Pulled up to the resort and my first comment was " WORTH THE DRIVE" !! Felt like I walked into a southwest gem with splashes of entertainment throughout the resort. Beautiful oasis pool and a waterslide to top it all off. Beautiful tailored lawns and absolutly gorgeous southwest decor. I found it hard to believe we were only a block away from civilization! […] Staff was friendly and helpful and maintanence guys even offered to help with our luggage. Our 1 bedroom deluxe was plenty of room for the three of us and i could spend all day commenting how I felt right at home! Wait till you see the bathtub!!! Wow !! Requested wireless service in order to use my wireless devices but service wasn't available. My tub was clogged, had to have maintenece come fix it, afterward they didn't bother cleaning the tub! The bathroom was cleaned very poorly. Asked for a extra pillows and blanket took about 4 hrs to get it after repeated calls. Requested a wake up call but never […] got it. I was looking for a resort in the Northern Phoenix/Peoria area, as that's where I was house hunting. The rooms are much more than I expected. Apparently, these are sold as timeshare condo's (don't worry, no one tried to get me to attend a meeting), so they have a full kitchen, living room, huge master suite, and a deck overlooking the pool and mountains. […] The rooms were beautifully decorated, and the bed very comfortable. I Loved it! I was surprised how quiet the rooms were, there was a large gathering in the room underneath mine which I heard when I walked by the room, but once I was in my room upstairs, I couldn't hear anything. The only issue for me was there was no wi-fi in the room; you could plug into the internet (for an additional fee). There is free wi-fi available in the lobby, which is also where the business center is. I was so busy during my stay, I didn't have the opportunity to use the pools, but there were several pools, one with a large waterslide. There was only one dining option that I know of, and I didn't have the opportunity to use it. There are multiple restaurants within a 5 minute drive. There is no free breakfast. There were also tennis courts, basketball court, and a horse stable where you could ride horses. Lots of things my kids would've loved to do, so I can't wait to go back with them. Read more

We stayed for two nights and it was worth every cent we payed. The area is beautiful lots of places to eat and shops close by. The room was over the top very clean and very big, there was four adults the king size bed was very comfortable, the living room very spacious. The only down sides were the pull out bed was a little uncomfortable and the pillows […] were all down which made them small it would have been nice to have at least two more extra pillows in the room. To really enjoy this room you need at least 3-4 days, theres horseback riding on the property and my sons enjoyed the swimming pool and the big slide. also if you need internet service its a small extra charge but other then that its a wonderful place to stay, i personnally can't wait to stay there again. Overall the 4 star rating is too high for this hotel. Carpet in the room was stained. Trash bins were overflowing on the grounds which were also not kept. There was old gum and stains on the elevator floor. You will be asked to attend a 2 hour presentation in exchange for a gift and they will try to pressure you into buying a timeshare. Once you arrive […] at the presentation you are told it is at least 3 hours long. We opted out of the presentation and the gift and they were pretty rude and mad at us for that. I stayed for 5 days over spring break with m 9 year old. This is really a terrific place. The kids pool kept us busy from sun up to sun down. There is a great poolside menu with drink service for the grown ups. It's a little bit slow but fairly priced. The rooms are nicely done and very roomy. We had a King Master 1 bedroom and had plenty of space for […] 5 days. Its a 10 minute drive to watch the Seattle Mariners and any restaurant you can name. There are lots and lots of families. If you are looking for a place your kids can have a great time and with no worries that you family is the loudest in the place this is it. This resort was lovely. The staff was friendly and the room very clean and comfortable. It feels like it's "in the middle of nowhere" but in reality is it very close to shopping and the neighboring area is nice. The view from our room/veranda was great. Free wi-fi is not available in the rooms but is available in the lobby and porch outside of the lobby […] which worked well for using the computer/internet outdoors for short amounts of time. Cibola vista is a beatiful resort. The Studio Suite was clean & comfortable. The pool and grounds were nicely maintained and managed. The only negatives were that Internet Service was farmed out to another company to manage, and while I did purchase a 4-day Internet Access package, it was only available for (1) computer, and we had 3 different computers […] needing access. Additionally, check-in was not acceptable. Our room was 1hr 45mins late. The lobby was over run with upset guests who's rooms were also late. It was a poor way to begin a first impression of what could have been a world class resort stay. Read more

