Wonderful!!! No put down because of booking with you. Large rom with 4 poster bed, antique furnishings, hardwood floors and modern bath with needle spray shower. Only con: air goes off at nite and room was 81 degrees by morning

We had dined there before and wanted to stay overnight. The room was clean, quaint and had all the basic necessities. We enjoyed the setting in the town of Oxford. The wait staff in the restaurant was very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast that was included in our package was delicious.

Delightful historic building set in a convenient location. The restaurant is particularly good but there is little competition in the surrounding area. The hotel itself is charming and, given its age, the accomodation is rather basic but comfortable and full of character. No TV (thank goodness) but Wi-Fi is available!

Overall all the experience was very good; the food was excellent and the staff very frindly and helpful. we spent our wedding Anniversay there and found it quite conducive for intimacy and romance. The community of Oxford is beautiful and charming.

I am intrigued with colonial inns that still serve as places to lodge and attractive settings, this one by a river. However, it hasn't adapted to an aging population and the trip up stairs to the third floor room was a real problem for someone with mobility issues.

Delightful! a great setting and the room overlooked the water. The bed was very comfortable and the stay was peaceful and quiet, just what we were looking for. The food was also excellent!

The Robert Morris Inn in winter is very quiet. Our accomodations included a king bed in a separate room, a sitting room, and bath and no tv/phone, nicely relaxing. Dinner was in the tavern (we'd hoped for white tablecloth) but the food was superb. We both ordered a glass of prosecco which turned out to be a split. Very respectable wine list. We skipped […] appetizers and both ordered the beef Wellington ($38) which came with fresh sauteed spinach and carrots and was very filling, even without a starch. Dessert was Smith Island cake and coffee. Very satisfying dinner. The prices were easily comparable to DC...Breakfast came with the room and we had a choice of almost anything you could want, from yogurt and fruit to pancakes to eggs Benedict (and fresh-sqeezed OJ). Everything was cooked to order (crisp bacon!). Service at both dinner and breakfast was attentive. It was a great get-away and more than just a nice dinner for Valentine's day. Oxford is very quiet and St. Michael's, about 15 minutes away, is only a bit busier but nothing like the city! Read more

The town of Oxford is small but cute, I wish we could have spent more time there but a weekend is enough. Perfect for a romantic getaway and not too crowded. Feels like you are part of the town. Hotel staff was delightful and accomodating. Hotel food was amazing!

The opportunity to stay at the Robert Morris Inn was not at all disappointing. Although the room we stayed in was small and the Inn had a distinct "smell" which you do get used to, the "feel" of the place was kinda like going back in time and what it might have been like during the pre/post American Revolution era. If that's what you're looking for […] AND also, be right on the "waters" of the Chesapeake Bay, than I believe this is the kind of lodging you want to experience - with of course some modern day conveniences. Staff was very nice, the food we had was very good, and the location ... was the best part of this wonderful experience that you can only have at a place like the "Robert Morris Inn" which continues to welcome travelers for as long as you care to stay! If you are looking to relax, no distractions.....this is the place. Restaurant was outstanding, great wine and food. Service throughout was thoughtful, friendly and superb. if you are looking for TV's, noise, look at a chain in Easton...not the place for you.

The Robert Morris is an old building & although it has been remodeled and made comfortable, it still looks old; floors are not always even and some doorways are quite short. There is no elevator, so you need to be able to walk up stairs. The Inn has a formal dining room and a tavern and the food is wonderful! Usually we try t get away from the hotel […] to eat, but not here. the wait staff are especially well trained and professional. Oxford is a sleepy little town but nearby St. Michael is hopping with tourist-oriented shops and restaurants. The Robert Morris is across from the ferry landing that cuts the distance to St. Michael's down to 7 miles, so it's actually the best of both worlds-- quiet for long walks and sleeping in, but convenient for shopping and sightseeing. The only drawback to our stay was that our room overlooked the back of the house and the kitchen fan made a fair amount of noise; we only noticed because the windows were open to let in the great weather. With a beautiful view of the Tred Avon River, the Robert Morris Inn is a great place to stay. Dinner on the front porch at sunset, what's not to like. Nice area for bicyclists.

Everything about our stay at the Robert Morris Inn was perfect, from their famous crab cakes to the view out our room window directly at the Oxford Bellevue ferry. A perfect way to enjoy this classic Colonial town on Maryland's Eastern Shore.
