"SOME things were good...Other things not so much!"

My first impression of this hotel was not good. I had a very difficult time making an ACCURATE reservation for 4 nights. One of their reservationists (Cheryl) was outright rude to me! The rooms were pricey. Once I arrived at the hotel, I was more impressed. Beautiful lobby, spacious eating area, fairly large sleeping rooms (which included a sleeper sofa, microwave and refrigerator). Front desk staff were friendly and called to see if our room was satisfactory. I like that there were several restaurants within walking distance of the property. However, there were several major issues with our stay. First, I found a bottle of shampoo in my bed upon pulling the covers back. When I called the front desk, I was told that Housekeeping had gone home but that she would bring me clean bedding. I had to change MY OWN bedding! The next day, the elevator broke down! The following day, the pool and hot tub were closed! We really missed using the hot tub after a long day of walking around in the city of Chicago. In the end, we had use of the pool/hot tub for 2 days (out of 5).
"Clean, well-run and nicely situated, but rates a little higher than expected"

Newish and nicely outfitted Comfort Suites - clean inside and out. Room was large and very clean, Internet was steady and fast, AC was powerful and quiet. Bedding was clean and mattress was better than most, but not among the best. Breakfast had a few hot items - a small step up from the normal Comfort breakfast. Hotel is walking distance from several moderate priced restaurants. I paid $10-15/night more for this hotel than I would have expected - at $100/night it would have been a better value.

Our basketball team stayed at this hotel in May. The hotel was awesome. Very clean, rooms were very big - they had both a microwave and refrigerator, which is very important to us. The location was perfect. Lots of food choices in walking distance. Pool was smaller but very nice. Breakfast was the normal hotel breakfast - it was enough for our players and families. We would definitely stay again.

The hotel is VERY well kept & the service was outstanding! Only the breakfast left a little to be desired, but that may just be my opinion. Easy access to on-site laundry, indoor pool/hot tub, and breakfast area.

The hotel it self was nice, clean, decent rooms. The hotel service was awful. We used this hotel as our wedding hotel and they would provide a shuttle. We even paid extra for a third shuttle for our guests to and from the wedding. The third shuttle was so late for our ceremony that even when we waited 15 minutes to start the ceremony, many of them missed it, which was very upsetting. At the end of the night the third shuttle wasn't even going to come back and we had to pay another fee on the spot as a large tip to get the shuttle to come back for our remaining guests. Our guests struggled with booking rooms in our room block due to the disorganization and lack of knowledge of the staff. The Manager was wonderful and would correct errors, but it would take three phone calls to take care of something that shouldn't have been an issue to begin with. Even with handing out gift bags to our guests had to be reminded to them after we found out some of our guests never received them. For staying the night the hotel is probably an ok choice, and is conveniently located next to some restaurants. I would not recommend booking this hotel as a wedding hotel, it will be more of a headache than it's worth.

We had a wonderful overnight stay. Extremely friendly staff. We had a hot tub suite and I was quite impressed how large, spacious, clean, comfortably and up to date our room was, more so than a lot of other high end hotels we have stayed at in the past. I would highly recommend this establishment. Kudos to the General Manager, Cheryl!
We stayed here while in town for a family wedding, and we were very impressed with this hotel. Our room was very large and clean with 2 queen beds and a pull out sofa. The pool was heated and of good size. The breakfast area was large and open with a standard hotel breakfast. Coffee, tea and hot cocoa were available all day, complimentary. The staff was friendly and welcoming. There are a lot of restaurants and stores for shopping nearby with a handful of restaurants within walking distance. Overall, we were very pleased with this hotel and would not hesitate to stay here in the future.
"Great family time here."
Our family came together at the hotel and we couldn't have been treated more kindly. Yes, there are a few things that could have been a little better but all in all we were well pleased. The swimming pool was very cloudy on Sunday night after so many families using the pool on Friday night and Saturday. In contrast to the review we saw to the right from ontherun101, there were kids running up and down the hall all morning long Sunday and in fact woke me about 6am doing so. But the staff is really what I loved about the place. They bent over backwards trying to make our stay delightful. The rooms were spacious and we hosted over 20 people in ours Saturday evening and we all found someplace to sit. The hotel brought 4 extra chairs to the room. And a real plus is that you can walk to the nearby restaurants and coffee shops such as Sushi Station, Panera, Starbucks, Village Pizza, Jimmy Johns, the Wok and the pub. There is even a Dairy Queen within walking distance that has outdoor seating right next to a quiet well landscaped pond.

Our family had a very large room (2 queens plus a pull out sofa). It was nice to have the extra space. The bathroom had granite counters and granite backsplash in the shower. The free breakfast was your standard hotel breakfast that most hotels offer. The staff were very friendly and even gave me a water bottle and Skittles upon check in. The pool was quite small but it wasn't too busy when we were there. The room doors tended to slam loudly. The mini fridge in the room was huge! There was also a microwave. The business across the street had a very early and loud lawn mower in use which was the end of our good sleep. Be prepared to pay many tolls along the Illinois Tollway to get to the hotel and upon exiting the hotel.
