I love the comfort and convenience of Holiday Inn Express Budget Hotels, and I always look forward to enjoying their high level of comfort and high standards, however,,,this one let the image down.My room (307) smelled of stale smoke, despite being marked a "non-smoking room". I dislike the stale odour smoke causes, particularly on towels and bed sheets, […] it just makes other things smell. I'm not against smoking per say, however, it isn't a comfortable environment for me to sleep in. I also get a horrible dry tickle in the back of my throat whenever I have occupied a smokers room. Otherwise, being a Bank Holiday, it was very quiet, which, in one way was an advantage. However, that also meant I could have been put in a lower floor level room. I didn't ask to be moved because I had traveled 325 miles to get there and just needed to crash out. my mistake in not asking I guess. Read more

Good facilities but a little strange location. Cinema, KFC,MDs,pub and a Frankie and Bennys, but not a lot else. easy to find. We went to Warwick Castle for the day and fancied a stop over. Room was ok, but window was drafty, TV a bit slow to control, bit crowded for the 4 of us. Breakfast basic but sufficient. Was worried about being next to a loud […] banging door to the lift/stairs but was unable to move rooms. as it happened was not busy and didn't get bothered by it. Room seemed clean but a few broken tiles in bathroom(although seem new so poorly fitted?) and shower (no bath) support was lose. Meant to mention on check out but forgot. Nice hotel and good location for eateries and cinema and not far from M1. Road behind makes it very noisy at night rooms very warm so choice between open window and noise or closed and boiling. Nice friendly staff and good breakfast.

A very average hotel. Nothing to get excited about but equally nothing really to complain about either - especially for the price we paid. Breakfast was not particularly nice. Over crowded and not replenished fast enough to cope with the volume of people. Again just adequate based on what we paid.

It's a budget hotel so they focus on rooms, not additional facilities. Large room, large bed, crisp sheets, teamaking, desk, good bathroom, high level of cleanliness, toiletries. All well thought out and a clear emphasis on quality. We normaly stay in travel lodges but we found the Holiday Inn to be as reasonable but with many extras including better rooms and a free breakfast. The only problem i had with this particular Holiday Inn was the toaster in the resturant was set wrong creating a smell of burnt toast hitting you right from the reception. The only disappointing aspect was the shower tray didn't drain after use which had to be reported to maintenance and must have been a issue to previous guests. The staff are always happy to help..will provide you with anything you need and are always around. The hotel is clean in all areas even the stairs carpet is spotless. The eating area is kept clean and re stocked on a rgular basis. I have nothing bad to say. Well done guys.

I can't fault the room or the service. Wr had a problem with the shower and it was sorted within 20 minutes. BUT Don't have the cooked breakfast. A combination of ultra cheap sausages and dried out scrambled egg with baked beans was on offer. No bacon or mushrooms or black pudding or tomatoes. To all intents and purposes, the hotel was okay. The reception was roomy and clean - a good first impression. The room was just large enough for 2 people and a novelty was having enough shelf space in the bathroom. However, the room was far too hot and even with the draught coming through the "double glazed" window and turning the temperature down, […] it was still uncomfortable. Hotel room doors never seem to close quietly and although there were not many guests during my stay (24 & 25 Dec), there was still enough slamming of doors to wake me during the nights. The single bed was comfortable enough, but a combination of the heat in the room and the too short duvet made sleep so difficult that I cannot remember when I ever had such bad rest on 2 consecutive nights. The hotel was on the outskirts of Nuneaton, so there was no external noise, although the internal noise more than made up for it, but the view from the bedroom window was that of a derelict bombsite. Breakfast was included in the price and had to be, as there was nowhere else to go. That being the case, you would have thought an effort would have been made to provide something decent. But no! Cereals were in boxes (ok), yogurts in pots (again ok), but "fresh" fruit was out of tins. The bread was what I call "pappy", in other words, it did not toast, but just turned black. The "hot" food was only warm and apart from the baked beans inedible. The sausages were tastless and looked as though they had been there from the night before and the scrambled egg was not made from fresh eggs but some kind of processed egg. "You gets what you pays for", but in this case I consider that I was grossly overcharged. Read more

I had a great stay at this Hotel. The room was great, clean and tidy and everything worked. The reception staff in the early evening were very friendly and the staff in the evening on my return were delightful. I was very pleased with everything and the stay until I went for Breakfast, that really let itself down. There was quite clearly a full hotel […] with only one member of staff doing breakfast. The reception staff were unable to help as they had a large check out. I turned up for Breakfast and no member of staff was in the room. I looked at all the tables and not one was left clean for me to be able to eat my breakfast!! I had to clear away a space so that I could sit down alongside all the dirty cups, plates etc..... I know that they were busy and the reception staff when I went to tell them said all I had to say was ask them. I have to say you do not feel so inclined when you have your coffee in one hand and your food in the other. To then walk into reception which is full of all the people checking out....... I did ask if I could fill out a comment sheet to give feedback. The reception staff tried to find me one and couldn't. They then informed me there would be on in the pack in the room I had stayed in. I had just checked out!!! They went to get the form for me from the room,,,, I went to fill it in and it was already written on. They did say that they would pass on to the General Manager.
