Comfort Inn & Suites - De Forest

Clean, comfortable and convenient to all Madison attractions. The kids liked the indoor pool (kiddie, hot tub and larger pool with basketball hoops). Mom liked the small TV in the bathroom and comfortable bathtub. 10 minutes to downtown Madison and University campus.

Out hotel room was perfect. We were looking at having a weekend away and going to a party and then a concert in Madison. This was the perfect location between the two. Our room was better than expected and was very clean and smelled great. We had everything we could ask for and the hotel staff was very friendly and responded to our questions in a timely […] mannor. They even went out of their way to find us some utentsils when we wanted to have a quick snack in our room before the concert. The hotel was clean and quiet and right off the highway. Made for the perfect affordable stop on the way to Chicago. Breakfast was great. Hot eggs and potatoes along with other choices. Very pleased with this affordable stop on our trip. Hot tub was a nice perk too.

Mild Manure smell wafts into groundfloor accessible room near cornfield in July at times through room's back door to parking lot. Bath very good for older folks had grab bars and low tub and tub seat. Nice Quiet area with lots of food nearby. Lots of kids and wedding folks in hotel, but very quiet after 10 PM. Got locked out of room even though it […] had two doors! We went out back door(has no key) to parking lot and left security latch on other door to inside hallway. Took 4 staff over 30 minutes to get us back in our room. hotel needs note on parking lot door reminding folks not to leave security latch engaged on door to hallway when exiting through parking lot door. Good motel, no problems. Easy to find off of the freeway. Had a TV in bathroom a 1st for us. Breakfast was good plenty to choose from. Hot foods too eggs, biscuits and gravy along with cold cereal, donuts, yogurt, bagels, bread, fresh cut up fruit, hard boiled eggs, and other things I forget were there too.

We very much enjoyed our stay. The room was clean and comfortable. Hotel personal were friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast delicious and many choices for whatever you wanted to eat. The pool/spa area had a little bit of everything whether you are old or young. I would definitly stay there again.

stopped with the kids late at nite on way to Wi Dells. This hotel was inline with 3 star hotel. Friendly front desk staff. Fair beds and pillow. very clean. My only complaint is: the Smoke Detector flashed a bright light like a lighthouse. It was so bright, that I could not fall asleep. Thank goodness for travel eyecovers.

This hotel is clean, appeared well maintained, and had perfectly fine service. The breakfast was completely acceptable. The only drawbacks were an older TV (not really a big deal for us), a noisy A/C unit, and the fact that the hotel was next to a field that appeared to be recently fertilized judging by the aroma of cow manure wafting through the air. […] The smell wasn't detectable at all inside the hotel, so this was a complete non-issue. The pool was nice, they have three swim areas, one general pool, one hot tub, and one shallow area (1-2 feet), I think for children. The pool has basketball courts for shooting. A little bit more chlorine than I would like, but certainly better than too little. We got a roll-away bed, but there wasn't enough space in the room to let it fold out fully, […] so we needed to spend 15 minutes moving furniture around to get it to fit, but we were just happy to get one for no extra charge. Have kinfolk in LaForest so very convenient. Niece and her husband met us in the lobby and we spent an hour in the 2nd floor sitting area overlooking the lobby and were uninterrupted. Great breakfast. Reasonable too.

Usually we don't stay at Comfort Inns, but this one was along our travel route, had great reviews and a rate we couldn't refuse. The hotel was about 5 years old, very well kept, good rooms and beds, and a terrific breakfast. There are a couple of fast food places at the same exit.
