Spent one night here while visiting Fort Lauderdale. I was attracted to the fact it wasn't a big chain hotel and it was with in walking distance of restaurants, beach and shopping. My drink at the pool was expensive and the quality wasn't great. The pool area was overlooking the beach which was beautiful the the area itself could use some work. Service was good. I went to Atlantic with a group of girlfriends for the weekend celebrating a 40th Birthday. We had the 2 queen ocean view room with a balcony and the views were amazing! Management must have a secret to create such a wonderful atmosphere where every employee is so friendly and happy. The rooms are condo size with high end fixtures, granite counters, Flat panel TV's, Bose stereo's, Bose clock radio's and all new carpets. Kitchen's with fridge and cooktops. We came to Fort Lauderdale to pick up our cruise ship to the caribbean and wanted to have extra days to explore the area upon our return. We stayed here one night before our cruise and then the four nights following. The hotel rooms are spacious and very upscale, with crown moulding, comfy sheets, down pillows, comfortable beds (as good as the so called […] "heavenly bed" by Westin), first class 42 inch flat screen tv and all HD channels, balcony with sliding door, The bathroom is extra large and first rate with separate tub and shower, two sinks, and the tub is large enough for a deep bath, kitchen features including stove, microwave, sink, refrigerator, and drawers with cooking utensils, silverware, pots and pans and plates and bowls. There is also room service, quiet A/C, friendly and professional staff, and a concierge who really helped us plan some excursions. For our four nights after the cruise, our particular room was the ocean front 2 queen bed suite on floor 11. The view is amazing. The staff was friendly, from the bellman to the front desk to the restaurant on site. The hotel also has a spa and pool, with the pool being on the 5th floor so it has a great view of the coast and beach. The spa is first rate, as good as any you might find in a high end hotel. Some have commented on the overnight parking fee of $28 and that you have to valet. This is not uncommon for beach front hotels where parking is at a premium. Read more

This hotel is located right on the beach and just north of the famous Las Olas Avenue shopping district in Fort Lauderdale. The rooms have full kitchen (stove, microwave, sink, refrigerator) fully stocked with dishes, utensils, and pots and pans so you can eat in your room if you wish. The front desk staff is very professional and friendly. Like most […] hotels in this area, there is a fee for parking as you have to valet, which is $29 per day. This is not unusual for beach front properties. When I say beach front, I really mean across the street, but the ocean front views are unmatched. There is a full sized spa which takes up an entire floor, pool, restaurant and they provide coffee in the lobby. And yes, there is a concierge (Sheryl) who is terrific and helped us set up several excursions including a great river cruise past the millionaire homes and a air boat ride in the everglades. This is a four star hotel and deserves its rating. The room we had was spacious and had a nice south facing view down the beach. The rooms are every bit as good as any upscale weston and the beds were very comfortable. The bathroom has separate shower and tub. These units are basically timeshare condos which the hotel rents out for the owners, but they are all standardized rooms, just as you would expect at a hotel. Taxi ride to cruise port from Atlantic, 20 bucks. Taxi from cruise port to airport 15 bucks. Taxis in Ft Lauderdale are extremely plentiful, just dial all 7's (taxi fares include nice tips). Side side note: Recommend taking your time on cruise embarkation day and cabbing to a nice lunch or lounging by the pool at the Atlantic. Radio from the pool's bar was too loud. It felt like a college spring break and not the upscale resort hotel they claim. A wedding reception was held near the pool and they let the band play until 10:00 pm. That was another quiet evening by the beach wasted. This hotel is more for the college crowd than the 30 and over crowd.

Here are some comments: TV was large, room was quiet, bathroom was large, separate tub and shower, great water pressure, fast and easy to use Internet, staff was friendly. The only downside was that parking was $28 a day. I was not aware of that.

I only have one complaint about my stay at this hotel and that is they don't seem to have an airport shuttle service, nor a relationship with any particular airport car or shuttle service. I called the front desk and requested a 5:30a.m. taxi for an early morning flight out of Fort Lauderdale Airport. Later that evening, when I came in from dinner I […] requested that they change my departure time to 6:00a.m. for the taxi ride. Unfortunately, they did not do so and the taxi arrived at 5:30a.m. instead of 6:00a.m. I was told that this was because the second frontdesk attendant did not know what taxi service was called for the original pickup time. This could have been avoided if they had arranged it through any airport shuttle service. Other than that small issue, I enjoyed my stay. It is a beautiful property.
