I love everything about it specially the environment of the location. The hotel was well clean and organized, the room was extremely beautiful and I enjoy the breakfast too. I'm planning my next vacation in that hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice hotel with a pool near the beach"
My family enjoyed their stayed at this hotel; most especially, they loved the pool, the breakfast and the fact that it was closer to the boardwalk/beach!!! We would certainly stay there again and recommend it to other families and friends.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great hotel for the price, quality and location"
Front desk staff not very happy. Manager was out of country. Felt as if being watched by every move. Paid extra for parking which was a huge surprise considering I was paying to stay at that location. Breakfast could have better selections and add a second waffle maker. Breakfast lady seemed unhappy. Overheard staff complaining on more than 1 occasion. […] Cleaning staff was cordial and good. Pool was nice and clean. Rooms are nice. Would stay there again. I was not informed there was a $10 per night CASH payment which had to be made at check-in.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The TRYP was very nice , clean and updated . The service was good and it was very affordable considering it was right off the boardwalk . I would definitely go back and stayGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Ordered from hotels.com and had no problem. The staff was friendly and admitted to previous problems that have been fixed. Nice comped breakfast and close to the Quarter and beach. Worth the price. Will go again if can't afford a casino.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
This was hardly as fancy as the casinos but it was clean and comfortable. Best of all, it is only a block from the Boardwalk and across the street from the Tropicana complex. It is located within walking distance to other casinos and shopping. The pool is great, despite limited hours of operation--it closes at 7pm. There is very limited parking at a […] fee and WiFi is not free. The complimentary breakfast is standard . All in all this is not a bad place to stay. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Bare bones and a tad seedy, but perfectly functional. Would stay again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Clean rooms right in the middle of all the action. You can't beat Ot for the priceGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Only had two issues with hotel. When I went to use the shower i found hair on the floor. It could've been cleaner. When I used the hotel towels to dry I got lint all over my body :(. I missed complimentary breakfast. I would suggest that they put the times on the tickets. This hotel was in a great location. Close to the boardwalk, and other nearby hotel […] casinos like, Tropicana. Parking is $10. Has a lot of potential to be great. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Close to Boardwalk and Casino"
Pretty much what I expected; it was a block away from the boardwalk and accross the street from the Tropicana casino so the location was ok, but it is a bit of a walk from the rest of the casino's. The room was very comfy and clean, however all of the rooms open to the court yard (no interior hallways)Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"COMFORTABLE,CLEAN,AND CONVENIENTLY LOCATED MOTEL."
My friend and I enjoyed our stay at this very nice motel with a great pool!!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
In Atlantic City, I've stayed at Trump Plaza, Tropicana, the Days Inn next to the Trop, and now TRYP. TRYP has by far the nicest and cleanest rooms. It is a block from the boardwalk and directly across from the Trop. The only negative is the motel type setting where each room has a large window on the side of the hotel where everyone is walking past […] in order to get to their rooms. "Lots of added fees"
Make sure you call the hotel in advance if you book through Hotels.com. Sometimes they overbook. I called to make sure and there were no problems checking in, accept there are so many extra fees that they don't include on hotels.com. Make sure you put the correct number of people or they charge you like crazy, parking is not free. If you book through […] Hotels.com, you have to pay all the extra fees in cash, no credit cards accepted. They put a hold on your credit card that takes forever to put back on. Service was not that friendly, however the hotel itself was very nice. Breakfast was better than some others. Room was comfortable and very clean. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"MUCH better than expected!"
This place could actually have scored straight 5's in my book. First, the room was immaculate. The beds/bedding...5 star. Obviously recently remodeled the room was on the small side, but the amenities were outstanding. The only thing that would keep me from staying here long term was the water pressure. The tap was a tiny trickle; the shower head had […] more "dribble" than "stream". I'll laugh and point at you if you complain about the parking. Yes, it's an extra $10, but compared to the $100+ more expensive rooms in the area that are LESS plush? I'll pay the parking, TYVM. Oh, and just go buy breakfast elsewhere. That was an annoying joke, watching the other aggressive guests load their plate with 30 muffins and go scurrying off to dark corners with their loot. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Very clean and updated!!!"
Loved our room...extremely clean...all brand new remodeling done ..granite counters , beautiful shower!! friendly and organized staffGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Bed squeaked quite a bit even on the slightest movements and the location calls for some excess noise. However the room itself was awesome. Definitely better than expected. Cleanliness A+, set up A+, breakfast in the morning A+. Couldn't ask for more at the price paid! Recommended!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Just stayed 1 night for a friends birthday. The hotel is super updated and very clean. Didn't experience the free morning breakfast. I think it has such low reveiws because you don't get the full AC casino experience in one place, but the location is great and accessible to everything. Awesome for a quick weekend getaway.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great value in the shadow of the Tropicana"

