ALL staff is very polite and helpfull. They will go out of there way to assist you with any of your needs. I would recomend the Clarion to everyone. On the down side they have renovations going on and restaurant is closed and the front desk is a short distance to the elevators. Stop in and say "HI" the staff will greet you with a smile. I have been here the last 7 weekends and VERY HAPPY...

i found it very good the rooms are very comfortable the breakfact is incredible and the beds are so comfty with very soft blankets the bathrooms are so amazing it has a fancy sink alot of towels and very much of soap

This hotel was clean , the staff was helpful and it had every eminity! The restaurant was nice and the hotle room views were great.

Easy walking distance from most everything in downtown Hartford. Great restaurants and bars in the area. Friendly staff and clean hotel. Will be back for both business and pleasure!

"marriott and Convention Center"
I have stayed here 4 times when I was in charge of an event at the convention center...and the staff and the room were both excellent....my only recommendation is more help with valet service...the evening I went to pick up my car there were 2 major events at the hotel...a bat mitzah and a wedding one coming and one going....there were not enough valets […] to recover cars or to park them....I waited over 1/2 hour for my car....this has never happened before but it was the confluence of events....certainly knowing ahead more staff could have been made available..... Had to insist I get the room w/ 2 beds as there were 4 in the party. They said I should only book through their reservation line to get the room I needed however others that booked w/ them had the same problem. No housekeeping services provided to our room all weekend Room service was excellent and the staff were friendly
"Marriot Downtown Hartford"
The front desk lady was extremely nice and helpful. I did not expect to be put on a floor with convention attendees, whom were very loud. The room, and beds were very comfortable, but the room was small for a 4 star hotel. I called room service for more towels and washcloths, which they brought, but then took away without them being used, and never […] replaced them, therefore, I had to call and get some more. They didn't change the sheets on the bed which had pizza sauce from room service accidently spilled on them. Staff was great, would stay there again, just a few minor problems. Read more

"Awesome!!"
This is our second time staying at a Marriot Hotel, and like the first time we were impressed. We absolutely love it. It's an excellent hotel with absolutely clean rooms and comfortable beds, the prices are affordable as well.
"Disappointing"
I arrived at the Marriot and it was fully booked for rooms w/ two beds. The front desk informed me that I could have a King bed with an air mattress as they had run out of rolling beds. I was assured that the air mattress was comfortable. So, I checked in. Not only was the air mattress not comfortable but there wasn't even enough room for it. Furthermore, […] it was not properly inflated and did not include a pump. After this horrible experience, we left the hotel and stayed somewhere else. There are nicer hotels 10 miles from downtown Hartford that are 1/2 the cost. I highly encourage users to seek out those deals. Read more

"beautiful hotel"
the marriott is beautiful. very comfortable, located in downtown hartford. only downfall is you have to pay $20.00 a day for parking. if i had known that in advance i would have stayed somewhere else. originally from ct and never stayed there before.
