Even the most basic studio room is very large - with a divan, dinette area, small kitchen, good size bathroom - with washer drier - and lots of closet and shelf space. This is the second time that I have stayed at the Lee Garden Apartments. A quick trip to Beijing with three kids required a great location and enough beds to accommodate all of us. Lee Garden Apartments was perfect! This was my second stay at Lee Gardens Service Apt. in two years. The location is to my mind absolutely per-fect, it is almost next door to the Peninsula, where I have also stayed. The people working there are all very nice, and helpful. I stayed in a studio with twin beds, a small, functional kitchen, with microwave, electric coffee pot, and two burner […] stove. It was nice to have a cup of coffee or tea in the room. The only complaint I have about Lee Garden, is the beds are very hard, but I knew that from my last stay. If you bring your own lap- top computer, or Ipad, you get free wi-fi in your rate. Do not under any circumstances, use the computer in the business office, or coffee shop, as they charge about $30-$40 USD per hour!!! Room was nice and quiet, double glass pane sliding doors. Bathroom had good lighting, as did the entire room. Shower worked well, and if you need it there is a combination clothes washer/dryer in the bathroom for your use. I would highly recommend this Service Apartment, and would stay there again should I ever return to Beijing. The cost is about half the price of staying at the Peninsula or Regent, but in virtually the same location. The building could use some freshening up, perhaps some paint, and get the carpeting cleaned. All in all a good 4 star (not 5) choice. The front desk, and doormen are all particularly nice, and Mae Zhang is the duty mgr. in the coffee shop and rates an A+ for her sweetness and help. Sheets and towels are changed daily, and there is adequate storage space. There is a gym in the basement, which I did not use, and a dining room I did not use. Well-equipped exercise room. 5-minute walk to Wangfujing Street or Dadong subway station (connecting point for several subway lines). This hotel has a excellent location! One block from Wang Fu Jing street, walking distants to Tian An Men Square and Forbidden city. It is very close to a night food market, and Wang Fu Jing food street. But the condition of this hotel need some improvement. We statyed in their two bedroom apartment, from Hotel.com's website, they claim they have two […] options for the 2nd bedroom, either one big bed, or two single beds. But they didn't give you the option to choose when making the reservation. We reserved this hotel with its two beds in 2nd bedroom in mind. When we arrived, we got one bed in 2nd bedroom, when asked for two beds, I was informed that they only have 3 this kind of apartment in the whole building, and two of them are occupied by long term residents. In another word, they don't really have this kind of apartment available as they claimed. The front desk person suggested to add a bed to the apartment, but told me that if I have checked the 2 beds option in my reservation form, they will add a bed to the apartment for free, since I didn't do so, I have to pay 200 yuan per night for the bed. I don't mind to pay 200 for the extra bed, since that is less than what we have paid for in other hotels( 300 yuan per night), but I told her I was never given a chance to check this two bed option, why should I still pay for not getting it? She said that is against their rules. Now, what is the logic here? Condition of the hotel is not excellent, it is not new, hall way is dark and ceiling is low, so walking in the hallway feels depressing. Size of room is quite big, consider it's location. But it give out a sense of bare and old, not cozy or new. I don't know if the condition of their apartments are all the same, the one we stayed, wall paper is dirty, half the wall behind the paper seems darker than the other half. We stayed at Lee Garden for 7 nights. Our party was myself and husband and our son, 21, and daughter, 17. We had requested a 2 bedroomed apartment with 2 single beds for the kids. As there were no single beds, we were given a complimentary upgrade to a 3 bed apartment, each with a bathroom. On our last night one was able to get a taxi van for us to the airport for only 320 yuen. (We had paid twice that price on the way in.) The location was perfect for all the main tourist sightsWe walked to Tianamen Square to see in New Year and returned there the next day to experience the Forbidden City. The apartments are located right on the main shopping street with lots of other shopping areas around. There is a small supermarket just 3 minutes around the corner and many restaurants in the shopping centre just on the next block. A taxi rank is right next door to take you wherever you wish. All in all, a wonderful place to stay, much better than any hotel. Excellent location and a real home for the duration of our stay. We ate once in the restaurant which was fine but we never got time to use the pool or gym. I would certainly recommend Lee Garden to anyone and would definitely stay again if in Beijing. Read more

For a family who were out and about all day long but wanted some of the comforts and independence of home, this hotel was simply perfect. disappointing，doesn't worth a 4-stars rating for sure. official website stated that every one-bedroom suite got Terrance, however， the receptionist told us that only "delux one bedroom suite" got Terrance but it was not stated on the website nor in hotels.com, felt like being cheated. The rm was reli big for 2 people, a bit old compared with the photos, […] our rm smelt wif heavy cigarettes and we had to request for rearrangement, no staff were there to help so we had to move the luggages on our own, which was not satisfying as a service apartment. We used to hang The "clean up" sign on our door to remind staff for tidying up, one day the sign got turned over n it became "do not disturb", eventually no one came Tidy up n refill stuff , we came back at night n called them for help but they refused to do the clean up as there's only one cleaning staff serving whole apartment at night time, so we had to stayed in a messy rm for our last night, the staff did come and got us some refills though. N there was the waterpipe maintainance the last night we stayed， dirty muddy water kept running out fr pipe the next morning, advise u not to stay here for short trip. We had a 2-bedroom suite and it was spacious, well-lit, airy, and relatively clean. The kitchen had a clothes washer, but we had to buy our own laundry and dishwashing soap. We left ours but it makes no sense to have these amenities but not the soap. The beds were very firm and the pillows were extremely soft. There was AC in each of the rooms and the […] living area. The generous-sized pool is underground (B1), not heated, is aprox 1.4m all around. There is a hot tub. The change rooms are cavernous and well provided for but there was standing water, the shower stalls needed a good clean and mold growth is evident. The apartment had an ensuite 4-pc washroom with mold around the bottom of the toilet but all washrooms ware relatively clean and provided for. The reception staff were hospitable and friendly but several only had rudimentary English and seemed to be instructed to "sell" the 2nd floor restaurant, which is pricey with low quality and quantity. The doormen were equally friendly and helpful and were referred by reception for info about restaurants etc. There are a generous number of lifts/elevators and they are fast, quiet and you need your key fob for your floor. There is internet access via an ethernet cable, but no wifi (you have to go the 2nd floor for that - and in general, it's slow). In general, Lee Garden provides an above-average value for money stay in an expensive city and it is walking distance to Wangfujing and the Forbidden. Read more