If you look at this address on Google street view you'll see the "Ascot", a ancient (historic?) motel that I would be afraid to walk near, let alone stay in. What Wyndham has done with the property is nothing short of amazing. I am assuming everything was gutted, as the bathrooms seem brand new and upscale, including a swanky tiled shower and dark wood vanity. Beds likewise were plush, the a/c unit was quiet, and noise from other rooms seemed minimal. My only caveats were the odd parking situation, which in several places is 2 deep, requiring you to leave your car keys in the office, as well as the general location very close to the very busy Pacific Ave, which is noisy 24 hours a day. Though as the rapid decline of AC continues uninterrupted, perhaps this particular problem will start to fix itself..
"Pleasantly Surprised "
My husband and I made last minute plans to stay the night in AC. The prices for a Saturday night at the casinos were OUTLANDISH!! No wonder their closing.... We found this property and took a chance. We always stay in the casinos for the comfort and the safety, but honestly we were very impressed by the cleanliness and modernized rooms. It was better then some casino rooms we stayed in. The parking was no problem and the hotel staff were very friendly. It served its purpose for the evening and I would recommend it to people that don't wanna spend a fortune on a room!!!
This is a nice hotel nice clean rooms cable the beds are comfortable the pool is nice no problem checking in or out and you get free breakfast every morning and walking distance to the beach get hotel will be back again.
"Clean and affordable"

This hotel is a close to the boardwalk, yet no casino. Pro;s I found the room clean and check in - out easy. Cons The area, although only a block from the beach/boardwalk is sketchy to walk late night. We were abit nervous and would opt not to stay there again for that reason. The "breakfast" that is served in the restaurant is awful. It is a buffet style and is definitely not worth the $13.00 per person but you end up doing it because of the convenience. Food was not hot and trays not refilled when emptied.
"SO SO MOTEL"

First impression, what the heck were we thinking as we drove into the parking lot. It's not all what we expected. Fancy cheap lights out front on the building and balcony were covered with rain-very slippery and dangerous! Rooms are dirty, trash cans were never emptied and housekeeping never replaced wash clothes or towels. Fruit flies and nats everywhere inside the room. The free breakfast was a joke. Had to wait for an hour just to make a belgian waffle. Beds were comfortable though but the room appeared dirty-bathroom floor was never mopped, floors were never vacummed throughout our stay. When we checked out we were we told we had to move our car immediately even though we paid $10 a day. I'll never stay here again.

"Small Hip Hotel with Parking Lot Pool"
07/19/14 RedCarnationReady NYC
My friend and I were given a tour of the new Tryp Hotel by Wyndham by the Management. We were pleasantly surprised. We toured the small check-in area, the Breakfast area, the Pool and one of the rooms on the ground floor...the decor is modern, upscale and the mattresses were big! The hotel is beautifully lit at night. I'm not sure what the Pool hours are but it would be nice to hang out there on a hot night. Congratulations on this new property. It's proximity to the Tropicana (and it's shops/restaurants) can't be beat. Saw some great rates midweek ($70) through the Wyndham website for some dates. Great looking new option in the heart of all the action!
"Not too bad"
07/15/14 Pultzar Palmer, Massachusetts
There have been some back and forth reviews of this place but with the right expectations you will be very satisfied. I checked in with my wife on 7/5 at the rate of $249.99 for 7/5 and $99.99 for 7/6. We were lucky the fireworks on the 4th were delayed so we scored what ended up costing $200 plus for 7/6 and $350 for 7/5 for any late bookers. The parking situation can be rough and when we got there there only 1 spot was available on the Pacific Ave. side. I had thought parking was free on site but it is $10 per night and if you take a spot on South Iowa you might have to move your car for someone else to get out. Also if you pay and leave there is no guarantee you will have a spot upon your return. We knew the Jitney was right out front so I paid $20 for two nights of parking (Cash only, no receipt) and left the car until we checked out. Every website I had seen did say free parking and we actually called Wyndham who stated there was a "small fee" disclosure. I really didn't care about the cost I just don't like surprises. Checking in was fine and we did so right at 3pm. Booked a king room and ended up on the 4th floor on the far end away from the elevator. There was a sign in the check in area stating hotels.com reservations will not be accepted but I expected to see this after seeing the other reviews. I booked directly through the Wyndham hotels website. The elevator is tiny and in the lobby. It definitely had a strong odor of the Devil's Lettuce in it which seemed to be a theme throughout the hotel. Honestly it was a better smell than that of.... well 7-11 in the lobby. The lettuce was not a big deal to myself but it was certainly prevalent but the lobby smell needs to be addressed. If I had to wait to check in I would have gone outside. The room was very clean, had a really good size fridge, and tons of channels on the tube. The a/c blew cold as you wanted. They had nothing in the room indicating the wifi password so we called the front desk and retrieved it. It was a pretty slow connection but I have yet to see hotel wifi that I find passable beyond light web browsing and email checking. The bathroom was small but adequate with a flush that I would label as "low flow". From the farthest room possible to the exit it was about 30 seconds. 20 more seconds to the Jitney stop and maybe 45 seconds to the entrance of the Trop really made the location awesome. The pool was closed, then open, then closed so no idea what the deal was but I did not plan on using it anyways. It was the size of a big in ground in someone's back yard. Throughout our two days I had no issues whatsoever with the area around the hotel and made numerous walks very late at night without the slightest concern. The theme of the smell of the Devil's Lettuce was apparent at almost all times with patrons partaking in the walkways but it was of no concern to me and they were friendly if you just said Hi as you would to anyone passing by. All things considered, I would definitely stay here again. The Jitney stop being right in front of the place was a huge factor especially since it was rarely even halfway full because it is one of the first stops on Pacific. Any q's, lemme know!
