"Perfect for one night stay and great beds!"
I love the Ibis re-brand and I love their beds! They are the most comfortable beds ever for a relatively inexpensive hotel. The functionality of the room suits me. It may not be lush but it's practical, has everything I need and everything works! What I also love about Ibis is the staff - most of whom are European (a huge plus in my book) - friendly, […] helpful and bi-lingual. They have a great attitude and will always help whenever they can. Good location and my room was quiet, despite the mayhem of Reading on a Saturday night! (Had never been before). Thank heavens for a quiet hotel to hide in and a great night's sleep. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Did exactly what an Ibis should do - no better, no worse. Happy to stay again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Stopped here in May and was very pleased. Clean rooms, accommodating staff and a decent nights sleep. Would definitely return if im in the area for a night.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"I keep going back here ..."
... because it's unfailingly good. Staff change each time but are always extremely helpful and pleasant. Room is always spotless. Bed is comfy. Noise levels are low. Rates are also low. And it's slap bang in the centre of town.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Just Dull - worth the money ?"
Well, I think for £90 a night its all a little dull... I was placed in a room on the 9th floor.. with a disabled shower room... I don't mind that but it was well worn and the shower head only just hovered above my head (I'm only 5,10!) .. and the water went from luke warm to extremely hot ? The room was clean but so basic.. with a broken remote control […] back... the Bar closes early... I'm not sure I will use again.. but the central location was very useful. Stayed 1 night. Lovely hotel. Never stayed in a ibis hotel before. In centre of reading 5 minutes from station. Every thing you need around you.very clean. Friendly staff. Easy check in.would stay again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"nice enough but not luxury"
Hotel was fine if you are not spending much time there! Very basic but clean and does the job, very comfy beds but rooms could do with some extras like a bin! And carpets on the floors would be a good idea. More towels needed in rooms and if requesting towels should be brought to room not expected to go and collect from reception!! Overall get what […] you pay for but personally would rather pay a bit more and get better facilities Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Stayed one night with my partner to visit friends in Reading - cheap, well organised central hotel, room was modern and clean. Despite being located in the very centre of the town our room was quiet. All in all, very happy - would stay again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Very nice hotel on a good location. The room wasn't very big but it was comfortable.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Good hotel with friendly staff. Room compact, bed comfortable. Shower not working properly, either too hot or too cold. Big minus is the parking, not onsite, it's behind the hotel and you have to walk up a hill to get there, not ideal if you have a heavy suitcase to carry like we did!!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Does what it says in the literature"
Arrived late - selected family room to ensure a double bed, got allocated twin where single beds very narrow. This was sorted next day as I was moved to a double room. Efficient re-allocation but no apology! It's a bog standard good value hotel. Breakfast quite good value at £7.95Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice efficient centrally located hotel."
Good experience as previous visits. I user this hotel when visiting Reading as its central, close to train station and can get taxis as required. The rooms are small and simple but functional and completely fine for shortish visits. Breakfast is good and there is plenty of choice. I shall continue to use this hotel when visisting Reading.Genuine Expedia guest review
"good location to railstation and town center"
good hotel for a short stayGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Excellent for a budget hotel"
The location is second to none - literally around the corner from the train station and all the busses. Yet this was the quietest night I've had in Reading thanks to the good double glazing. The bed was Brilliant, as was the shower pressure. They also had free internet connection which was very fast. This is, however, a budget hotel so decor is very.. […] budget (but not grim!), the breakfast is basic - but adequate and there is no gym. Good option for business travellers. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Good location about 1 minute walk away from Reading station. Despite the false fire alarm meaning that I had to walk down 9 floors and stand in the cold, it was a good stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I really dislike the locks on your bathroom doors but you still have a bathroom so that's always good. Very clean and very convenient.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Clean, comfortable accomodation though a little cramped for space. Room service really does need to be available at all times as advertised, not having to wait up to thirty minutes due to lack of desk staff.Genuine Expedia guest review
Very nice welcome from front desk room was lovely and clean bed really comfy tv had best picture i ever saw in a hotel room and shower was massive plenty of room to move around inGenuine Expedia guest review
"Nice hotel in great location"
Stayed here with my mum for a girlies shopping trip. Hotel is great location! 5 min walk from train station. There are pubs, restaurants & shops less than a 5 min walk. Stayed here a couple of times. Always had very clean, well equipped rooms. Beds are very comfortable!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Very good value; perfectly good"
