We only stayed here for one night but the hotel rooms are more like appartments and are definitely for people who are staying for a longer period of time. The staff were incredibley helpful and saved us no end of time by finding out about buses, trains etc for us. the 'room' was immaculate and very spacious. A nice environment to be in! Shame we didn't have a longer stay. The only downside is that it's quite a distance from the centre of Boston and it will take a bus and train journey to get there or you could call a taxi. It's definitely not within walking distance. Very handy for the airport though and they do run their own shuttle.

Great staff at this hotel they all were very very friendly and helpful. They told us all about the town and one staff member even helped us with the bus and train scheudle with saved us so much time and money! Great rooms with hardwood floors and cute little ktichens. Bathroom sink is a little small with no where to put your stuff but fine if you don't have a lot of stuff. A little hard to find the first time but easy once you are there and the staff was very helpful on the phone to get us there. Great hotel and wonderful staff. Right on the beach and within walking distance of everything you won't be disappointed, wonderful!

There was a black hair inside one of the pillowcases and there was a section of the blind that was broken, but that was fixed easily enough for the night. Really, the room was clean and looked like it had recently been refurbished. The parking lot is tiny, but I got to the hotel at 3:00 a.m. and there was a spot--one spot--for me. The room had hardwood floors with carpet runners. I actually liked that. Getting to the highway at rush hour was a little bit of a chore, but not too bad. There's not really anything within walking distance. If I had it to do over again, I would definitely stay here again. I feel I got good value for my money.

We were able to use the front desk computer to print boarding passes- very convenient. The woman the reception desk gave a variety of restaurant recommendations including personal comments based on experience. If we needed access to Logan again, I would definitely choose this facility.

Couple of things about this hotel . . .it was a good bargain based on price and what was provided. The suite rooms do not have a TV in the bedroom. Come on, that is part of the fun of traveling, watching TV in bed. Also the "continental" breakfast consisted of corn muffins in plastic, most were still cold, some were frozen. No juice, water, or milk, just coffee. Not even some butter for the muffins!! Also, I needed to send a fax to my office and they charged me $2. The room was dated and very spartan. On the upside, the staff was very friendly and accomodating.

We only stayed one night for the birthday party. And a plus is cabs in winthrop are $3 bucks anywhere around town :) The only complaint I do have is the Beds are extremely uncomfortable. They only have heating available during the winter so if you're hot you have to deal with it. They offered me a fan and I had to go get it myself at the front desk. I was amazed at the cleanliness of the whole establishment, as well as at the spaciousness of my room, ample amenities (silverware, pots/pans, dishes), and like-new condition of the premises. My wireless internet (free!) connection was in and out, and the breakfast was more of a snack (plastic-wrapped muffins and coffee), but overall the atmosphere and comfort of the hotel was very pleasant. We were looking for a relatively inexpensive place near Logan with a free shuttle where we could also leave our car for the week we'd be gone. Never heard of Winthrop, a safe, working class neighborhood on a peninsula of land next to the sea, just a stone's throw away! The hotel is in an old school, very interesting, clean and very nice -- wood floors, sweet architecture, etc. Nice enough room, though the walls were pretty thin and no king size beds. Go eat at Alia, an Italian eatery with the best home-made tiramisu I've ever tasted, or one of the other great (and affordable) BYO restaurants nearby (4 blocks or so). Liquor store across the street with decent wines. Bonus: even though the shuttle wasn't running on our return (check the hours), the hotel sprang for a taxi for us. Nice folks. We'll return!
