"Clean and right next to Highway"
We have stayed at different hotels on are way from Ohio to Hilton Head Island. We stayed in Wytheville and Statesville and Elkin, Jonesville. It takes about 61/2 hours to get to with one stop from Ohio. Then about 51/2 to Hilton Head. There is not much in the area one Restaurant and a gas station. I read in Trip Advisor the food at the restaurant is […] good Southern BBQ. I did not eat there. The room was clean and the staff was very friendly. Bed was comfortable no bugs anywhere. There is some highway noise but you are right by the Highway. There is Wi-Fi and a old TV no flat screen but that was ok . There is no breakfast, but for the price that was ok. We arrived at 9:30 and were on the road the next day at 7. Basically it was clean and convenient to Highway. We have been travelling to Hilton Head for 20 years so we have tried a lot of hotels. So like I have said it is clean and I would recommend it Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Just stopped to sleep"
We only stopped to sleep from a night if driving. That is all I would stay. No fridge, sink in main room, no wifi (although posted). Highway was really close and could be heard all night. Left at 6:15 the next morning. It was a means to an end.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good, cheap, clean lodging"
I really enjoyed my stay at this establishment. I was in town for a wedding, and picked this hotel due to its location next to the interstate exit and price (less than half the quoted price for the hotel recommended by the wedding party). It's a bit dated, and there's not much in the vicinity, but the friendliness and helpfulness of the manager and […] the cleanliness of the room more than make up for its age. I had a number of questions over the course of my two-day stay and the manager helpfully answered them all. I would stay here again if ever in the area, no doubt about it. Highly recommended. "5 Stars and 5 more Stars!"
omg! It is easy to find, back of a gas station and restaurant. NICE location. The interstate is literally at your "front door" if you love to hear the roar of the traffic - yet - close the door and you won't hear it at all! The only "thing missing" was no little package of tissues :-) Seriously, I would HIGHLY recommend this motel. Especially if your […] destination is Jonesville or Elkin, just turn right out of the lot and go straight into town! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"cheap and clean"
The owner was a very nice man. Do not think you are going to be staying at a major chain hotel. The room was outdated but was very clean and again the owner was very nice during the early hours of the morning. The room was also half the price of any surrounding motel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Overall, a disapointment: in bad need of remodeling, no coffee in the room, only one restaurant near, & hard to find--only a small sign hidden behind a gas station!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
clean older hotel definately showing its age. very nice folks running it. beds/linens were all very clean, no stains, no stinks or smells, no bugs. Older building showing its age though.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Key didn't work, had to go back to office and tell them. He brought another key and used it but said sometimes it is hard to open the door. Ice machine did not work very well. Beds were comfortable.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Is not bad at all for a cheap hotel"
If you're looking for a cheap and normal hotel, this is it.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I do not recommend this place. It is an older motel with uncomfortable beds and it has seen better days. Though the room was clean and decently maintained, there were a couple bugs in the room. We check in very late and it was the only one available for many miles due to a music festival. The owners dog was tied up outside the hotel and barked all night, […] literally. We didn't complain in the middle of the night because we thought the dog belonged to a neighboring house. When we complained the next day the owner was unapologetic. We reserved a queen bed but got the last room that had a full size. When we complained the manager tried to convince us that it was actually a queen bed, just a "different size" queen bed. He then took us to another room that still had a family in it and tried to get us to look through the window into their room (the family was in there looking back at us) to prove he was right about the size of the bed. Unbelievable! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Heading to Snowshoe, WV for NY 2014"
01/09/14 susan32765 Oviedo, Florida
We stayed overnight here on our way up to snowshoe for a family vacation. Of course, they welcomed our pet that was also vacationing with her family. She, most of all, was excited to be accepted by the hotel. This made it possible for her to vacation with her family. The hotel was very accomodating and clean and warm. Thank you for having our entire family.

Hotel is basic clean with comfortable. Front desk clerk was helpful beyond my expectations. Nearby advertised restaurant was closed Sunday evening when we arrived and when we left Monday am ... disappointing.
"Update - pretty good value for the price."

