The hotel was beautiful, the rooms were incredible. More apartment like than hotel like. The hotel balcony led to some breathtaking views. HOWEVER, there is still construction. I had read it was supposed to be finished, but it wasn't even close. The parking lot was packed because of the shortage of space from construction. Once complete I highly recommend this resort.

Reserved a two bedroom villa, just got two joining rooms w too many doors. Both main doors didn't even lock. No mention that slide only runs very few hours a day so missed it since such early check out

We really enjoyed our stay at the resort. The pool was great, the room was cool and refreshing and the service was excellent. I was especially happy to be able to launder clothing while on vacation. Landen at the front desk was competent and swift. The night manager Alex was engaging and courteous. We drove 23 hours and while on our drive south I found this place on Hotels.com. I was excited about the pool and the amenities. When we arrived we were swiftly checked in and then we went off to bed. Arriving at night was disconcerting because we seemed to be out of the way of Phoenix. However, we were right in the middle of the places we visited. My husbands niece had found a much more costly place farther away, when they saw the place we had booked they shortly got a room in the same resort. Their place could have easily housed all of us. I would recommend this place to any person visiting Peoria.

We are locals and needed a place to stay after a small electrical fire in our garage knocked out our power...on the hottest day of the year in the Phoenix area! We had always wanted to try this property and were impressed with a Blue Green Resort location in Las Vegas a few years back. They offered a great, comparable rate to other local places so we jumped on the chance. Tabitha helped us upon check in and was very helpful. The ladies in the office were nice when they found out our story, and offered us information on discounts for restaurants in the area. Again, the rate was great, but I was blown away at the announcement upon check in that there would be a non-refundable pet deposit of $150! Really, $150? Turns out that is "per stay", but if you are staying one night, that is outrageous! We were in a bind, so paid it, but it is disappointing that this information was not made available on the hotels.com page when making the reservation. All it said was that up to two pets were "welcome". The suite was quite nice, but upon pulling out the sofa bed for our son, we found that the seat cushions were in really bad shape, and there seems to be no excuse for that and was the cause of the 3 rating for the condition/maintenance of the hotel.

Nice facility but with all the construction it was hard to enjoy. Ask for a room as far away from the construction as possible. Also, your room is not cleaned everyday. They won't even replace dirty towels or empty the trash in your room unless you ask. Beautiful and clean pool! The resort is out of the way a bit.

We had horrible customer service at this property… We didn’t sign up for their Time-Share presentation so not sure if that is why we were treated so poorly. The front desk help cut me off when trying to explain my situation and it just went downhill from there. The rooms were fabulous and clean so that was not the issue for us, get some new help at the front desk and I will be back.

When we checked in, we were informed that they could not guarantee our last night stay would be in the same room due to separate reservations. They were not able to look ahead a few days to see if the room would be available. On Saturday we checked with the front desk and they told us to pack our stuff Sunday morning and check out and they would try to get us close to our original room. We packed up Sunday morning and before leaving the room, we checked with the front desk and they told us we were able to stay in the same room. We requested new towels since we assumed we were switching rooms. When we got back to the room later that afternoon, new towels still had not been delivered. We requested them again and still no towels within the hour. It was nice having a separate pool for the adults, although the staff did not do a good job keeping the loud profanity from other guests under control. The room was clean and comfortable. We probably would not stay here again.

The hotel was lovely and so was the staff. But, there was a lot of loud noise from outside the room and from the floor above. Also, we were only visited once by housekeeping our entire visit to give us extra towels the evening prior to our departure.

Had a great stay at this resort. We would definately come back. Our only complaint would be the limited parking, which may be due to the construction of the last couple buildings in the resort. Overall very satisfied!

