The hotel's own website seems to understate its excellent location, as it has an opening into the main street of Sorrento just a short walk from the main square. It is within walking distance of the scenic old mill, the train station, the marina (with its outstanding seafood restaurants) and its stunning views of the bay of Naples and the hillside villas and hotels of Sorrento. The staff was very accommodating to our special needs, allowing us to leave our luggage and to use its restroom facilities even after we had checked out. Also, the price of the rooms was reasonable. Our party did not take the advice of the female night clerk who recommended that we eat at the restaurant next door; instead, we ate at Ristorante Delfino at the marina (which I also highly recommend).

Very happy with Hotel Sorrento City. Staff spoke excellent English and were extremely helpful. Room was very comfortable with the only drawback being the TV in the room had only one Engligh speaking channel (MTV...ugh). Excellent location and easy to find right on the main street near the train station. Very good breakfast and free Wi-Fi included which worked very well in the room. Highly recommend Hotel Sorrento City.

We were going back to Charlotte NC. From the moment tbat we steped into the lobby area, We were greeted, taken care of. The hotel management to the person that carried our baggage to our room I felt that I was coming back to friends. I will stay at this hotel when ever I am in Naples. It was an outstanding short stay. What a palace.

This was the best hotel stay in Italy as we traveled from Milan to Amalfi. The views of the coast and Capri Island were incredible. It is close to Sorrento and I would highly recommend this hotel.

Absolutely gorgeous hotel. We stayed in room with view of Capri island. Staff is very professional, helpful and friendly. Wonderful breakfast in restaurant with Capri view. After winding through the twisting cliffside roads of the Sorrentine Peninsula and fighting the Sorrento traffic, we were thinking we should have just chosen a hotel in Sorrento. Leaving Sorrento up more twisting cliffside roads, we finally saw the sign to our hotel, the Hotel Delfino. We drove down the cliffside entry road another quarter mile, and, […] lo and behold, there was a spectacular hotel with a spectacular view of the sea and the Isle of Capri 3 miles away. The hotel was modern, clean and beautiful. The rooms were built down the cliffside, and each had a magnificent view of the Isle of Capri. The pool (below the hotel) was great, and swimming in the Mediterranean (down more cliffside steps, surrounded on three sides by steep cliffs) was an experience we will never forget - terrific. "A little disappointing"
Hotel Delphino is in an excellent secluded location, on a cliff looking towards Capri, and benefits from beautiful views. The swimming pool was reasonable. The descent down a steep path to swim in a small sea inlet was fine, although it was a little off-putting that this inlet was full of floating debris. The hotel was well maintained and clean, […] but the main disappointment was the hotel's main restaurant which was enclosed, blinds drawn to keep the sun out, and hence from which one could not enjoy the magnificent view outside. One would have thought that the main hotel restaurant could have been on an open air balcony to make the most of the hotel's natural surroundings, but instead it was within the confines of a rather dingy, poorly designed room. If you wanted a romantic dinner with a view, you would be advised instead to head off to Massa Lubrense or Sorrento (OK if you have a car). Read more

The hotel is built into a cliff over the Mediterranean. It has its own (small) beach and diving rocks. The views of the ocean, the cliffs and the Island of Capri are stunning. It is very quiet and the hotel has plenty of free parking, which is unusual. Parking in Massa Lubrense is very difficult, so use their shuttle bus. You can schedule a boat from […] their dock over to Capri if you want. The hotel is NOT central to other destinations. It is off the main track, which is one of the things that makes it special. This region of Italy is extremely crowded, so the hotel is a great retreat from the noise and confusion. This is real Italy at its best. Read more

Fantastic location but be sure to book room with sea view. Restaurant service excellent with very friendly staff. Courtesy bus most useful given the expensive taxi prices. Would recommend half board.
Ottima sistemazione nella camera superior vista mare. Era un tripla molto spaziosa e con vista stupenda. Buon albergo solo se con camera vista mare e sui faraglioni di Capri. Ottimo il ristorante in piscina. Piscina con acqua di mare anche se un po piccola comunque piacevole. La discesa a mare privata ti permette un bagno ma abbiamo avuto qualche difficoltà […] a fare il bagno in un mare scuro per noi residenti in Sardegna. Pulizia camera buona.
