The location of the hotel was great. Lots of things surround it and close to city centers. The front desk friendliness could use a bit of work, but when I was upbeat and friendly to her, she returned the kindness. Maybe she was just having a rough night. The hotel room smelled old/moldy; grossed me out for about 15 minutes, then I didn't notice it that night or the next day (guess you just get use to it). Nothing fancy, smaller-full sized bed. Small flat screen. Fridge and microwave were a plus. Shower was a downfall - tile on the floor reminded me of a dorm room and the shower constantly dripped, plus the water only got warm, not hot. But for the price, it did the trick. Wouldn't recommend it, but wouldn't stay to not stay there either.

Simple, older hotel- everythign is not modern tile and carpet, but it is clean and nice. If they were to remodel everything ti would cost twice as much For the price I was extremely happy and would stay there again. I was only in town for business and needed a convenient inexpensive place to sleep, and was pleasantly surprised. The last place I stayed (for the same price) was a major dump

Me and my group were attending a conference at the Rhode Island Convention Center and given our limited budget we were looking for an affordable place to crash in at night. We spent our entire day at the conference leaving around 8 am and returning back at 9 pm. So this came to be the perfect place for our stay and especially very affordable. It is about 4-5 miles away from the downtown but it is located in a mall area with stores such as Sams club, Target, Walmart in the vicinity. There is a TGI friday's on walking distance from the inn, plus you will find plenty of other options such as Chili's, etc within a mile's radius. Regarding the hotel, the staff was very courteous. We were unknowingly booked into a smoking room because of unavailability of non smoking rooms. But the staff let us change into a non smoking room the next day, although there was some miscommunication between the staff. The lady who was on night shift mentioned that she would mention that to the manager once he comes but she did not and we had to do some significant amount of pleading and arguing to the person on duty. Finally she gave in to our request. The rooms are alright, especially the beds in two double bed suites seemed to be a bit crammed in where there is hardly a one foot distance between the bed and the bathroom door. But the space issue did not matter to us as we were simply using to crash in at night. But the rooms were of decent quality given the price and most importantly very clean.

Our only complaint was that the sink in the bathroom had not been cleaned when we arrived. When we brought it to the attention of the manager, he offered to give us another room or have it cleaned immediately. I think it was a problem with one of the employees rather than the hotel. The complimentary morning coffee was surprisingly good and the breakfast snacks welcome. The hotel is only a few minutes from downtown Providence and near lots restaurants and shopping. At the price, we were very surprised at what we found.