So I gave this a bad review a couple of years ago but the recent reviews made me want to try it again. This is a very, very basic motel, but it did have microwave and fridge, was clean and our room with a king bed was spacious for a motel and had a little table and two chairs. There is no breakfast, no coffee in the room, no hair dryer, but it is comfortable enough and has a TV and darn good free wireless Internet. It is a short walk to Glenn's Restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. I am rating this restaurant separately but will say it's a good value for a couple to spend around $80 for dinner, hotel and then breakfast.

I thought, being near the highway that we would be bothered by the noise. But we were not. If you are looking for an inexpensive nights sleep this is a good bet. No frills but you get what you pay for.
"Suited it's purpose"
10/27/13 Bruce S Hyde Park, New York
Due to race at Martinsville & football game at Virginia Tech other hotels in the area had jacked up their rates and refusing to pay the higher price stayed on the road until reaching here. Place is dated for sure, but if you over look that fact, it was just what I needed. A place to lay my head and have a cup of coffee in the morning, which is all they offer. So if you need such a hotel I'd recommend spending the night, price fit what I received in return.
"Flies in the room"
06/01/13 RunawayJimPVD Providence, RI
Stayed here on a last minute change of plans during a road trip. I was supposed to go camping, but it was thunderstorming and I decided rather than trying to camp with my dog, I'd stay in a motel. As the title says, there were flies in the room, like fruit flies. All over the place. Being tired from driving and having my dog with me, I didn't complain. It wasn't worth it for one night. The bed wasn't very comfortable. The guy at the desk recommended a nearby restaurant for dinner, which was terrible. He described it as "home cooked meal". It was anything but that (but that has nothing to do with the motel). The place wasn't super clean. The carpet had stains. The room smelled a bit. The air conditioner was a window unit stuck in a hole in the wall in the far back of the room and was loud and not overly effective. The bed had a flat sheet for the bottom sheet, which didn't even fit the mattress completely. I'm pretty seasoned when it comes to staying in cheap motels. This place was $39 for the night with a $10 pet fee. But while it was very cheap, it needed a bit more TLC and more recommendations for food than the crappy restaurant that shares a parking lot.
"basic but adaquate"

Best price for area. We stopped on the way to S.C. for a night's sleep and Raj treated us well. There is no breakfast but for the money saved you could buy a nice breakfast and have money to spare. The rooms could use updating and the upper floor was a little noisy because the rooms are so close to the highway but for the price you can't beat it.
"Good rate for hotel along Interstate"
04/11/13 Tiger S Fairmont, West Virginia, United States
Usually hotels next to the Interstate go for a premium but not this one. On-Line booking was a snap through their website as a first-time customer. Room was clean and temperature adjustments user-friendly. Got a good nights rest. I always ask for a ground level unit if possible because I like to have my motorcycle right in front of my room. No problems with parking at all.
"Great Night's Sleep at Good Value"
12/02/12 RetiredRidgecrest_CA Ridgecrest, CA
I am a 75 year old retiree and a seasoned car traveler. I look for value in a motel and can tolerate many motel shortcomings as I carry with me most of the things that motels may lack and I am a sound sleeper. I look for a cheap, fairly clean room with a somewhat comfortable bed and a shower with plenty of hot water and good pressure. Bugs don't bother me but I saw none here. I booked this motel for Saturday, l10/07/12 through the ABVI website for $49.61 total with the 15% Value Club discount but was later advised by "Raj", the manager and a very pleasant and congenial man, that a direct call to him at the motel (336-835-2261) would get you a better rate. The motel is located off I-77 at exit 79,and set back off the road on Hwy 21 behind and between a BP gas station and a restaurant. Check-in went smoothly and my Discover card was accepted. My room was basic, quiet, clean and comfortable, as was the bathroom, and both were free of bugs and/or odors and the bed and bath linen were clean and likewise stain and odor free. The bath towels were of the extra large and extra soft variety and the bed was the most comfortable I had slept in on my 18 nights on the road in various motels. Pleanty of hot water a good water pressure. Coffee and sweet rolls in the lobby in the morning. Great value and a great stay.

I have stayed here twice over the last couple of months. Definitely a great price. I have not noticed any dirty or messy issues mentioned by other reviewers.Convenient location for the interstate. Front desk has been pleasant. I would rank as a good value