The rooms were wonderful and the pool was also wonderful they are remodeling the outside so it didn't look inviting. Also the pool drinks are way over priced and the servers and staff not all but wore their pants passed their bottoms and not as polite as you would think they should be working with the public. Go to check in and they can't find my reservation because I reserved on expedia and there system doesn't automatically link to expedia. Booked over a week in advance. They were apparently booked. Stood there for over an hour with a two and three year old while they tried figuring it out. When I would ask what is going on, they wouldn't communicate but just looked confused. Not a I'm working on this or anything. Two other issues we had: Cockroaches scattering everywhere at night on the sidewalk. How they are not in the units, I'm surprised. The beds are hard. You would think a nicer place would have nicer beds. We come to Phoenix often to visit friends. Thought we would try somewhere new. We will not be returning.

We stayed one night and spent the next day enjoying the pool. Unfortunately, the main pool was closed until 11:00 am. However, once we got in, it was lovely. There are several sections to the main pool and a 72-person hot tub nearby! The water slide has a 48 inch height requirement. The bar by the adult pool offered frozen beverages (with and without alcohol) and outdoor dining. It was also possible to arrange for horseback riding across the street. This is also a timeshare, so you are required to briefly check in with the concierge. However, it is easy to opt out of the timeshare presentation. There are many stores (including a super target) and restaurants nearby.

Everything was fine, from the accomodations to the pool. The mattress on the pull-out couch needs to be replaced as the springs stuck me in the back. Other than that, everything else was ok. Even the rugs were not bad, but this may be due to the building being rather new.

pros - great location away from phoenix business but close to stores, strip malls, restaurants etc. and not a lot of traffic when we stayed 4/15-4/22. great staff. quiet resort even though families with kids present. kitchen stocked nice. Gas grill not the best flame but got the job done eventually. awesome rooms. carpeting showing some age but no different than any other 4 or 5 star hotel. probably could do tile throughout like in mexico and be better appearance. we were on first floor and did hear people walking above us but noise not really that loud. master gardener put on great 1.5 hour tour about cactuses around the resort. fitness room smaller but not busy and had a lot of things for working out on. bags of ice were complimentary in office. cons - the café/bar was located in the adult pool area which is about 100 yards from lagoon pool (lagoon pool is where 90% of people hung out but no bar/food was located at this pool which would have been great and a better money maker for the resort and more tips for bartenders. you will not get daily maid service which we could handle for one week using same bed sheets but the maids were great about coming around and exchanging towels. I do not prefer to stay at the same resorts more than once as I like to try new ones all the time but can honestly stay if staying in Peoria again I would stay at this resort.

We thought the resort was very nice. Nice staff. We wanted hot weather and a pool. You fit he bill. We had two one bedroom suites, accommodating 5 adults. Tried to type the following in the "could improve" spot. Won't let me. The sofa sleeper was very uncomfortable, the fifth adult slept on the short sofa. We congregated in one of the rooms throughout the weak and felt that the living area was very dark. Felt like a basement. The information that we received was a little confusing. When I called ahead to get info about housekeeping I was told we would have daily service. At check in we were told to call if we wanted service. Whether we called or not the keepers visits were sporatic. Please take these comments as constructive comments, not complaints. We had a great week.

Every sound from the room above came thru the floor, every footstep was heard. You could hear the TV next door and they were not playing it that loud. The bathroom fan was noisy, the refrigerator was noisy, the neighbors shower screamed when it was on. Dirty towels were everywhere around the pool. Lighting in the units were harsh florescent with little natural light. It took several minutes to get hot water

Our three day stay was in a major disappointment, The "suite" was small, dark, drab, and uninviting. While the service was satisfactory, to label this as a "resort and spa" is laughable; more like a cheap hotel with pool. As the West Valley is largely undeveloped sand and brush, the few accommodations available can likely get away with shabby rooms.

The Junior Suite has two windows, only. And they are in the bedroom looking at a stairwell and the other at the elevator. The living room/kitchen has no windows. The love seat faces the kitchen sink and the tv is in the cupboard. Not what the pictures showed on Expedia. I complained to the manager at the front desk and he questioned who I booked the room through. I asked for a different room and he said they were all booked. I asked where the café was on the property and he said at the pool. He said they are open till 7pm. At 4 pm I called and the phone rang 40 times. I contacted the front desk and they assured me they were open. I tried calling again, 30 rings. I went down to the café to place an order and there was no one there except staff. They said the didn't hear the phone ring. Terrible services and facility.

