Hotel is a little scruffy and run down. Cleanliness issues, especially bathroom. Sitting on the bedspread (which I never do and certainly won't do again), I found a tick on my thigh. I cannot say for sure that I got it in the room and not outside somewhere, but the thought of more lurking around made me twitchy all night. We only stayed one night. I was very disappointed that after arriving home from a wedding at 1:30 am, my key card did not work on either the in or out door. Breakfast was not looking very appetizing so we went to Friendly's. Other than these 2 things, it was fine.

A decent place to stay in Falmouth that is located on main road, convenient to nearby attractions and waterfront. A colleague and I stayed there because we were visiting Woods Hole. I chose this hotel because it was inexpensive. Because I was going to be at a wedding, I didn't need something super nice as I wasn't really going to be there. I've stayed in a lot of cheep hotels but this one was among one of the lowest IMHO. The room I stayed in did not have weather stripping to the outside deck - light could clearly be seen coming […] through the door. The evenings were quite cold and I had to use duck tape to cover the door crack so as to keep the room at a comfortable temp. The bathroom was clean enough for my standards but it was clear that the bedside table had not been wiped clean for a while as there was sticky residue of something along the corner of it. I could not use the phone to call the front desk because the key pad was sun bleached so badly I could not tell what any button was. It is clear this is an older hotel and in need of repair. For the price i payed they should have payed me to stay there the soda machines were broken the ice from the ice machines came out dirty and with some rust it took atleast a good 10 minutes for the hot water to run and actualy get hot water. When the b & b we had booked lost power after Hurricane Irene, we felt lucky to find a room on Cape Cod over Labor Day weekend -- and even luckier when we saw how well-kept the property was and how conveniently it was located. Hotel was clean, but there were some chips on the bottoms of cabinet doors. Room keys did not work, had to return to desk, again did not work. Left for visit and keys worked upon our return. Pools looked good but did not have time to use. Continental breakfast was typical. For Cape Cod on a summer weekend, rate was good.

We reserved admiralty Suite (2 King beds) and boy we were pleasantly surprised to find that the two beds were on separate floors within the same suite. Also Jacuzzi in the bathroom was perfect to relax our muscles after a all day walk/bike tour.
