"Very nice stay"
The hotel is very cosy with extremely service minded staff who made us feel welcome and who pointed to the highlights of Cape Cod for us to get the most of our short stay. The hotel is very recommendable.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Absolut professionelle Betreuung während dem Aufenthalt. Gutes, reichhaltiges Frühstück. Nettes Zimmer mit etwas zu kleinem Bad. Gemütliche Einrichtung in und am Haus.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Didn't enjoy our stay"
Though charming from the outside, we weren't impressed with our room (oak room) We have stayed at a couple of inns and B&Bs in New England now, and this room was much too austere for our taste: sparsely furnished with a glaring ceiling lamp. I guess what you pay is what you get, though we got the impression most rooms were furnished like ours.Though […] the room was littered with notes wishing us a pleasant stay and encouraging us to ask anything we needed from reception, when we asked for a second bedside reading lamp, we were bluntly told no. There was also only one night stand, and no real place to sit because of two sloping ceilings. The bathroom was across the hall (private) which is not very convenient. As another reviewer mentioned, there was some mold and rust, otherwise it was clean and comfortable enough. Breakfast was alright; some fresh pastry and fruit and cereal, more like a hotel chain breakfast rather than a B&B's. The real upside of this inn was its location: halfway cape cod and next to the national park visitor centre.
"Repeat visit to first-class B&B on the Cape"
03/26/15 Frank S Salem, Connecticut
This was our third visit to Inn at the Oaks in Eastham, MA on Cape Cod, MA almost directly across Route 6 from the main entrance to the Cape Cod National Seashore. This inn's best feature is the friendly and welcoming staff, whose main goal is to ensure a memorable stay. They have succeeded in this three times for us. The Inn itself is a combination of an old house, onto which they have grafted an attractive addition with more modern accommodations, without sacrificing any of the ambiance or charm of the original building. The grounds and furnishings are all top shelf, and the continental breakfast each day is plentiful and delicious--fresh fruit, lots of baked goodies, yogurt, cereal, juice and coffee. Don't miss the home-made cookies with coffee in the afternoon. Plus, if you are not familiar with the Cape, they have organized extensive materials on local attractions, restaurants, bike shops and things to do, both in Eastham and neighboring towns. They will also answer any questions. Finally, they have a small store where they sell their coffee mugs, soup bowls, tote bags and many other items. They do allow pets as well, and we have met many nice folks through our stays here as well. We have enjoyed every visit and will return at the next opportunity.
"Warm, inviting and so Relaxing"

We stayed at Inn at the Oaks because they allow pets. It was wonderful. The staff was so nice and friendly. We met some really nice folks there and actually met some people that we intend to keep in touch with. The first floor room was clean and comfortable. My only concern about the Garden Room is that it is tiny. It has enough room for one person and a pet, but two adults and a pet, we were cramped. Bathroom very small and shower very small and tight. However, it is a very small sacrifice for the cleanliness, friendliness and warmth of the staff. Nice Continental breakfast. Nice assortment of freshly cut fruit each morning. We would definitely stay there again and look forward to it!

We have traveled all over the world and have actually never stayed in a Bed and Breakfast, and I'm so glad I finally gave it a try. Beautiful place, comfortable beds, and wonderful place to stay if you have pets.
"Pleasant stay - Did not want to leave!"
12/14/14 Michele G Ballston Spa, New York
For the first time away for Thanksgiving and bringing our dogs to the Cape we found a gem staying at the Inn at the Oaks. The Sail Loft Suite was perfect. Meeting people who brought their dogs to the inn was fun. The morning breakfast was more, than adequate, especially being gluten free; yogurt, fresh fruit and coffee! Very comfortable. Wish we were able to enjoy the deck, but the weather was not accommodating. We truly did not want to leave. The inside of the inn and the rooms upstairs were lovely, definitely a place to relax and enjoy the Cape!
"2nd Time Around"
11/18/14 Stefanie D NJ
This was our 2nd stay at the Inn at the Oaks this year. We first visited in June and we returned in November. We stayed in the Carriage House and loved the privacy. This 2nd stay we spent more time at the inn than the first time we stayed. We enjoyed the use of the fire pit outside, but a light rain forced us to seek shelter inside. We utilized the fireplace in the lounge area and sat fireside with a glass of wine. We loved our stay and Kelly was most helpful.

