourhood. A medium walk – 30 or 40 minutes – to many of the big sights or a short walk -10 mins- to Les Gobelins or Place d'italie Metro stops. We booked the hotel while there was a 40% discount on the room which made our budget holiday a lot easier. Maybe wouldn't have been able to afford if without the discount. Prisen er for høy beliggenhet og avstand til "sentrum" av Paris-severdighetene tatt i betraktning. Litt missvisende annonse om avstand til severdighetene.Lote men greit nyrenovert rom av god standard. Resepsjonen var under ombygging og gjorde førsteinntrykket dårlig.

Das Hotel ist sauber, das Personal ist freundlich. Leider sind die Zimmer (zumindest das was ich hatte) jedoch sehr klein. Als Alleinreisender war es okay, aber zu zweit wäre das Zimmer definitiv zu klein gewesen. Nett sind die Designideen (Sternenhimmel über dem Bett und im Badezimmer), aber das tröstet nicht über das viel zu kleine (zu kurz und für […] 2 zu schmal) Bett hinweg, und auch nicht darüber, dass dieses total durchgelegen war. Der Duschkopf hat zwar bei Wasserlauf in vielen Farben geleuchtet, aber fiel ständig runter und was sogar noch undicht, so dass wasser unkontrolliert durch die Gegend spritzte. Das Frühstück für einen stolzen Preis war ein Witz. Nur Crossaints, nahezu kein Aufschnitt, Obstsalat... Da hat das farbenfrohe Geschirr auch nix geholfen. Das Hotel liegt 10-15 Gehminuten von der nächsten RER Station weg, das war ganz hilfreich. Bushaltestelle ist direkt vor dem Gebäude, Metro Station in die andere Richtung 5 Gehminuten entfernt. Hotellet har små rum men ändå inte för små. Skicket är mycket bra och likaså servicen. Trevlig personal som alltid hälsar med ett leende. Rummet vi fick var stilfullt och modernt! Eftersom det inte finns så stort antal rum på hotellet så tycker jag att det blir en mer familjär känsla än om det hade varit 300 rum med en jättelobby och det är positivt. […] Läget är bra men kunde varit lite bättre. Jag hade gärna haft lite kortare avstånd till exempelvis st.michels torget där många restauranger och uteställen finns. Avståndet till metron är ca 5 minuters gångväg och inte långt från hotellet i riktning mot floden ligger en gågata och det mysiga torget vid Rue Mouffetard med cafe och små butiker. Read more

Nous avons eu la "chance" d'une confusion dans notre réservation et par ce fait nous avons été surclassé dans une suite, pour nous c'était une affaire, mais compte tenu du tarif réel je le trouve un peu excessif au regard de la taille des chambres. "un hotel magique"
Le personnel très sympatique sait rester discret. Le décor des escaliers et de l'ascenseur ne sont qu'un petit avant gout avant la découverte de la chambre. L'hotel n'étant pas complet le jour de notre venu, le personnel a surclassé notre chambre et nous avons donc dormi dans la supérieur à baldaquins.
