Excellent service,location and comfort. Highly recommend it to all. We had 5 adults and 2 children in a two bedroom w/ bunks and had plenty of room.

We just arrived back home and already miss the beach, but isn't that how it always is? We had read several negative reviews about Calypso but our experience was great. We arrived very early and the staff got us into our room four hours early. The room was clean, the staff very hospitable, and the proximity to Pier Park was great. Close to live music, […] beachfront restaurants, and decent drinking establishments. Visit the Tiki Bar on Calypso's property for great drink specials and a wonderful view. LOVED the condo - I've stayed at many condos on the beach in PC but this one was the best. Hotels.com was great and the condo was great. The service with regard to on-site check in was not so great. I felt as though I was being hassled a bit because I made the purchase through a "wholesaler". They initially put me in a cheaper unit with a floor plan […] that was different than I reserved and it reeked of smoke. They blamed this mess up on the "wholesaler" even though my reservation clearly indicated which type of unit I reserved. Felt like I was getting the "leftovers" as a result of my "wholesaler purchase" status. That being said, when I asked them to correct the problem, they did and they gave me the floor plan I reserved - and a condo that exceeded expectations in every way. My only suggestion for the room itself would be to offer wi-fi, even if you have to pay for it, it would be nice to have the option. Read more

I like the location, it was very clean and Kitchen was awesome. Bring your own KAT5 internet cord or be prepared to buy one when you get there. The Sofa Bed was bad. To sleep on and to sit on - I think it must have been broken. The King mattress was bad. My back still hurts....48 hours later. The Room Numbers are very confusing, the after hours desk […] where you get your code from don't understand the room numbers either....we were told our room number was "1907" nineteen-o-seven....we went to room "1907" displayed as "1-907" and both were wrong. Our room number was literally "1-1907"..... When they tell you your room number, put a "1" in front of it....at least for the "east" tower.....Maybe the 'west" tower is "2-1907".....I don't know, I didn't take the time to look, anyway, it's very confusing.....especially when you get there at midnight. This was my 2nd time staying @ this location. It is NOT a hotel or resort! They do NOT clean the room/give clean towels/provide much service. It is like you are renting a house. CONS: The both bathroom doors were broken, there was no wifi and hardly any signal on our cellphones. Their hallways and elevators are pretty small considering the size of their buildings. I love the location of the condos. My only problem was the sleeper sofa was the most uncomfortable I have ever encountered. Actual beds were fine though, I know this is probably purchased by the individual owner and is not a sterling owner issue. office closed at 8pm, we arrived at 7:45. If we missed it, we would have had NO place to stay that evening. Overhead light/ceiling fan combo in bedroom did not work AT ALL. Try getting dressed and organizing the dresser drawer with a tiny bedside light.... not easy. Reported to front desk, they sent someone who left us a remote control for the living […] room fan??!! The condo itself was decorated nicely; however, the balcony furniture was broken, as well as a few items in the condo i.e. blender cracked, decorative piece broken. The staff is NOT friendly and seemed quite bothered with just about everything from check-in to request of new blender. The pools are okay, but I personally prefer more oasis type of pool. […] Rooms usually come with a card for beach chairs which is nice. The only problem with that is you have be at the beach rental hut by 6:30 am and wait on the guys to arrive sometimes as late as 7:30 to assign you your chairs which will most likely be on the back row with little breeze. Yea, little breeze even on the beach. I am not totally bashing this place, I have actually stayed here twice, due to walking convenience of Pier Park, but I plan to venture to a new destination for future trips. Read more

It was the most comfortable for everybody, I had 5 kids from 16 up to 24 and they all had a blast!! 4 of July walk to almost everything , the Pier Park is amazing for Fun and Shopping etc! We even had a kid from Spain with us & was surprised!

Hotel is nice, staff was friendly...but pools were way to small for the amount of guests staying there. People would just put their things on the chairs to reserve them a spot and leave. They definitely need more chairs by the pools. The pool opened at 9 and when we got there at 9:20 there was no where for us to sit...a little disappointed.

We had a wonderful experience at the Calypso. We stayed on the 17th floor and had fabulous views from the kitchen/dining/living room and the master bedroom. The room was very comfortable, well appointed and had more than enough space for our family of 6. It had one of the most comfortable beds we've ever had at a hotel. There were plenty of pillows, […] towels and blankets for all the guests. We loved being right off of the beach. The hotel was quiet when we went (May 24-27) and security was present to make sure everything was right. The elevators, breezeways, and public bathrooms were always cleaned. Loved our stay at Calypso! Everything about the room was excellent even down to the balcony. The balcony was huge with several chairs, even a lounge chair, which was nice. The view was amazing and the water was so clear in this area that we watched sting rays every morning swimming close to the shore line. Nice place to stay as far as walking distance to Pier Park. Very close to the road so the noise is very difficult at night. The air conditioner was set on econ so it would readjust itself and got too hot at night. Beach was clean, pool was nice & clean.

This is our third time this year. We came during Fall break when the weather was just perfect and the beach not too crowded . The suite is nicely decorated with style and in immaculate condition (suite 1207) . We are considering to purchase a one bedroom unit w/2 baths on the upper floors.

The booked rooms had bed bugs. Our company had a few guys down there on business and they arrived late at the hotel to discover bed bugs in their rooms. It took a long time to get ahold of the management (about two hours), as they are not onsite at night, and then after getting ahold of them, it took over 45 minutes for the manager to get to the hotel. […] They arrived with an exterminator and immediately sent to work making sure that they got their belongings cleaned and cleaning the rooms. It seems they have a good procedure in place to handle the situation, however it took entirely too long to get the problem addressed. And needless to say the men didn't get any sleep that night and had a very full day of meetings to follow. They were offered another room, however felt uncomfortable staying and were moved to another resort. Read more

I had a 1 bedroom condo, which had master bedroom with bathroom, bunk beds in hallway, laundry, kitchen, livingroom, bathroom and balcony. All gulf front.