Spent the chilly, fall weekend at the Inn at the Oaks to celebrate our anniversary and it was excellent. The staff is very kind and very accommodating. The room was quaint and exactly as pictured. Everything seemed to be well maintained and decorations were a nice balance between period and cape. Location was perfect. Only desire would have been better pillows.

We spent two nights in the ground floor room with a private entrance -- was small, especially the bathroom, but exactly as pictured and very clean/comfortable. The location was perfect for exploring that area of Cape Cod and points north, and the staff was offered excellent restaurant recommendations. As noted in a previous review, the breakfast offered was cold -- would have preferred something warm, but the daily sweet bread was very good and the fresh fruit a treat. Having a access to a shared refrigerator made the stay even more pleasant for us as we like to read and have a snack before going to bed.
"Charming without being fussy"

I generally avoid B&Bs because they tend to be frilly and precious. Inn at the Oaks, however, was understated and classic, with clean lines and simple antique furnishings. Nary a ruffle in sight. It was also impeccably clean and in perfect repair. The grounds are lovely, the breakfast plentiful and delicious, and the staff friendly and accommodating. In short, a fabulous place at a favorable price.
"Lovely but there is traffic noise"
10/19/14 naturelover320 Saint Paul, Minnesota
This is a lovely, well maintained and appointed captain's house with a number of areas to sit quietly and enjoy a book or a pretty room. Breakfast is the same daily and is a cold breakfast: yogurt, cold cereal, and a quick-bread that changes daily. The highlight for me was a medley of fresh fruit (blueberries, pineapple, melons, etc.) also served daily. Each afternoon fresh coffee and tea is available along with home baked - style cookies. There are lots of guides available to help in choosing what to do on the Cape and staff are helpful in making suggestions and giving directions. There is one computer available with internet. The inn is about a half mile from the Salt Pond Visitor's Center which leads to Coast Guard Beach. First Encounter Beach is also very close. It generally is a very convenient location for someone visiting the outer cape. The only drawback for me was the inn's location on the highway. I've had a room in the front and at the back of the inn and in both, heard more road noise than I'd like. The road noise is unavoidable when sitting outside on the beautiful porch.
"A Lovely Weekend Retreat"
10/14/14 sshattuck Boston, Massachusetts
My wife's 80 year old father requested a weekend visit to Cape Cod. As a young man he had honeymooned there 60 years ago, and had returned on numerous occasions throughout his life. We wanted to find a location to stay that would give us easy access to some of his favorite spots on the outer Cape....something between P-Town and Chatham. After a little research we came across Inn at the Oaks. What a lucky find! The inn itself is beautiful. Our guest rooms were quite spacious and well appointed. The common areas of the house were quite attractive, with lots of little nooks and crannies for quiet conversations and privacy, if desired. We took full advantage of the fireplace in the livingroom ( it was a cold night in early October), and enjoyed several glasses of wine and a rousing game of Scrabble. The continental breakfast each morning was quite satisfying, and helped to fortify us for each day's adventures. The staff were always available to answer questions, and went out of their way to make sure that we were comfortable. We enjoyed sight-seeing trips down to the Chatham, up to Provincetown, and everywhere in between. The location of the Inn at the Oaks could not have been better. The fact they they are literally down the street from Coast Guard Beach ( our favorite beach on all of Cape Cod) was a bonus. It was too cold for a swim, but we certainly enjoyed watching the seals playing in the surf. That was quite a spectacle! We are all looking forward to our next stay at the Inn at the Oaks.
