      We love the Ashland House! The breakfast, business center and pub next door are great. Just wish the bed was more firm - it was difficult for us to sleep there.

    The only problem with the room was the sink drain. The drain would not open. I reported to front desk and it was repaired while at dinner. Although it was opened, it couldn't be closed. The rest of the stay was fine.

    Hotel was great. We requested a room away from elevators and ice machine in order to be in a quiet area. Staff was kind enough to accommodate our request and the result was an extremely good night's rest without any outside sound interruption. Very clean. Bed was a little firm for my tastes, but pillows and bedding were very comfortable.

    We always enjoy our stay at the Par A Dice. We live an hour away from Peoria and I had to be at the hospital at 5:00 a.m. for surgery so we chose to stay there because it was easy to get to the hospital from there.

    They were in middle of remodel. I just thought they could have put alittle more attention on the mattresses. They seem to be on the hard side. The room decor was beautiful but the beds felt on the cheaper side. I would stay again.

    A pretty nice hotel. Comfy bed, and quiet. I would recommend bringing an air freshener due to the musty smell. I loved being so close to the river also. The staff was very helpful too. I would stay again!

Went for a conference and had several bulk items to carry in (not just at check in) and they could never produce a cart to help assist with hauling it all in. I was told guest hort them in rooms, well after 3 days I still never saw one cart and they never offered assistance.     Very nice, clean hotel. Our room had an awful odor when we first arrived, but with turning on the fan, it seemed to go away. Casino is just a short walk away and was very nice with very friendly staff. I would definitely stay here again.

    When I attempted to check in, the hotel claimed to have not received my reservation from Expedia. My failure was that I did not bring my reservation confirmation that was emailed to me. For someone that travels a lot, I really beat myself up for not remembering. The hotel told me I was out of luck until I confronted them with my itinerary that was saved […] on my iPhone. Once they were presented with this proof, the manager went into the office and 10 minutes later emerged with my reservation from Expedia, stating that it was "lost in the fax machine." She was able to get us a room, but our King bed preference was downgraded to 2 queens. We were comp'd with 2 free breakfast buffets at the casino that I now think we should have been paid to eat. The only bright spot was the fact that I took the casino for more than the value of my room, so it ended on a financial high note. If you book through Expedia, please confirm with the hotel before you arrive and have your documentation with you as there is obviously some kind of communication issue going on. Read more

    Front desk initially not friendly, but ok after 1st meeting. Internet not working first day of stay. In room coffee horrible (as in most hotels). Paper delivered to room was local, not USA Today which had to be purchased. Bottom line - it is a nice hotel, but it is too expensive for what you get.

    Oveall the hotel is a nice place to stay. I did not gamble so I cannot comment on that and I tried to eat at the steakhouse but we "needed a reservation" which i found oddly funny. After all it's not the ritz, just a nice hotel on the river in Peoria. The price was right too.
