Excellent food & surrounding but far from town. Need to have a transport or chartered vehicle or taxiGenuine Expedia guest review
Hotel was close to most of the all must-see sights. Room was clean but small. To me biggest problem was with the dining room. Every single table had a "reserved" sign on it. We sat at a table and then we were asked to leave. They showed us another table which had exactly the same sign on it. Waiters said tables were reserved for the groups which did […] not make any sense to me. On the first day we could not have the main course as it was "finished" 1 hour prior to the closing time of the restaurant. Also plates were old, scratchy and looked not clean.
Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Buena Ubicación en Capadoccia"
Hotel moderno y bien equipado.
"Wonderful service, amazing food, great location spot central for all tourist sites."
06/22/14 Lynziswez Skelmersdale, United Kingdom
Both myself and my husband stayed at Lykia Lodge Kapadokya from 11/06/2014 to 18/06/2014. The hotel is well presented with all expected amenities such as pool, indoor bar, tennis courts, table tennis area by pool. snooker room, gift shops (3) situated in beautiful grounds the location is central for all local tourist attractions although it is out the way if you are looking for night life, whereby you will need transport or taxi to travel out. Goreme, a beautiful town about 8km away is a must visit. We managed to walk back from Goreme to the hotel one afternoon and it was one experience that we will cherish. The views we came across on our trek were unbelievable and we would have missed out if we have taken the local bus back. The local buses stop right outside the hotel every half hour. You can catch a bus from here into Nevsehir, jump another bus to the main bus station (Otogar) on the outskirts where you can catch a coach to all main locations. We did this to travel up to Gobekli Tepe in Sanilurfa (a gruelling10 hour bus trip one way) but well worth it. Our room (305) at Lykia lodge was clean and with sufficient space, nice bathroom with shower. Housekeeping did a wonderful job and we had no complaints. Reception staff Tugba & Jacob did a wonderful job in assisting us with our discovery of this beautiful region. Special thanks to Tugba, She is a credit to the hotel. She was available with help and advice at all times and always with a smile. Tugba arranged a surprise birthday cake through the restaurant with my hubby for me and when I say it was probably the best cake I have tasted I truly mean it .Nothing was too much trouble, ringing taxi companies and bus companies for prices and times for trips we wanted to do ourselves rather than through tour operators. She even rang our hotel in Sanilurfa where we were staying one night in between our stay at Lykia Lodge, to confirm our booking and late arrival.(We had a hug when we left). Jacob did some enquiring around and chasing up for us on a trip to Derinkuyu which we very much appreciated and organised a last minute balloon trip for us through Urgup Balloons at £215 for the two of us. This paid for collection by mini bus at hotel at 4am, drive to balloon comp where coffee & croissants were provided, then taken to balloon lift off site where approx 100 balloons lifting off ready to catch sunrise in the air. 1 hour experience over rose Valley and then decent and champagne toast and certificate then drop of back at hotel. This is a must do breath taking experience. The typical guest at this hotel is with a tour coach staying one or two nights, as we were staying for the week and travelling by ourselves the staff made a massive effort to make us feel welcome and were always ready to help us with a smile. Nothing was too much trouble for anyone. Well what can one say about the food, other than it was outstanding. Buffet style with ample choice. All freshly cooked and all extremely tasty, hardest decision was what to choose as it all looked and smelt gorgeous. Breakfast chef Sadi was one of my favourite people... every morning he greeted us with a big smile, he looked after us like there was no other guests there. His fresh banana milkshake was fab and I looked forward to it and seeing him every morning. All the other restaurant staff couldn't do enough for us. (Sadi also got a big hug when we left). The guys at the bar served us coffee at all times of the day & night as well as my birthday celebration cocktails. They looked after us round the pool with cool drinks when we required them. A warning about the pool, it was super cold if you get in before late afternoon. Don't let this deter you from getting in as once you're in its a wonderful relief from the hot sun. We didn't see or use the spa or gym so we are unable to comment. Well the only thing left to say about the hotel and the staff is that we would not hesitate to recommend staying here. The people in this hotel make you want to come back. If anyone has any questions about the hotel we will be more than happy to help.