We took our first trip to find a winter home in the Phoenix area. When we checked in to Cibola Vista, we asked for a room with a view. We were assured it had a view. When we got into our room, we found all three windows looked out to an immediate wall. For the week we were there, we never saw a sunrise or a sunset from our room. We stayed here with another family in seperate rooms and we both liked our rooms and resort. The pool was exceptional and we could barely get the kids to leave when it got cold at night. There is a tube/slide and lots of channels to swim around in. The rooms are spacious and lots of amenities to make the stay like at your own little apartment. Only negatives I found were that check-out was at 10am, which is the only 10 am check-out I've ever had staying at a hotel. Thought it was really too early to ask guests to leave. And, the cleaning staff leave the premises around noon to 1, they were knocking on our door each morning before 8:15 am. Considering there were two available to check us in, while one helped another guest, and the other one kept walking back and forth between a side office and the front desk, never acknowleding us, nor simply sayin "I'll be right with you...". The bartenders at the pool were very friendly, as well as the houskeepers and the various other maintenance workers around the property. I was a little concerned with my selection to stay here after reading other reviews. I was happy to find that my experience was better than some I read! Check in was very busy, even with 3 -4 staff members checking in guests. The late check-in time (4pm) contributes to this backup. People want to get checked in as soon as possible to be able to enjoy […] the amenities before they close (pools-10pm). It is somewhat secluded but there is shopping and eating within a short drive (1.5-2 miles) The condo-style units are perfect for families and for staying in. This is definitely a place for longer stays though. As mentioned, check-in is at 4pm and checkout at 10am. With pools open from 10-10, that doesn't leave much time for guests to enjoy with a one night stay. Pools are nice and grounds are relaxing. Good place for locals to enjoy a stay-cation! There are a couple of things that were less than ideal. In the junior suite, the toilet is placed very close to the vanity and far from the wall, making it awkward to sit down. My suite was near an elevator shaft, which was somewhat annoying. It wasn't really loud or squealing but sounded like the air conditioner was kicking off/on constantly. The queen beds are very firm and could be more comfortable. Also, I didn't see any ice machines. I didn't ask, but since the location is somewhat out of the way, some of those conveniences would be nice. Free Wireless Internet access would be a great add too! I stayed on the 4th of July and there had been activities going on all day in the family pool area. I wished I had checked in the day before in order to enjoy and participate. We visited Cibola Vista Resort Jan30-Feb9th, 2013. It is located in a peaceful area.(North Peoria) This provided great access to all areas of Phoenix within a reasonable amount of time 20-30 minutes. We took in many sporting events and lots of shopping. The amenities at the Vista are lacking when it comes to food. But there is an abundance of restaurants […] within a 5 minute drive.(although fine dining is lacking.) The grounds of the resort are incredibly maintained. The pool areas for families and couples are outstanding. The water slide is a lot more fun than you would think. Wireless is available in the rooms for a fee of $10/day. Near the lobby it can be accessed for free, although this is somewhat inconvenient. The staff was helpful and extremely pleasant. Requests and information were provided in a very professional and courteous manor. Checking in and out was simple without any complications. The rooms were very spacious and contained pretty much all we could need. We stayed in a king suite but if you are travelling with children, I would see what other options there are as the kids would be sleeping on the one pull-out sofa, which is as comfortable as a pull-out gets. The king was very comfortable and the master room was very large. There is one washroom to share with toilet/shower/sink and then a jet tub in the master suite along with double vanity sinks which was great. This is my second stay at Cibola Vista. It is a remore location requiring you to drive 30-40 minutes to Phoenix or Scottsdale. To Gilbert, it can take almost an hour. The property is a time-share being rented through on-line entities or through the members. The property is very nice, clean and the pools are good with a decent slide. Aside from the pool […] bar, there is vrey little food available and minimal amenities. You willl have a suite with kitchen so bring food or plan to go out. We enjoyed Squid ink Sushi Bar about a mile South. The front REceptionist seemed very indifferent and a little ornery. We were woken up to construction and grading equipment outside our room at 8am. We were moved to a better room though. THe main pool is kid-friendly. but someone pooped the pool when we were there and they allowed all the kids to invate the adult pool which pretty much ended the peacefulness. We thought it unfair they allowed kids into the adult pool since they messed up their own and it basically ended up displacing the adults. Not fair...they should have created some tables and chairs on the grass to accommodate the adults we thought. All in all a nice place if you're not in a hurry. We prefer Scottsdale but you cant get much of a hotel there for under $200. We went to 3 palms Scottsdale and it was a huge dissapointment BTW. Read more

We asked for a king bed but they only had this unit with a queen bed, but that was alright. The hotel was totally booked during our stay due to it being March Break and spring training. I had read that the staff where […] rude and unresponsive. It must be the way people approach the staff because we found staff people to be very friendly and helpfull. The gardens were impeccable and the architecture of the complex very impressive. There is no dinning room in the hotel but short order food service is available at the pool and there are lots of resturants and retail stores just one mile south. The only thing negative we could say is that the adult pool deck needed to be swept of the fines and grit. Other than that, a great stay. Read more