This was the second time my wife and I stayed at this resort. The first time was for our honeymoon, and the stay was superb. The room was incredible, the resort was fantastic, and the staff was friendly. This second time was for our anniversary. The only issue we had was cleanliness of the kitchen. When we arrived in the room, there was still food in the fridge from the previous guest. I called the front desk and someone came immediately to clean it, very apologetic. We then found more food in the cabinets and the following morning we discovered old coffee in the coffee pot. These issues were dealt with, and we would still highly recommend this resort to anyone wanting a nice semi-secluded getaway. It's off the beaten path, but still within decent driving distance of shopping and fine dining.

The room was very nice, although the sofa was not comfortable. We stayed in a junior suite, which was perfect for just the two of us. The architecture and landscaping was pleasant and the pool areas were extremely nice. The only issues we had with this resort was that the management seemed to be asleep at the wheel. There were shortages of pool towels, certain foods that were on the menu at the Fransiscan Café and there were cases of overbooking so a few other vacationers had to endure a split in their accomodations for several hours. The staff was terrific and very helpful and they did a nice job of coordinating activities, but didn't overwhelm us with too much to sift through. Overall a pleasant experience!

Carpets were dirty. If you're traveling in from out of town, definitely look at a map, as this location is not close to anything and may add time local travel plans. They were also light on parking spaces near my room. My room was in a main building and coming in at nine was challenging to find parking anywhere near my building. The front desk service left something to be desired; not personable or friendly.

I was there 5 days and on the last day our room was serviced. Such as vacuum, bed made, trash removed, etc. All the other days a stack of clean towels were placed in the room so I know someone was there.

My wife planed a birthday over night stay here for us and boy was I surprised. The grounds were immaculate. The scenery was so beautiful and relaxing we sat on our private balcony and watched the sun set behind the mountain view. What a beautiful sight!! The only thing that wasn't a 5 was our bed it was only a queen size but that's not a big deal. We are most definatly going back. I would HIGHLY recommend this hotel.

I don't think much of a place that, after you wait ten minutes to check in, makes you wait in line again to get a parking pass so they can give you a sales pitch. Our room had a view of the building next door. The decor and the appointments are cheesy. The parking situation is overcrowded. It was grossly overpriced for what we got. And it wasn't really clean, e.g. gum on the carpet in the bedroom. The soap was nice.

The day before I checked out, I called to ask if I could get my checkout extended from 10am to the 11am industry standard. They told me to call back in the morning. I called back in the morning, and they said no...I had to be out by 10 am. Three different people knocked on my door between 8:30am and 9:45am to ensure that I was going to be out by 10am. I'll take my 5-nights of business somewhere else next time. ...and no free WiFi in 2014!?!

Love this place except... I specifically called and asked about the construction going on and was told it would not affect our stay at a all! Upon arriving at our room..we had nothing but equipment and construction workers outside our windows working! Disappointed but the resort is very nice and people were friendly!

I recently had to travel to Peoria, AZ to visit my daughter for her graduation from college. This hotel location was closest to her home, so I decided to try it. Considering I could not utilize any if their services, I truly can't rate those, even though the list of services looked amazing. I gave this hotel all excellence scores due to the people were very friendly and helpful for my needs, and the room was pleasantly perfect. It was like my own apartment and the price was very affordable compared to the usual chain hotels I stay at for work travel. I would definitely recommend, as well as stay there again on the next visit to Peoria.

Room is nicely laid out but very dirty -- Chinese noodles laying on the refrigerator shelf; black spots on the pillowcases, dirty towels and garbage left outside our door overnight; linen from the last guests stuffed inside the extremely uncomfortable sofa bed. The room was never tidied until 3 pm -- and then they do not touch the kitchen or replenish the condiments, etc., unless you ask but they refused to permit us to remain one hour for "late" check out at 11 a.m. The Spa did not return my call on Thursday about a 9 am appointment until 4 pm the next day, only to tell me that they would have no nail technician until the next Monday. "Resort" is a misnomer for this place.
