The lighting was difficult for applying make-up--too many shadows. The shower was not good for us--too much water on the floor and too slippery. Were we in a handicap room? The location was peaceful with parks and easy access to public transportation.

Large apartment but in need of modernisation and a touch of style, quite basic, communal hallways were shabby and in need of painting. That said, facilities were very good, full kitchen, huge living area. Best bit for me was the location and proximity to the southbank, the city and all the best bits to do in Melbourne. Very nice location and atmosphere. the car park was a little expensive on my opinion ($25) the only downside is the fact that they did not follow my instructions on booking. I requested for a twin arrangement and i found a queen on arrival. It might have been the staff, however, this shouldnt have happened.

the Hotel was warm and freindly with excellent service. The location was fantastic so close to South Bank and a hop skip and a jump to the inner city. Will be back again!

This hotel is in a great location, close to city, transport, cafes, restaurants, entertainment. The apartment itself was clean and well stocked. Highly recommended property !!

This apartment was easy to drive to (and is also located close to public transport) and park in. Check in was a breeze; numerous staff greeted us and explained information about breakfast, entering hotel after hours etc. The room was elegant and suited out requirements. They put my in a room that had no natural light coming in - the balcony had a 9 foot high "fence" covering it. It was so claustraphobic and it's on one of the main streets through the back end of Southbank. It looked nothing like the photos on the web.

We were lucky to be upgraded to a Spa room, which in the end was poor for the following reasons:- - We were over a major road and the raod noise was load enough to be heard whilst sleeping and over the TV when on. - The walls had marks on them. - There was hair in the bathroom. - The lounge was old and had marks like ong term sweet stains on the cushions. Good location, close to Southbank, and near by supermarket. Walking distance to Flinders street station. Comfortable beds and pillows. Everything you need for a home away from home. Can open windows for fresh air, which is nice. Smoke free - great. Only thing we missed was a TV in bedroom. Would recommend.

We booked a spa room at the Mantra Southbank for our anniversary. Unfortunately there was a mix up with the booking and we didn't get the room we booked. When we told staff member Thomas he was sincerely apologetic and explained that being a Saturday night the hotel was fully booked so we couldn't get an upgrade to another room. Instead we were offered […] a choice of dinner or breakfast in the hotel restaurant. We chose dinner. When we went to the restaurant they were expecting us and greeted us with friendly smile, nothing was too much for them. We enjoyed a 2 course meal (only because we were too full for desert as well) and cocktails. One of the girls from the desk was serving us and making sure we had everything we wanted. The food and the service we received from all the hotel and restaurant staff was outstanding. They turned around something that was disappointing and made it a night to remember. Other good points, the room was clean and nice and the location is good, you can easily walk to the casino and the city and make sure you head up to the top floor for a swim and a spa. Read more
