A perfect vacation...driving distance to key west, etc., beautiful homes, totally tranquil, food is amazing, service outstanding, overall amazing! Great REsort for the family getaway. There are 2 pools, one adult pool, one for the kids. No bar closed to the pool though and no waitstaff around pool areas, so you have to walk to get cocktails. Tranquility Bay was beautiful, very well maintained with lovely vegetation that made the resort enchanting. They had great activities and a really nice staff. The resort dinner was the best in the area. The smoked fish dip was the best I have ever had. We brought our two children 19 and 13 they just had the best time. There were lots of younger children […] but they had a childrens pool and an adult pool. I would highly recommend it to couples and families. The beach area was much smaller than we anticipated and the area for swimming was ropped off and was shallow for someone who really want to swim in the ocean. "Nice Place to Stay in Marathon"
We enjoyed our stay at the Tranquility Bay Beach House Resort in Marathon. It's on the Gulf side of the island and less than 5 minutes from the 7 mile bridge, groceries/supplies, and Sombrero Beach. The room included a full kitchen and full-sized refrigerator which worked well for us making and eating our own food for most meals. The kids loved the […] huge, saltwater pool. The grounds were well-maintained, though the swimming area of the beach was a bit small. The restaurant was good albeit expensive, but that's to be expected at any resort. We didn't try out the Tiki Bar or the water sports at the resort so I can't comment on those. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay. One word of caution, though. We stayed for a week. The resort has everything. The tiki bar /restaurant has fabulous view and right on ocean. We could relax there forever. Lunch food was OK but Butterfly restaurant for dinner was amazing. It was a little pricey but worth every penny. Roped off beach area was shallow but could find some great fish with snorkel. "Marathon, Florida - Tranquility Bay"
What a wonderful place to stay! Impressive all around from price to accomations to staff. The resort is just as the pictures show it. Impeccably maintained, the buildings are clean and relatively new. The unit was tastefully decorated and very comfortable. Beds and furniture were very cozy. Exceptional linens. We had a 2 bedroom unit which had 2.5 baths. […] Great to have 2 full baths up with the bedrooms plus the powder room on the main level. Housekeeping went beyond requirements of emptying the trash daily. Put our dirty dishes in the dishwasher and made the bed. The washer/dryer was a great extra. Would definitely recommend this resort to couples and families. Two down sides: 1) they absolutely do not allow pets and 2) all bedrooms are on the upper level which requires 15 steps. If you or a loved one have difficulty with steps this would be a huge problem. Wish we had skipped the rest of our trip and stayed longer. Already looking at dates to go back. Yes I smoke, and more as I am passing through life I feel more like a leper. I was able to join a fair sized group of guests in the parking lot who also smoked and none of us was aware when booking the rooms that it is a "non smoking any where resort" On the upside I was pleased to meet interesting visitors from around the world., but sadly spent no […] time there. We ate at restaurants in town, drank in local bars, booked our snorkeling elsewhere etc. I totally respect the no smoking in the room policy and always book a non smoking room. But a tiki bar on the farthest point on your beach that is open to the breezes..... come on guys. And if you put a bar way out there please put a bathroom a little closer. "Relaxing vacation"
We had a good time at the hotel. Its a small complex and very quiet. We were in unit 33 which was a 3 bedroom townhouse close to the family lagoon pool with a beach view. However, the "beach" is very small and the water is fenced off so you don't get a pretty view of the ocean. My kids (5 and 2 yr old) had fun anyway making sand castles. The downstairs […] living and kitchen areas were very roomy and nicely furnished, but the upstairs bedrooms were small. Each room had a balcony which was nice. The master bedroom had the largest balcony with outdoor furniture overlooking the lagoon pool and an ocean view. The only major drawback was the hotel cleaning service. You get daily service for towels, cleaning the kitchen, and making the beds. And on every 4th day, you get a general cleaning and change of sheets. Well, we stayed 5 nights, and we only received good cleaning on 2 days. We never got the general cleaning on the 4th day. The family lagoon pool is nice and large, but there is no staff for poolside cocktail drinks so just bring your own. The complex is nicely maintained. Même en supplément,rien n est prévu pour proposer un petit dejeuner. Pour autant, les chambres (qui sont plutot des maisons, en fait) sont completement equipees pour faire le cuisine.
