stayed at 3.14 hotel in 2007, returned JUNE 2008, JUST NOT AS GOOD, ROOM MAIDS WERE SLOPPY AND OFTEN FORGOT TO PUT LOO ROLLS IN ROOM AND WHEN THEY DID THERE WAS NEVER A SPARE ONE, BECAME A PAIN HAVING TO RING DOWN FOR ONE. WE FELT THAT ROOM WAS VERY BADLY LIT AND LOOKED VERY TIRED FOR THE COST OF STAYING THERE., WE LOOKED AT OTHER HOTELS CHEAPER THAN THIS ONE AND THEY HAD MUCH LARGER ROOMS AND MORE LIGHT. wOKEN UP EVERY MORNING BY STAFF GOING TO WORK AT THE CARLTON HOTEL AND BY ALL THEIR DELIVERIES. Also the Carlton are building a large block of flats across the road so our view was that of a building site, not what you want on holiday, this will go on for some time yet as they have only just started work. In all the hotel has gone down and we would not go back again.

Overall enjoyed stay for 9 nights staff could do with being sharper ,relaxed is good but more smiles and training would help. Hotel is a cross between kitsch , avantgarde and sex hotel check out the goodies for sale in the shop.Mmm different. Our room was large (deluxe)and reasonably well decorated in a vaguely asian style -low large bed, red side lighting and buddah for inspiration(?)above the bed, with other general atmosphere inducing bits and bobs.Heating /air con was super efficient as was the endless supply of hot water in the ikea inspired bathroom.Hotel responded well to requests for extra towels/ironing board /hangers /soaps/spare key cards /bag delivery and collection. Downstairs the service lacked direction in the bar area. All that being said the hotel is well positioned next to the carlton and virtually on the croisette.Roof pool area was lovely although weather not good enough for frolicking in the jacuzzi. Parking tip dont use the hotel for 30e per day as you can park in the next street to the west for only 3euros 8am to 2 p.m Hotel would benefit from having a business centre although if you bring your own lap top there is internet access. We would revist ! Would revisit

My favourite things about this place are the rooftop pool & the great location. We had requested a twin room but on arrival got a double room on the European floor. VERY pink, was glad to move to twin room the following day on Oceanic. Overall, thought this was a great place to stay, just off Croissette, view of beach from roof, right in the centre of all the shops, restaurants & bars. Would definately go back & recommend to my friends

Reviewed by Ron of New York on Jan 31, 2009
Avoid this hotel at all costs !!!! This 3.14 Hotel is "all show, and no substance" .... I was in Cannes in Jan. 2009 along with 10000 other participants at the international MIDEM music business conference .... It became very clear to me just how much this hotel had decided to take advantage of the situation, predatorily over-charge unjustifiably and ruthlessly, and provide a truly marginal and forgettable experience ... although the aesthetic elements in the hotel would suggest the possibility of an experience of the highest caliber, indeed the staggering lack of attention to detail and wanton arrogance of the staff and pricing practices left me with absolutely no desire to ever return there, let alone recommend this place to even my worst enemy ... I was charged an insanely high room-rate for a "Superior" room that was anything but... the room was unbelievably small, confined, adorned with a fleabag motel-quality tv displaying 5 channels (not the norm in Europe any longer), an incredibly un-nerving set of light switches, and a bed that was not attached to the bedframe such that each time I got in it, it slid away from the headboard by at least 1 foot ... the hotel was not located on a main street in Cannes but rather a side street with fundamentally a "stretch-your-head-way-way-out-over-the-balcony-to-catch-a-glimpse-of-the-waterfront" kind of view ... no internet connection via wifi or in-room ethernet connection (even the local McDonald's offered free wifi), and I was even told by the hotel concierge to steal wifi from the Carlton hotel across the road ... unconcsionable, indeed unbelievable, considering what I was paying per night ... My room over looked a construction dirt-pit, worker noise began early in the morning ... and finally, and most proposterous, every hotel room in europe offers a continental breakfast as part of the room price, but at the 3.14 you could be "privildeged" to have the breakfast for an incredibly and unbelievably expensive amount of

After reading a number of reviews before booking this hotel i was expecting something a little funky/themed, but what i found was so charming and individual that i am still smiling, the lobby and rooms are beautiful, with each floor adopting a different continent as its theme. I found the staff very helpful (speaking reasonable french may also have helped) who went out of their way to recommend bars/restaurants etc Very enjoyable stay and will be going back soon

They even put LOVE KITS on our beds when we arrived. Overall, you get a feeling of staying in a MAGICAL place that is out of our world. Thank you guys!!!
