Shangri-La Hotel New Delhi - New Delhi

From the minute they met me at the airport, the service was wonderful! I stayed on the Horizon floor which has a delicious breakfast and happy hour in the evening, after a long day of sightseeing. Located in Connaught Place close to many major sites and shopping. Beautiful room with a king size bed and wonderful L'Occtaine soaps and creams.

Indeed, a real palace in the center of Delhi for the price of a three star hotel in the US or Europe. Perfect in every way. For business or leasure. Try the lounge at the 19th floor!

Firstly, let me explain that we visited this hotel on our honeymoon and the room was booked by a relative as a gift. Initially we were impressed by the hotel's lobby. Everything was beautiful and the staff was very friendly. The trouble started at check-in. We requested a non-smoking room they told us the only available room was on a smoking floor. […] We were put right next the elevator. When we got to the room it was very small. I was quite surprised at the size based on how expensive the nightly rate was. After about 15 minutes in the room we started hearing a loud buzzing noise. We complained 2 about this over the course of our 2 night stay though it was never resolved. When we attempted to contact our family is the US we found that our phone didn't work. Everytime we needed to make a call we had to call the front desk and have them connect the call. The worst came when my wife decided to take a shower only to find that we had no cold water. Not in the sink. Not in the shower. We had to wait two hours until this was fixed. Overall this was the most disappointing hotel experience we have ever had. And at a supposedly 5 star hotel? This hotel may put on the appearance but the quality is definitely not there! Read more

We had reserved an executive suite. Upon arrival at 9:30pm (late flight), we requested an extra bed for a very tired child; we did not get it until we requested a manager at our third phone call at 11:30pm. There is a disco on the ground floor. We could hear the music 6 floors up. When we complained, we were told the disco had priority. Eventually, […] we requested the manager visit our room. Once he realized the noise issue he apologized and got the disco to turn the bass sound down, by then it was 1:30am. Two of the four nights, they forgot to do turn-down service on our room..... I'll stop there. We were offered the extra bed and a driver for one afternoon for free. It would have preferred to pay full price and not have all the annoyances. We had apologies every day but there were new issues every day! Do not got there for 5-star service! The exercise room and the lockers-showers-spa are great (sauna, steam, refrigerated shower, jacuzzi,...). We enjoyed the hotel's restaurants. Read more

My overall thought on this place is not very good. The hotel is very nice but I wasn't satisfied with the service. I felt like it wasn't worth the money I spend. Maybe I'm use to good service if I'm paying top dollar but that's what is expected in a 5 star hotel right?. I wouldn't stay there again. There are so many other nice places.

This hotel is near street shops where you can get good deals and still feel like you can get away from the commotion of the city. The exercise room and spa facilities are great. The staff is very professional too.

今回はホライゾンクラブで予約しました。到着時の送迎やホテルのセキュリティ対応は他の方が書かれている通りです。シャンプー等のアメニティがロクシタンだったのがうれしいサプライズでした。朝食は最初１９階のクラブラウンジで頂きましたが、ここは景色は良くても品数が少なかった為、翌日はロビー階のウノ２ゴーにしました。こちらは和洋ともバラエティ豊かで、ご飯や海苔やヤクルトまであり、まあまあよかったです。（お味噌汁は出汁の味はまったくせず、ほんとにミソスープでしたが）昼間の外出時は入口のベルボーイさんから都度ミネラルウォーターのペットボトルを頂き、これも助かりました。私が行った時は、ホテルからコンノートプレイスに向かう道路が地下鉄工事中の為、道路が狭くなり時間帯によっては通行止めとなった為、行きも帰りもかな […] り遠回りになりました。とにかく、ホテル内はインドとは思えない快適さで、女性一人にもおすすめです。 Read more

初めてのインド滞在だったのですが、 とても快適に過ごすことができました。 テロがあったせいか、ｾｷｭﾘﾃｨもかなり厳重で 必ずホテルに入る際にはｾｷｭﾘﾃｨﾁｪｯｸが有、やや面倒ではありましたが、その分安心して過ごすことが出来ました。客層のほとんどは欧米のBUSINESS客。 時期的にも日本人に会うことは殆どありませんでしたが、 従業員は皆英語も通じるので非常に便利で快適でした。 ﾎﾗｲｽﾞﾝｸﾗﾌﾞで泊ったのですが、朝ごはんもおいしく、 午後のカフェや夕方のHAPPY HOUR等かなり充実しており、このグレードでの滞在をお勧めします！