I just needed a good, comfortable, convenient room for the night. Job done. Nice reception and quality staff.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Clean, modern & conveniently located hotel"
For the price, we were pleased with this hotel in the center of Reading. We were on the top floor and had a good view over the town, the room was clean and had everything needed for a quick stay. The design was modern and the lobby was very well done. My only gripe was the noisy pipes at night, not terrible but just loud enough to be noticeable - if […] you're a light sleeper you will want to avoid the top floor. Also, worth pointing out that the car park is just around the corner and the hotel can validate your ticket when you check out so that you only pay £10. The car park does not give a good first impression of Reading but don't let it put you off - we went to uni here and it's safer then it looks!! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Small-ish room but pleasant stay"
My family was visiting me and stayed there for a couple of nights. Staff were friendly and helpful, and location was good. Facility and breakfast very good. Room was a bit small but acceptable.Genuine Expedia guest review
Staying the room was kind of like living in a plasic box from Ikea. God help humanity if this kind of sterile look is is our future.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Good hotel, reasonable price"
Had a great stay here. I think parking should be clearly explained. NCP car park charges, you must stay in the car park for 24hours to qualify for a discount from the hotel. If you stay overnight you will have to pay £17.10 for parking.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
It is not the first time that I stay in IBIS Reading. You have the new bedrooms and the old one. New ones are much better of course. Employeesl are nice, helpful and often speak French or Spanish if needed. The IT system need improvement and getting an invoice seems very heavy process.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We stayed over night after a wedding at the town hall. The location was excellent for that although we did have to walk through the crowds of people out in reading to get back to our room. However, once we were in the hotel we couldn't hear any noise from outside or from inside the hotel. The room was spotless and the shower was lovely! Although the […] facilities were quite basic they were perfect for what we needed and the ironing was very very useful before we left for the wedding. Check in and out being at 12 was also very useful for what we needed. We would definitely use ibis for an overnight stay again! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good Value Hotel, Close to Train Station"
We stayed here to allow us to catch the early morning RailAir to Heathrow. Stopping at Reading was much cheaper and more convenient than staying near Heathrow. The hotel is a budget hotel, but is better, in my opinion than a Travelodge (room better decorated, nicer bathroom, better linen). The room was nice and quiet and check-in / check-out was ea […] sy. "Not worth £100"
I think at £100 the room was expensive for the quality. The lobby was very funky but the room format for Ibis I've now found out is poor . Also the tv was very snowy. Excellent location in the centre thoughGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Considering the price for a room, I wasn't expecting it to be that good. But I was pleasantly surprised - the room was clean and modern, the bed was very comfortable, and it was very quiet, considering that the hotel is located close to bars and clubs. Location is good for shopping/pubs, and is also about a 5 minunte walk from the train station. I'd […] recommend the Ibis for a cheap and comfortable stay in Reading, close to all the amenities. "Very good centrally located hotel"
Perfect hotel for a short stay - the rooms were very comfortable and we were right in the centre of Reading only a short walk from the train station. The staff were helpful, allowing us to check in slightly early without fuss. The whole hotel felt very modern and well maintained.Genuine Expedia guest review
Stay was good. Pretty annoyed that I was told my parking would be £10, got my ticket stamped, then got charged £17.10 at the pay station... Shocking.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Comfortable, clean and good value."
You know what you're getting with ibis - a comfortable, decent-sized room with one of their pod bathrooms. It's clean, warm and well-positioned in the middle of Reading, near to the station. The room has a convenient desk and decent free Wi-Fi for working in the evenings. The breakfasts are tasty. I suppose the only slight complaint I'd have is that […] if you don't buy the TV package, then the TV channels are quite limited. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
only stayed overnite, had hassle getting in hotel at 1am in the morning key would not work, but somebody was on desk, and same with room. very noisy oudtside but i expected that in the centre of reading, room clean kettle did not work, but no worries.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"ideal for business"
Good location in centre of reading, ideal for business trips. Was under construction when I attended so hopefully will look better cosmetically than boards and builders. :)Genuine Expedia guest review

"Very centrally located"
You always know exactly what you're going to get with an Ibis and this hotel is exactly the same as every other I've stayed in! The room has all the essentials- nice comfy bed, plenty of hanging and storage space, kettle,TV and hairdryer. The bathroom "pod" has a lovely spacious ,powerful shower. "Great base for events in London"
Very convenient for Reading train station and only 30 mins journey to Paddington. Able to check in at 1120 am allowing us to get to London early without having to carry luggage around. Room on 11th floor was spacious, clean and comfortable, aswell as quiet. A very handy place to stay for events in London and inexpensive.Genuine Expedia guest review
