We wanted a fair price at a hotel with a pool, so we booked at Roosevelt Inn & Suites. The Inn is beautiful, located fairly close to the downtown. Saratoga Springs is an interesting, historical area. Unfortunately, when we arrived we were informed that the pool and spa were 'out of order' and they would not be repaired until the following week, after we had left. The front desk clerk rather rudely informed me that we should 'feel free' to leave and look for another hotel with a pool. She stated she had begun to call people to inform them of this problem - obviously I had not been called. She further informed me that the previous owners did not even allow children! It was late, we were tired, so we chose to stay. I was told I 'could speak to the manager' the next day but the clerk doubted my problem could be resolved since I had already received a 'very good rate'! She advised me to contact hotels.com. On the positive side, one of our rooms was upgraded to a really nice Junior suite, with 2 rooms and a jacuzzi. Our other reservation was a fabulous suite, with a soaking tub, stand alone shower and full kitchen. I chose not to speak with the manager. My only other complaint was the bed in the bigger suite - it really needs a new mattress. We will return to Saratoga Springs and will consider staying at Roosevelt Inn again.

This was just perfect. It was a very well laid out hotel, the room was spacious and efficient. The free breakfast offered hot food (and of course my... favorite, the waffle maker). I stayed here over memorial day weekend. I found the room to be big and was happy with the cleanliness. However the decor of the room felt very dated and the breakfast in the lobby leaves a lot to be desired. The front desk help was very friendly & overall I was pleases with my stay. I would have no hesitation booking this hotel again.

The room was a good size with lots of space for our belongings. It seemed very clean and bathroom was spotless. Décor is beginning to be dated, but beds were comfortable and room was large. The only "con" was that the shower head was hardly working... there was more of a "mist" coming out of it than actual water! I couldn't say I enjoyed that!

Nice location, close to highway and good shopping . No black out curtains and lights shine in the window all night. If you want to use the pool it was always filled with kids. Over all I think there is better hotels in this area for the price.

Good place for an overnight, although it could use some retooling. I have stayed there a few times in previous years, and it is still nice, but little things, like the clock being WAY off, the heater being a bit loud, and not having the towels near the sink were slightly off-putting.

Had a sleepover bday here. Room was spacious enough for everyone. Hotel staff were very helpful & friendly. Nice breakfast included, not just coffee & danish! The kids LOVED the pool. In an area with lots to do and numerous stores nearby. Highly recommend it!

Stayed overnight with my sister and elderly mother and it was really nice. I usually ask for a handicapped room at hotels, but we didn't this time and it turned out fine! We had a huge room which was easy for my mom to navigate with her walker -- we paid about the same price as other local hotels which had smaller rooms. We got back late from the event […] we were attending in the area and were pleasantly surprised that they still had hot decaf coffee available! We all slept well on comfortable beds and it was really quiet despite being close to the highway. Located right off the freeway. Room was spacious and well appointed. Breakfast was excellent. Experienced a 2 + hour, hotel-wide power failure during the evening. Staff could not provide any information at the start of the event, and made little effort to update guests for the duration. Other than that, I would highly recommend this property.

We traveled with a 4,2,and 1 year old. Not an easy task. There was plenty of room and the staff supplied us with 2 pack n plays. Awesome place. It was clean, nice, and cozy. They specifically put us near an elevator, but not right next to an elevator. The only real downside was that the heating/AC unit was very loud and rickity sounding... So much so […] that my 4 year old woke up in the night and told us it was too loud for her to sleep. The second night we were evacuated due to a smoke detector problem. We had to carry 3 sleeping children outside at 930. I understand it was out of their control, but, it would have been nice for them to say sorry or offer some assistance. nice spacious rooms and pleasant staff. Negatives were that upon entering, rooms had the smell of cleaning products (our noses acclimated after a while) and on one occassion the room was hot and stuffy when we walked in--no air conditioning--but that was corrected quite quickly. A second waffle maker at the breakfast buffet would be nice!

Very clean and nice staff. We went to a concert in Saratoga Spring. Location nice also. Close to concert and lots of different places and varieties of foods and shopping near by.

We went to see a concert at SPAC and we stayed at this hotel. It was conveniently off I-87 and had many stores and restaurants near by. I was taken back by how nice the hotel and our room was inside. The beds were extremely comfortable and we never heard any outside noises. I would definitely stay here again.

Very nice and clean hotel. The room was bigger than we expected and very comfortable. Would stay again if in the area. Breakfast was good.

Nice place and good for a quick overnight. Only small issue is that you can't close the shades to block the street lights. Otherwise it's fine.

I was very pleased with the hotel's main entrance and overall appearence. The staff was very friendly. The room was very nice and comfortable and I was happy to have a little fridge and microwave in the room. I would stay here again. It really was a comfort suite!

Very clean hotel. Staff was excellent. Breakfast was excellent. Rooms were very clean. Pool was a bit cold but, was still a lot of fun. We are going back the following weekend!!

Great location and good quality -everything was just right for a stopover on the NorthWay just past Albany. (I87) 2 adults and 2 fussy teens amazingly- fit in a 2 queen room, suite with a pull out couch. Good service, nice big breakfast. We stayed here on a weekend trip to saratoga because all the hotels in saratoga were a fortune. If you just need a place to sleep and don't mind driving 15 minutes to save a couple hundred dollars on a weekend stay it is worthit. We were in a handicapped room so the bathroom was extra large although the shower head had very little water pressure. The […] beds were very comfortable. The included breakfast was bare bones and crowded but you would get a bowl of cereal and some fruit which was enough for us. There is no maintenance crew around at night so when our toilet clogged,we had to plunge it ourselves. But that is what you get for saving money. Read more
