Our room was quite lovely. Very clean, although a tad older. The price was reasonable. The front desk people were delightful. The breakfast was good,... but standard. The shampoo, soap, and lotion in the room itself was a notch up in luxury. The in-room coffee was very good. The view of the ocean was wonderful. We totally enjoyed our stay. The young man at the front desk was very nice and accomodating! The breakfast was really good and organized. Our room was cleaned to perfection. And our view was amazing! But what I'll remember are the cute little signs posted around the lobby! Someone is very clever!

Everything was mostly okay. The free breakfast was pretty much as expected, but having it available until 10 a.m. was a nice touch. The room had a few things that could be spruced up, but overall, was very satisfactory. The ocean front view and balcony are selling points. The "fitness center" needs more and much better equipment, however.

gold beach resort had great accommodations for the $$ it was clean, easy to find, the folks were really helpful with where to eat as we came in late (and are vegan). they had a complementary breakfast which was really nice ( a couple options for vegans). all in all for the price paid i would have expected less.

The room was very large and had a large private deck. We were on the upper floor so we had a great view of the ocean. Lower levels do not. This is a very old building but they have modernized the important areas, like the bathrooms, tv and bedding. If there was a complaint, it would be the breakfast. Not a nice place to eat, way too crowded (and we […] were in the off season) and a poor selection of items. We tried to eat there, but ended up leaving and finding food elsewhere. To top it off; when you picked up your dishes to put them in a spot for the staff to put away, they make you scrape your plates and separate your silverware from your cup and plate. No service here. We usually use the fitness center at the hotels and resorts we stay at, but the equipment was so old here that we skipped our workout. On the upside; there is a nice trail to the beach. Read more

Great place to stay for the price. Every room has a balcony with an ocean view and the walk to the beach is relatively short and flat. We have stayed several places along the Oregon coast and this hotel has the nicest walk to the beach. No hills or embankments to traverse.

This is a very nice, very clean hotel, but it's in need of a little renovation. For example, the carpet in my room was EXTREMELY clean, but it was pulling up right at the door jam, so I was a little concerned walking in. But everything else was outstanding...worth the price, easy to find right on the 101, and worth a night's stay.

Very friendly helpful staff. All the rooms were ocean front with a great view. The facility could use some updating but was not bad for the cost.

Somewhat noisy, not what one would expect judging by the price. Also, the front desk staff should not say things like: "we need this in case you guys thrash the room" and make comments about how fatigued we looked. Unprofessional.

This hotel resort was truly a gem! Everything was so well done from the moment I was greeted until checkout time. The atmosphere was wonderful; I felt as if I were enveloped in a simple elegance without the pretentious air so many resorts have. What a treat it was to walk into the charming, airy room where the heat was on so it was the most perfect […] tempurature. Not to mention the ocean view & sounds which I viewed both from the deck & the bed. Did I mention the sunset was glorious from the short trail to the beach & from the deck. It was a quiet, peaceful, & restful time and I realized how perfect it would be as a romantic getaway, but it was truly a wonderful place to prepare for a business meeting the next day. The little breakfast room provided a place to enjoy a morning meal, a pleasant surprise addition to many of the specialties offered at the Gold Beach Resort. The list of things, small and large, that impressed me are too numerous to list~from landscaping to fluffy towels, from the friendly, engaging service to the ample mirrored storage I have to say I haven't had a better experience, even in the finest hotels out there. We had a great visit at the Gold Beach Resort. The room was spacious and it was nice that we could bring our dogs. The complimentary breakfast was very good, even though the breakfast room was very cold (it was freezing outside). The bed was a little soft. The view from our second floor room was fantastic. We will definitely stay here again!

I was pleasantly surprised the hotel was better than the pictures or star rating. Hot tub was heaven on a cold day and loved the full hot breakfast. This was a real treat:)

The hotel rooms are really old and in need of an upgrade but the hotel was clean and everything worked. Very conveniently located next to the beach and off 101 and most rooms seem to have an ocean view.

A great place to just relax and enjoy the Southern Oregon coast. The staff was friendly and helpful with directions and recommendations for local dining and activities. Gold Beach is pretty limited in restaurants, especially in the off-season, so the recommendations were appreciated. We did not take advantage of their breakfast offering, but it was […] available in the sun room off of the lobby. The room was clean and comfortable and very large and spacious when compared with other properties in Gold Beach. The free internet access was a nice bonus as well. The beach is immediately accessible from the main building, which is something some of the other hotels nearby are not able to offer. We will return to this location when we are in the area again.
