HUSA CATEDRAL - Almeria 36.8388, -2.46724

I chose Hotel Catedral because it was one of the lowest priced hotels in Almeria, but it also looked like it had great character and a gorgeous setting. I was very happy with this hotel. It was right next door to the famous Cathedral on a huge plaza. The restaurant had patio seating at night and an indoor bar and restaurant. The rooms were modern and spacious. Each room had a computer with internet access, but also wifi available. The hotel was clean, quiet, and had many upgrades. Free bottles of water on each floor, fresh flowers, many "pretty" things. The reception hosts did not speak strong English, but were able to understand my needs. My only concern was the neighborhood seemed to be a bit dicey. I don't know that it really was, but it wasn't in the hub of the restaurant and bar area. Since dinner/tapas at night doesn't get into full swing until about 10:00p.m., I had to walk about 4-5 blocks on empty alleys or streets. I never felt in danger, but did watch my surroundings. The walk to the main district is about 5-10 minutes. The cruise/ferry port is about a 5-10 minutes walk, and the beaches 15-20 minute walk. If I were to return to Almeria i would definitely stay here again.

Great hotel situated in the Plaza beside the Cathedral. Staff very friendly & helpful. Room was spacious and very clean. Free internet provided in bedroom using computer which was in the room. Food was very good, a buffet breakfast was provided and a cooked breakfast was available on request at no extra cost. Plenty of bars and restaurants surrounding the hotel and the Alcazaba castle was within easy walking distance. Parking costs around 15€ per day in a public car park which again is situated withing easy walking distance from the hotel. There is a small pool/jacuzzi on hotel roof and a also few sunloungers.Plenty of nightlife, enjoyed walking round the local area at night and would definitely return for another visit if going to Almeria city.

Hotel virtually next day to Catherdral and not far from Alcazaba. Very charming hotel with rooms that are different and with charater. Service was good and friendly. Free internet in the room was a surprise. Only issue was that there was noise from the street.

We chose this hotel over others in Almeria because of its location in the Centro Historico and it proved to be everything we had hoped it would be. Situated in the Plaza Catedral (Cathedral square) it is peaceful and quiet until the cathedral bells start ringing! The standard of the rooms are very good, which you would expect from a 4 Star establishment but a word for the beds, they are huge. Free internet in your room also. You can dine in the hotel and it is fine but the little local tapas bars are great and fairly inexpensive if that's your thing. You can't fail to be impressed by this superb hotel in a superb location.

Highly recommended - restful decor throughout, very comfortable rooms with enormous king bed and shower head the size of a dinner plate. Staff were charming and helpful, inclusive breakfast was well above average, and great freebies include PC with internet access in the room, and unlimited water and juices from fridges in the public areas. Would definitely go back, and it's one of the few hotels i've stayed in recently where i'd have been very happy to be there a week or more, rather than just the odd night.

First class hotel in a central location of the old historic town of Almeria. Situated next to the lovely cathedral, and very close to the Moor built Alcazabur wonderfully conserved fortress. The harbour is a pleasant walk of only a few minutes through the old streets with many cafes for coffee and tapas.

Un hôtel agréable et de qualité avec la présence d'un écran avec internet et TV : tous les hôtels devraient s'y mettre. Le petit déjeuner est excellent. Il y a cependant quelques points faibles : une propreté douteuse dans la salle de bain surtout où le sol n'était pas net, seulement 4 transats sur la terrasse, ce qui est insuffisant.

Bon rapport qualité prix, calme et joli terrasse le soir.

L'hotel est tres agreable, les meubles ont fantastic !

Een vier sterren hotel voor de prijs van een twee sterren hotel, wat wil je nog meer. Zeer luxueus. Alles topdesign met een hoge afwerkingsgraad.