I stayed with friends. The hotel is near the main road next to Goreme place (open air museum - must see) and between Nevshehir, Avanos and Urgup. It has nice location if you plan to visit all important places in Kapadokya as Uchisar, Kaymakly and very nice valleys around. The hotel itself has fresh breakfast and variety of meals. There are some shops inside the hotel which are much more expensive if you want to buy some souvenirs than in the shops at the main tourist places. The rooms are clean, with very comfy beds. What I didn't like were the windows of the rooms, a little bit old... Outside there is nice swimming pool and beautiful garden where you can enjoy if you like to have a rest...I would recommend this hotel to any type of traveler!
"I stayed here with a tour group"
06/17/14 JohnWard2013 Lake Jackson, Texas
I stayed here with a tour group. The hotel is spectacular. The food was excellent and the surroundings wonderful. At the time I was there, there was no air-conditioning, but in the altitude and low humidity, that was okay. The room was built to naturally draft ventilation. We ate out on banquet tables near the pool. It was cool in the mornings and we found ourselves moving into the shade for evening meals.
"Best food ever!"
06/02/14 Handywoman9 Fort Worth, Texas
This hotel is nice. The rooms are quite small and basic. You can't really walk to anything. Being in a village would have been nice. Internet didn't work in our room. But the buffet was wonderful! Breakfast and dinner. Service was very good too. Nice pool area.
"Comfortable hotel with great food."
06/01/14 Misbee New Hampshire
This is a modern, clean hotel with a lovely pool area. The buffet dining room offers a wide selection of delicious food. Our room had a towel heater which was great for drying clothes we had rinsed out. While you can't see the fairy chimneys from this hotel, they are very close. This was the quietest hotel we stayed in in Turkey. We didn't hear minarets at 5 AM!
"excellent for the price"

I had doubts about the location b4 I arrived but it is not so far from the main places. You need a ride tho. We had a rental car, and it was not a problem at all. All staff were friendly. Great breakfast in the mornings, give omelette a try. Rooms were good enough for a 4 star hotel. If you are coming with a tour or have a ride, you can book this hotel for sure.
"Poor man's Hampton Inn"
05/20/14 hrk_9 Lima, Peru
Although that would be an insult to Hampton Inn. Tour companies rate this as 5 star but it is closer to 3. Small twin beds and hard pillows are very uncomfortable. Internet does not work in our room. No washcloths. Powdered "orange" juice served at breakfast.
"Loved this hotel!"

This hotel is very quaint. It isn't fancy but is so nicely decorated and fit the area so well. I had a view of trees and it was so relaxing. My room was a good size, very clean and laid out very nicely. I would return to this hotel. The outside was designed to fit the area and it worked for me. Not centrally located though. Good food.

I stayed here 3 nights as part of an Overseas Adventure Travel "land package" tour of Turkey. The hotel was great. The rooms were clean, the staff was helpful, and the complimentary WiFi worked great..The only negative might be that it wasn't close to anything; like restaurants, attractions, and/or shopping, etc. However, that wasn't a problem, on my tour breakfast and dinner (when at this hotel) were included and they were fantastic, the best we had in all of Turkey. The breakfast and dinner buffets were all you could ask for.

This was not the nicest hotel I stayed at in Turkey, but it was nice enough for my two day stay. The room was rather small, but sufficient. Our "double bed" was two twin beds pushed together, which wasn't the most comfortable. However, I will say that I noticed that in multiple hotels in Turkey, so that may simply be the standard for many hotels. There is a very nice bar/lounge area, which connects to the dining area. The food was quite good - some of the best that I had at a hotel in Turkey. One of my friends who was a vegetarian said that this hotel offered many more options for her than most of the others we stayed at. The cooking staff is right in front of you, constantly making fresh food, and is friendly. There are several shops in the hotel, which sell jewelry and other typical souvenirs. You can make such purchases for much cheaper if you go through Cappadocia, but it is convenient for those who are looking for something in particular or need it last minute. There is a pool outside, but that was the only special feature. The hotel is a ways from the nearest village, so don't plan on walking anywhere. However, it is conveniently located for those touring Cappadocia by bus or car.
